Sugar Bean

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd & Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2023
Weight: 47 lbs
Dog Friendly: Needs to be only dog
Cat Friendly: No
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

A Note from the Foster: Sugar Bean is a 1.5-year-old Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Weighing in at 45 lbs, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion for someone who loves the outdoors and cozy nights in.

This smart, spunky girl is all about balance—she’s happy to join you on long walks or hikes, and just as content snoozing by your side during a lazy afternoon. She’s got a serious love for rubber balls, chew bones, and digging little “treasure spots” in the yard to bury her favorite toys (it’s adorable, trust us).

Sugar Bean is a bit of a sass queen and isn’t afraid to let you know when it’s time for some attention. She also loves window-watching and keeping tabs on the neighborhood happenings.

Sugar Bean is looking for a home where she can be your one and only pet. She does not like other dogs in her space and prefers to be the solo star of the show. She has also got a strong prey drive that will not do good with other small animals in her forever home. But in return, you’ll get 100% of her loyalty, love, and hilarious quirks.

If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, and active companion who’ll make every day more entertaining, Sugar Bean just might be your perfect match!

Adoption Fee: $510 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
