Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

History: Bruni is a stunning young lab mix who needed help locally in Northern MN along with her adorable 5 little sidekicks. They settled into a wonderful foster home and now are officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hello I’m Bruni. I’m the momma of the “sidekicks litter.” I did a fantastic job, taking care of my babies, but now it’s time to be taken care of myself. I am the happiest girl around! I love snuggling up with my people! I do well in my kennel and am completely potty trained. I’m a bit of a counter surfer so make sure all food is put away. I’m a great listener though! However, if I don’t want to listen, I will move so very slowly in an attempt to sneak, even though we’re both looking straight at each other as I do it. I’m a very playful girl with my furry foster siblings but I was very nervous about them at first, but that makes sense because it’s my job to protect and take care of my babies. My foster mom is very sure that I will be friends with other dogs with less hesitation once I am away from my babies. I am good with cats too!

History: We recently welcomed a group of adult Wheaten Terriers who were being released from a commercial breeding program after the program was selling out. It is a big feat for these and any future wheatens that would have been produced from this program.
The ones who came to CHDR are doing well in their foster homes but very shut down and timid yet. They will thrive with patient and confident adopters who are willing to put the time into growing a bond with their new dog as it may take some time to develop but these dogs are SO SO worth it. They are amazing souls who each deserve their forever home!
A Note from the Foster: Meet this beautiful 2-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who is just beginning her journey to the life she’s always deserved. After spending her early years in a commercial breeding program, she’s learning—step by step—that the world can be a safe and loving place.
She is a gentle, quiet, sensitive soul who is still building trust with people, but she has discovered that your lap is a safe place and she relaxes easily for a comfy nap. Ciara finds comfort and confidence in the company of other dogs and does wonderfully with her canine companions. Having a friendly resident dog in her new home would be a big plus for her continued growth.
She prefers to potty outside, but will use a potty pad if needed as she continues to progress in that area. She’s also just starting to learn the basics, like walking on a leash, and will need a securely fenced yard where she can feel safe while she explores and gains confidence at her own pace.
Her ideal family will be patient, understanding, and full of love—people who will celebrate every small milestone, whether it’s taking a few brave steps on a leash or choosing to come closer for affection. In return, she will quietly blossom into a devoted and loving companion.
If you have a gentle heart and the willingness to give her the time she needs, you’ll be rewarded with something truly special: the joy of watching a once-unsure dog discover happiness, trust, and love.

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
This stunning litter of petite lab/shepherd mixes available to rescue with their mom, Holly who arrived skin and bones. She has a wonderful temperament like her puppies and they are each hoping to find forever homes soon!
A Note from the Foster: This beautiful Lab/Shepherd mix made her journey all the way from Texas and is settling in wonderfully in Minnesota. Holly has already lived quite the life for a young pup — In December, she gave birth to 12 puppies and was an incredible mama. Now that her babies have all found places to land, it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby. She's back to a healthy weight and is adoring life in a real home.
Holly is doing fantastic with her house manners. She's completely potty trained and kennel trained. She'll sleep all night without a peep and waits patiently to be let out in the morning. She’s super smart and loves to have a job - she's always checking in with her humans and loves to show off her sit/shake/lay down skills, especially when treats are involved! She loves to walk the neighborhood and explore new places, but she's also chill enough to just lay around the house when the weather doesn't cooperate.
Holly had a rough start, and is therefore a bit wary of other dogs. She doesn't show any aggression, but she does have a big bark and likes to have her own space. She's super quiet at home and on walks, but she will bark at other dogs who come too close. She would do best as the only dog in the house or with a very laid back male dog.
After being such a devoted mom, Holly deserves a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and included in all of life’s adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and confident companion who’s ready for her next chapter, Holly might just be your perfect match. 💛

