Female Puppies

Alani

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: She is getting used to going to the door when she needs to go potty, yay! She loves to play and has taken a shine to a tug of war rope we got her. She is pretty well behaved besides her puppy crazy puppy times. She likes to chew so we have gotten her crinkly toys and those sorts of things besides the chew bones (not much interest on the chew bones often, more toy oriented) she like slippers so keep those away! She will curl up at your feet (wherever you are) for nap time. She is still learning to walk on a leash, but she doesnt pull, just doesnt walk straight 🤪

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Alexandra

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Husky & Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Alexandra is non-stop puppy energy. If she had her way, she’d play with our resident dog morning to night. She hasn’t learned boundaries yet, so taking a hint from them when to stop hasn’t been her strong suit. Potty training is still new to her. Crate training is coming along. She wants to be around her people and she’ll let you know she’s not happy about the crate, but quiets down quickly. She sleeps there at night and is used to frequent breaks there throughout the day. She is quickly learning to come on command and isn’t far from getting the hang of “fetch”. She loves people. She is doing well on a leash. She is a good eater. She hasn’t been exposed to cats.

History: I am Jannali’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Jannali is a beautiful mini aussie who arrived to rescue and surprise! Was expecting a litter of puppies. As her puppies continued to grow, we became more convinced they are aussie/poodle mixes of some sort based on their coat textures but we do not have confirmation on who dad was so cannot make any guarantees. They are a super sweet family who hopes to find their forever homes soon!

Breed: Pitbull Terrier & Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 06/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Bella was recently returned to rescue due to no fault of her own and upon her return, it was determined she has crystals in her urine that she is now on a special diet food for to help support. She has been doing well back in rescue and is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: I’m a southern Bella that came to rescue in September from Texas with my two siblings! And looking for my forever family.

I’m an energetic, playful pup that loves rope toys, benebones, tug of war, fetch, squeaky toys, and my people. I know some basic commands of my name, sit, down, and come.  I’m trying to get the hang of potty training and really want to be successful.

Unfortunately, I have issues with crystals in my urine that is causing struggles with training.  I’m currently on a special food to help.  I’m not a fan of my crate and takes me a bit to calm down, however I’m doing great sleeping through the night in there and have been spending time in my crate while my foster family is away.

I love love to play with my resident dog and the kids in my foster family.  I’m still trying to figure out snow but my resident dog is showing me how fun it is to play in the snow.  I love my bed and blankets and will cuddle up for a nap in them.  I’m adjusting well to being with my foster family and learning the environment. I’m looking for my forever family where I can get all the cuddle, love, and play! ❤️

Chloe

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever & Bulldog Mix (best guess)
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Yes

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Chloe is a gorgeous dark grayish/silver mix of muscle and love with the most beautiful hazel eyes. She came to us from Texas, where she was formerly known as Callie and seems to know and answer to that name. She is an all-star house guest, potty trained, calm and respectful, sleeps through the night and loves her crate – although not as much as snuggling on the couch with you!

Her quirks are our favorite… she quietly snores when she sleeps, bounces when she’s excited, jumps over the top of our resident golden when they play outside, and gets so jealous of anyone getting loves that she inevitably wiggles her way right into the middle!

At approximately 5 or 6 months old, she’s already 45 lbs and is expected to grow into a large and impressive adult. The experts from TX to WI have all weighed in, and we have guesses on her breed that range from labrador retriever, bull dog, cane corso, pit bull to mastiff. Whatever her breed, she’s got the sweetest temperament and is going to make a great addition to any family. She loves our kids, plays great with our resident dog, and has so much love to give.

She was a scared girl when she came to us, choosing to spend most of her day in her crate. Over the course of a week, she now only goes into her crate when we prompt her to. She’s completely overcome her fear and is ready to give out kisses and snuggles on the couch at every opportunity possible! She was also found to have hip laxity and is expected to get x-rays at her next appointment to find out more about any possible implications. That doesn’t seem to slow her down or cause her any pain, as far as we can tell! She’s a sweet, sensitive, and loyal young dog with so much potential. She’s looking for a family who will continue to help her grow in confidence and enjoy all the companionship, playfulness, and devotion she has to offer.

A Note from the Foster: Cora is a playful, people-loving sweetheart who thrives on companionship. She adores being near her humans and loves romping around with the resident dog in her temporary foster home. She’s social, curious, and full of happy puppy energy.

Cora is making steady progress with potty training, with most accidents happening on pads. She also sleeps well in her kennel overnight, usually waking only once.

History: We received a plea to help an absolutely precious litter of puppies who found themselves living on the cold concrete of a rural impound and needed a second chance. They are stunning pups who hope to find their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Deputy here!!  I am 8 weeks old and full of wiggles. I am weighing in at 10.6 lbs.

I arrived in Wisconsin with my siblings after a long ride from North Dakota.

My foster family says I like to be in the middle of the sibling wrestling matches.

I am very adorable with a shiny black and white coat!

I am working very hard on-going potty outside. I know when my paws hit the grass its potty time. Foster mommy is so proud of how we are all doing.

I am eating and going potty on a schedule, foster mommy says that is important!

