Sona

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Lhasa Apso
Age: Est DOB: 03/2024
Weight: TBA
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Sona is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Sona is ready to find a forever home filled with love, patience, and plenty of head rubs. She is full of curiosity and charm—always eager to explore, play, and snuggle up when the day winds down. She loves to give kisses and hugs.

She is learning the ropes of being a great companion, including house training and basic manners. House training is a work in progress. She has some tells, and I am just working with her to get her outside timely. I think with the warm weather coming soon, she will be trained in no time. With a little consistency and a lot of love, this pup will grow into an amazing lifelong friend.

Whether it’s chasing toys, discovering the backyard or curling up on her dog bed, Sona is happiest just being near me. While she is still skittish, she is making so much progress! And is being very brave.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