A Note from the Foster: From the LoneStar state to the North Star state, Honey came to our home and slipped right into family life. She has beautiful marking and the loveliest eyeliner eyes! Being a one year old has teenage dog energy but settles down easily and overall has a calm demeanor. She is an easy keeper seeking solace in her kennel or being right by you or better, in your lap or getting a belly rub or affection. She loves walks and does well on a leash not pulling but is starting to see birds or critters and find them curious. She is easily redirected with a treat and has learned sit and down; she will be easy to train as her breed is smart. She eats and drinks like a charm, takes treats gently and loves peanut butter or cheese, loves a benebone to chew or a soft toy too She sleeps over night in her kennel without a peep and keeps her kennel clean at night. She naps throughout the day and is quiet in her kennel when she is in there.
She knows to pee and poop outside but has had some occasional potty accidents as is still young and learning her way. She loves people and we are working on not jumping on them as she is very excited to meet you. She has interest in dogs and wants to play with them. Proper introductions to dogs will be important if she will be with another dog. She travels in the car well in a kennel.. She will make a lovely pet for anyone!

History: Jackie is a stunning young cattle dog mix who was adopted and returned to rescue due to not being a fit for cats in the home. She loves other dogs and would thrive with another dog in the home to be play with. She is a loving girl who hopes to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi, I'm Jackie! I'm a smart, incredibly sweet, very high energy girl looking for the perfect forever home. I was at Coco's previously and adopted, but I couldn't get along with the resident cat, so I'm back looking for a cat-free and small animal free home. I LOVE other dogs and would do great in a home where I have a playmate. I would also do well with children if they are a little older and can help remind me not to jump up on them. I still have a lot of puppy in me and am working on my manners. Jumping up and pulling on the leash while being walked are the things I am currently working on. I'm so smart and very gentle hearted (except to cats and squirrel's). With exercise and consistent training my foster mom is positive I'll the best dog. I'm already doing great with potty training, sleeping through the night in my crate and most commands (sit, wait, give). Once I've had enough exercise I love napping and a good snuggle on the couch. I'll curl right up with you and give you as much love as you want.
What I need to be a good dog for you is a solid 2-3 mile walk in the morning, some fetch time and maybe second walk every day. Firm but gentle reminders not to jump up are helpful, but what I want most is your praise, belly rubs and love.

History: Lovis is a beautiful girl who needed help locally from Minnesota and arrived to rescue with a litter of older puppies by her side. Turns out, she was pregnant again and has been a wonderful momma to them.
Lovis is heartworm positive and is available as a foster to adopt while she completes her treatment.
A Note from the Foster: Lovis got her name because she is just that - loving! Lovis is about 2 years old but has already had 2 litters. She is ready to be done with mom life and move on to the good life! She is a low maintenance, laid back dog. She is kennel trained, walks great on a leash, and will go to the door and whine when she needs to go out! She almost never barks. She is great with kids and is very affectionate towards them. At night, she likes to check on my kids to make sure they are safe in their beds. She enjoys walks but isn't very high energy and doesn't require a long walk every day. In fact, if it is rainy or cold, she will go potty and want to go right back inside. She loves to get pets and be told she is a good girl and she will sometimes smile when she is getting attention. Her favorite activities are relaxing at your feet waiting for a belly rub and chewing on toys with squeakers.

History: Maliboo is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Maliboo (Mal/Mali) is beautiful big girl with a mellow disposition. Mali loves to follow her people around and is really enjoying being loved and cared for properly.
Thanks to the vet staff at Coco’s, Mali can finally breath! This has really allowed her personality to shine through. She’s a lovable potato girl who’s curious about everything. She loves being outside whether for a brief nap in the sun or following her foster mom around while she does yard work.
Although Mali is on the bigger side, she can move pretty quickly, navigates stairs and even jumps on lower furniture. Mal is currently working to get her summer bod. Feeling better now Mali is enjoying exercise.
Potty training hasn’t been much of an issue with Mali. She keeps her kennel clean and sleeps in her kennel at night.
Mali gets along pretty well with other dogs with proper introduction. She’s learning how to play with her toys. She likes this carry them around the house with her.
Mali can be vocal at times-not barking but making sounds more like a rooster or even a little like howling. It’s unique. Given this she may be best suited for single family house living.
If you’re looking for a loving mellow pal Mal is your gal.

