A Note from the Foster:Say hello to Luna!
Hi there! I’m Luna — a bouncy, joyful North Dakota girl who’s almost 4 months old and very excited to meet you! I made the big trip to Coco’s Heart on April 13 (at least that’s what the humans tell me — I mostly remember the snacks).
Since arriving, I’ve discovered some of life’s greatest joys: playing, running, snuggling, and having a full belly. Can you believe I get food every single day? At first, I ate like it might disappear (old habits!), but now I know the good stuff keeps coming, so I take my time and really savor it. Especially pupperonis. I get one every time I go in my kennel — and let me tell you, they are magical.
I’m currently living in a foster home while I wait for my forever family, and oh boy, I can’t wait to meet you! I’ve been practicing all the things I’ll do when we’re together — like giving tons of kisses (I'm told I’m very generous), running zoomies in the yard and showing off my serious toy skills. If you're into playing tug or fetch, we're going to get along great.
But mostly? I just want to make you happy. I’ve got so much love, wiggles, and tail wags to give — an endless supply, really. My foster mom says I’m always happy, that I sleep like a rock (with adorable snores, thank you very much), and make the funniest little snuffle sounds. She says I keep up just fine with my foster buddy, Topher, who has a lot of energy — challenge accepted!
I’m trying to be patient, but I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ve got my paws crossed that it’s with you.
Love and wiggles,
Luna

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