History: Marge is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Marge has made steady progress over the last 5 months! I think the biggest thing her forever home will need to know is that she will make progress over months and not days. But other than the fact that she doesn't like being touched, she is a sassy girl who loves life and romping around the backyard - even in the snow! She like to be on neighborhood watch and bark at the neighborhood dogs and her favorite snack is a fried egg. She'll throw her head and bark at me if I'm too slow chopping it up with scissors - apparently I am always too slow for her liking :)
She used to have about a 6 foot bubble of distance she'd always keep between her and I and now it's about 1 foot. Marge will now take food out of my hand after working on it consistently for about 2 months. She is doing better with simple commands like "come inside" and she just recently started spending time on the couch with my resident dog and I! She is on anti anxiety meds currently and we're not sure if they're as effective as we'd hope for them to be so we might try a new one in the new year.
She has a huge personality and has been so fun to get to know. I'm confident that with consistency, she will continue to make progress!

A Note from the Foster: May has settled into her foster home very well since arriving at rescue and is such a happy-go-lucky dog. She loves affection from people and has been wonderful with everyone she’s met so far. She’s very smart, food motivated, and has been picking up new skills and routines quickly, including threshold training. May loves going on walks to sniff around the neighborhood or explore the park, but she also settles down nicely afterward to relax at home. She’s been doing great in a condo setting with shared walls because she is not a big barker and has been very quiet both inside and outside the home. May is also very adaptable and would do well in an apartment, or house with a backyard to explore. She settles into her crate easily after walks or time outside and seems to view it as a safe, comfortable space.
House training: fully house trained and has not had any accidents.
Crate training: she sleeps through the night in her crate and does well there while we’re away at work.
Favorite activities: walks, running around at the park, feeding puzzles, and getting lots of pets.
Leash training: she is doing well on leash walking and responds nicely to redirection if she gets distracted by an especially interesting smell. She is not reactive to dogs or people on walks.
Things we work on: May is already a very well-rounded dog, so we mainly continue reinforcing good manners and building on the training she’s picked up so quickly.
May would make a wonderful addition to an individual or family looking for an affectionate and adaptable companion. She could easily do well in an apartment, condo, or home setting as long as she gets attention, affection, and daily time to explore the world around her.

Meredith does need to be the only dog in the home because of the reactivity but she still gets along and is playful with other dogs. Smart as a whip, she knows many commands including: sit, twirl, kennel, dance, play dead (all the way - to finalize), and many others. Very quick to pick up on cues in our home as well, she knows "inside" when she is called to come in and generally good about responding quickly to the command. She is so good about letting you know when she wants to go outside and has figured out how to open certain door handles. Meredith is not a counter surfer but is very motivated by food which has been great for training.
She is very comfortable in the kennel but we have no concerns in leaving her out of her kennel while we're gone, she loves to just sit by the window and watch the world until you return! A couple of things that Meredith is working on: she does like to eat poop so we do ensure that when she goes outside that we pick it up right away and sometimes means correcting her when she tries to eat it right away. She is always so happy and energetic when her people come home so she can sometimes show that by placing your arm or shirt in her mouth to pull you to where she wants to go, she responds well to correction for this though.
Meredith loves walks and she is definitely in her teenage phase with bursts of energy and she loves to play whether it's fetch, tug, chase, or just running around. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite and she is slow to warm for snuggles but when you get them, you know they are well earned! She's such a fun, sweet, unique girl to have around!!

History: Nama is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Nama, or as we like to call her Polar Bear!
Nama is 1.5 years old weighing 44 lbs.
We have fallen fast and hard for this girl. She loves to be next to people and give your hand a soft kiss. While Nama loves her people, movements still make her a little skittish.
Nama will need a patient family that’s ready to celebrate all her firsts!! This girl is going to flourish right before a loving family’s eyes!
In her very short time with us, she walks nicely outside around the yard for potty breaks.
She picked up a ball in the yard and chewed it!! Nama even played with a toy in the house for a hot minute. I am sure this is her very first time having a toy. With her young instincts, we can see toys becoming a big part of her future 😊
Nama loves to roll in the grass, especially after her bath or brushing. That silly side is peeking out!
Nama does wonderful in her kennel. She also loves the other doggie in the house or when she sees one outside.
Nama is gentle in nature, and she will make a loyal family companion!
You won’t want to miss out on this girl!

History: Norski is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Norski is brave, clever, and just a little mischievous. True to her husky side, she loves to “talk” and will happily carry on conversations about just about anything—so she may not be the best fit for a home with shared walls!
She loves walks, although she’s still working on the whole “getting leashed up” part. Norski also has opinions about her crate, she seeks it out as a safe space and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’d rather be out exploring.
She’s making good progress with house training. With a consistent feeding schedule and frequent potty breaks, she does very well. She’s even starting to ask to go outside—though sometimes it’s more about playtime in the yard than potty time.
Norski gets along well with our resident husky, but we think she could also thrive as an only dog in the right home. She enjoys being close to her people, though she’s still figuring out how she feels about pets and affection, and may move away when touched.
With patience and understanding, Norski will absolutely blossom in the right home.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: Paisley is settling in beautifully with her foster family and making amazing progress every day!
This sweet girl is a seriously quick learner. She knows sit and down, goes right into her kennel on command, and waits patiently for the ok before eating her meals or leaving her crate. She sleeps through the night in her kennel without any issues. She's been making incredible progress on leash manners in a short time and walks nicely by your side with only the occasional reminder, though she still gets a little excited about birds and other dogs on walks.
Paisley recently attended her first adoption event where she met several new dogs and lots of new people. She did great with all of them! While she was more interested in exploring the store than schmoozing, she was calm and well-behaved the whole time. She can still be a little shy around new people and prefers to observe from a safe distance before deciding if someone is worth meeting, but she's getting braver every week.
Paisley is on a low dose anti-anxiety medication that has been working really well. She's grown so much in confidence since arriving in her foster home. She's more willing to explore on her own, both inside the house and out in the backyard, and she's learning to relax and just hang out while her foster family goes about their day. She's been doing great on housetraining with only occasional minor accidents.
Paisley is a beautiful brown lab mix with striking eyes, a thick soft coat, and the sweetest face. She's about 10 months old with so much potential. She loves to give kisses and will lick just about anything and anyone given the chance! She's an affectionate girl who likes to be near her people and is building her independence more every day.
Paisley needs a forever home that will keep up the great work and give her the love and consistency she deserves. Could that be you?

History: We welcomed this beautiful momma dog, Quattro to rescue from Northern MN when she was found to be expecting a litter of puppies. Her whelping and pregnancy unfortunately was a tougher one as she lost about half of her litter despite so much effort, tough work, and love from their foster mom and our veterinary team. The remaining four puppies are thriving and doing well however as they are now officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Some dogs give you their trust slowly… and when they do, it is the most beautiful gift.
I welcomed Quattro into rescue from northern Minnesota on January 25 when she was extremely pregnant, timid, and unsure of her surroundings. Just days later, on January 31, she gave birth to nine puppies. Sadly, over the following weeks, she lost five of her babies. While we cannot be certain, our best guess is that she experienced poor nutrition during pregnancy and may have delivered early.
Despite such a heartbreaking start, Quattro has been an incredible mother. She has lovingly raised her four surviving boys into happy, playful, confident puppies who adore life.
We estimate Quattro to be around two years old, but she still has a wonderful playful spirit that sometimes makes her seem like a puppy herself. She genuinely enjoys playing with my four-year-old resident dog as well as engaging with her puppies. Watching her romp around the yard with real interest and delight is one of the best parts of fostering her.
When she first arrived, Quattro was very fearful of new people and environments. She is still a shy girl when meeting new people, and adopters should expect that she may not immediately show her full personality during a meet-and-greet. But once she feels safe, she transforms into one of the most affectionate, gentle, and devoted companions I have ever fostered.
At home, Quattro absolutely loves to snuggle. She carefully approaches from the side and politely waits for permission before climbing into my lap, where she melts into pets, hugs, and kisses. She greets me each morning and every time I return home from work with joyful excitement that she can barely contain.
She loves being outside exploring and running around the yard in all kinds of weather. Snow doesn’t bother her at all, and while rain isn’t her favorite, she still happily heads out. She plays incredibly gently with both puppies and adult dogs and has wonderful manners with food and treats — never grabby or pushy.
Quattro is potty trained, though while nursing she has had access to an indoor bathroom area when I am sleeping or away at work due to increased food and water intake. As her puppies continue to wean, she is learning to enjoy all the finer things in life — toys, chews, playtime, scratches, and the comfort of being truly loved.
Quattro doesn’t need someone to fix her — she needs someone willing to give her a little time to bloom. The person who chooses her will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal, tender-hearted dog whose love feels very special because it is so deeply earned.
Quattro’s Ideal Home
Quattro will thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs may need a little time to feel safe and show their true personalities. A predictable routine and gentle encouragement will help her continue building confidence.
She would likely do very well with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes, as she truly enjoys canine companionship and playful interaction. She also loves being outdoors and would enjoy a home where she can explore a yard or go on relaxed walks.
Once she feels secure, Quattro forms deep bonds and becomes an affectionate, loyal companion who loves snuggling, playtime, and simply being near her people. Her future family will need to give her space to adjust at her own pace — but the reward will be watching her blossom into the happy, loving dog she is meant to be.

A Note from the Foster: Sophie is settling in very nicely. She gets along with everyone she meets, people and dogs. She is a shepherd mix so she has a high prey drive and might not do well with smaller animals but could learn to with slow introductions because she’s super smart and picks up on expectations quickly. She’s perfectly potty trained and sleeps quietly in her kennel. She is a bit of a jumper and needs consistent boundaries with keeping her feet on the floor. Sophie is the perfect mix of shepherd traits with smaller size. If you’ve wanted a German Shepherd companion but can’t do the large size, Sophie weighs in at only 45 lbs. She’s got a ton of spunk and will add joy to any home.

History: Starry is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Looking for a little light in your life? Starry girl will light up your world!
She is a super sweet petite girl just under 7 lbs with the most stunning eyes (that are two different colors!), softest fur, and kind demeanor.
She has quickly come out of her shell and has learned how to master stairs, sit, and has gotten the hang of going for walks alongside the resident dog for guidance.
She’s very curious and will check on her people to see what they’re up to—and then has no problem finding a toy (or dog) to play with nearby. Once she’s done playing, she loves to curl up on a soft blanket for a nice nap. She also enjoys a good belly rub and will thank you with gentle licks in return :)
Starry is still working on potty training and has an occasional accident, but has been doing well on a schedule. She is also treat motivated so that has been helping her with learning new things!
She gets along and plays well with our resident dog and foster to adopt dog, who are similar size and breed to Starry. She may benefit from having a confident companion in her forever home to continue to learn from.
Starry hopes to find her forever family soon!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.
A Note from the Foster: Sugar Bean is doing great. She has been with us for nearly a year now and is a wonderful family dog. She did amazing around many people throughout the holidays. While she is great with older children, she doesn’t always know how to play with younger ones and can be a bit too rough for them. This is an update that could be added to her profile.
Here are a few more things we have learned about Bean:
- Toy Enthusiast: She loves playing with her toys and goes crazy for rubber balls. We got her a glow-in-the-dark ball that keeps her easily entertained for at least 30 minutes.
- Winter Lover: She absolutely adores the snow and cold. She would happily stay outside all day in -20° weather if we let her!
- Daily Zoomies: She has regular "zoomies" (both indoors and out) to let us know when she’s excited or happy.
- Happy Noises: She makes a series of little grunts when she is happy and content, usually while snuggling next to us on the couch.
She is a sweet, unique, and playful pup whose personality shines every day. Anyone would be lucky to have her.

A Note from the Foster: Sweetie here - I decided it was time to update my profile. My foster mom says I’ve made fantastic progress since coming from ND in early November.
First off - I don’t take the best selfies but I am beautiful! I have a soft white double coat like a husky and the cute ears of an Aussie. I’d love to meet you in person so you see my beauty inside and out.
Although I have limited vision and hearing I live a normal dog life. Once you meet me you’ll see how I don’t let these things interfere from living my best life.
The most important thing I’m looking for in my forever home is an active owner/family that loves outdoor activities. I need a home with outdoor space - a fenced yard would be perfect for me. I love to run laps daily to stay in shape and burn off energy. Apartment life is definitely not for me.
A few more things about me. My foster mom says I’m loyal and affectionate. I jingle the bells on the door when I want to go potty. I’ve learned to walk on a leash and enjoy them. I do well with other dogs - ideally a companion dog would be similar in size and like to play and run.
I’m only 2 so I still have some puppy energy. I’m curious and follow my foster mom everywhere. I love having a variety of toys and bones to chew on and carry around the house.
I am so excited to meet the right person(s) to have a forever home. I’m ready to give my loyalty and my heart forever. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. 💙💛

A Note from the Foster: Tillie is a gentle, loving soul who’s just waiting for the right home to truly shine. She can be a bit timid at first and startles easily, but with a little patience and kindness, she warms up and reveals her deeply affectionate nature. Tillie forms strong bonds with her chosen people and absolutely adores them, offering quiet companionship and loyal love.
She’s a very chill, easygoing dog in the home who walks beautifully on a leash, no pulling at all, and is both potty and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a daily routine. Tillie has done well with older kids, though she hasn’t been around younger ones yet. She can be fearful, so she’ll need a patient environment where she can build trust at her own pace.
Because Tillie bonds so closely with her person, she can become protective, particularly around other dogs during introductions. She will need slow, structured meet-and-greets to help her feel safe and set her up for success.
Tillie is also very aware of other dogs and can become highly focused on them, especially along fences or on walks. While she has coexisted with another dog, introductions should be handled thoughtfully, as she may become protective of her person in those moments. She may do best as the only dog or with an experienced adopter who can provide guidance and structure.
Despite her sensitive nature, Tillie has a playful side and enjoys lighthearted moments, especially with those she feels safe around.
Tillie would thrive in a calm, understanding home, ideally with an experienced adopter, who can provide structure, patience, and reassurance as she continues to build confidence. In the right environment, she will reward her person with deep loyalty, affection, and a truly special bond!

History: We received an urgent plea to help a momma dog with her 9 newborn pups in a rural impound where they were living on the cold concrete. They were able to secure a foster family and made it to rescue! They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: more info to come

A Note from the Foster: Hi there… I’m Wilma! ❤️
I’m a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix from Texas. I’m 65 pounds of pure sweetness (if I do say so myself). Life has been quite the journey so far, but I’m ready to find my fur-ever home!
Let me tell you a little about me. I love people — especially my little human friends. I’ve been so gentle and patient with a toddler and even an 8-month-old baby. I seem to understand that tiny humans need extra care, and I’m always happy to be their calm, loving companion. I was a little apprehensive of the dogs in my foster home at first but I’m quickly learning that they can be fun! I could be happy in home with a doggie pal (preferably male) or by myself too.
I’m also a great co-pilot if you like car rides. I settle in and enjoy the journey right alongside you. My foster mom says I’m a “watch the world go by” kind of gal. At home, I’ve been very polite — no accidents here! I’ve got this potty training thing pretty well figured out.
My favorite place to be? Right next to you. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just hanging out, I’m perfectly content laying at your feet, keeping you company. I’m not a needy girl — just being near my people makes me happiest.
That said, I do have a little bit of that Great Pyrenees spirit in me. I’d love a home with a backyard—especially one with a fence—where I can stretch my legs, explore, and just be my majestic, fluffy self.
Oh, and I should mention… I’m a big fan of kisses and all the pets you’re willing to give. Seriously, I will soak up every bit of love you have. My foster mom says I’m the sweetest, calmest foster she’s ever had.
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and loving companion, I’ve got a heart as big as Texas. I promise to fill your home with warmth, calm, and a whole lot love.
Love,
Wilma 🐾