I am very young so I should have someone at home to let me out for potty breaks during the day, and to get the socialization I need at an early age.

I am so excited to find my forever family.  Please come get me soon,  while I am still tiny with puppy smells!!

Love ~. Deputy!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Dia! The sweet and spunky girl came to Coco’s from this year’s Out of the Cold event in search of her forever home and is learning what the good life is all about!  She is adjusting well to life in a busy home with two kids, quickly learning rules of the house and basic commands, and has been a champ in her crate at night and while we are away.  She is food motivated and a fast learner,  doing well with potty training and learning to walk on a leash. This playful girl loves toys, running and wrestling with our resident dog, and is grateful for all attention. One of Dia’s quirks we love are her overly dramatic, loud groans when she does her sleepy stretches.

Overall, she has a great temperament for family life and would be an excellent addition! How can you resist her pretty hazel eyes!

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: “There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home.  There’s no place like home.”  Oh hello there, I’m little Miss Dorothy clicking my ruby red heels together and dreaming of my forever home and family.

I came to Cocos about three weeks ago with my brother from Out of the Cold; literally we were living outside, under a home almost frozen when we were rescued.  Even though first few months of my life were tough I’m now living the good life of an indoor, loved pet in my foster home and I’m thriving.  Everyday I’m learning, getting healthier and growing into an adorable little nugget as my foster mom calls me.

I’m about 19-weeks old already but on the petite size for a lab mix, so I’ll probably stay on the smaller size.  What I lack in size I make up for in heart and bravery (good thing for my friends the Lion and Scarecrow).  I love playing with my brother and the larger resident dogs here.  Snow was scary for me at first but now I’m a pro at the zoomies outside.  I’m also doing exceptionally well with potty training and can sleep through the night like a champ.

Can I come home with you?  Having my own family and home for the holidays is my only wish and I sure hope you can help me make that come true.

Meet Dottie!

Hi there! I'm Dottie, one of three sweet sisters looking for our forever homes. I'm the mellow one of the bunch - calm, gentle, and happiest when I find the perfect cozy spot to nap.

When it's mealtime, I like to take my time and savor every bite of my kibble (a true foodie at heart!). My foster family gives me my own quiet space to eat, so my speedy sisters don't sneak any extras from my bowl.

If you're looking for a loving, laid-back companion who enjoys naps, snuggles, and peaceful company, I might just be your perfect match! And injury not forget I love my 5 year old human foster brother, he is the best!! Like my other two sisters we love Ronny our foster humans and can't wait to love on other two legged buddies..

No matter which sister steals your heart — bold Molly, sweet Dottie, or spirited Miss Kitt — one thing’s for sure: you’ll be getting a forever friend who’s loyal, loving, and full of puppy joy. 💕

Each of these girls is ready to find her perfect match and start her next great adventure — could that be with you?

A Note from the Foster: Hello! I'm Ducky! Foster Mom likes to call me Duck, Duck Dog, Heyyyyy Duck, Rubber Duck and (my favorite) Duck Duck Goose. I came to stay at her house when some nice people picked me up "Out of the Cold" and brought me here.

I LOVE being an indoor dog and I adapted really quickly to being a "very good girl!" I'm about 12 weeks old so I am still a pup but - I potty outside and sleep in my kennel without any fuss! I have moments where I run so SO so fast to outrun my sister but I really like playing fetch. Chewing on bones and being a couch potato are some of my best skills. Foster mom says I am so silly its almost like I am telling her jokes! Whatever that means.

My foster mom has to remind me to focus sometimes when I get distracted outside using the potty. But she tells me that my sweet face and doggie smile make her melt. Yep, I get so happy that I grin sometimes.

Life's "Ducky" with me. I'd love to meet you!! Quack quack!

She is very friendly, and gentle and has loved everyone she’s met. She does get nervous easily with new experiences and always wants to be loved by her people when she gets nervous.

They were able to secure a foster family and made it to rescue! They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hazel is beyond special- her intuition is that of a wise soul in a puppies body. She captured our hearts immediately as she looked at us with her deep dark eyes. She initiated friendly play with our resident, 9 year old lab, and they share the same spirit of curiosity and exploration. She loves our lab for play but when it comes time to wind down, a human lap is her choice. She loves belly rubs and scratches under her chin. If you stop she will softly wine as though to tell you she would love more.
She usually sleeps through the night and if she needs to get up, she uses her potty pad and goes back to bed. She is doing great with potty training - we let her out often and she knows just what to do!
If you are looking for an intelligent and loyal puppy, Hazel is for you!

Hi! I'm Miss Kitt, the playful firecracker of the family! I've got lots of energy and love to stir up a little fun with my sisters - someone's got to keep things interesting, right?

Even though I'm full of life and love a good play session, I also have a super sweet side. I absolutely adore my foster mom (the human one, of course!) and love to follow her around just to be near her.

I'm already doing great with my potty training - pretty impressive for a pup my age! But I should not gloat because my sisters are doing pretty  good too! And when things get noisy and wild around me, I can still curl up and nap right through the chaos.

If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, and lively little companion who can bring joy and laughter to your home, I'd love to be your girl!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! I'm Lainey! Foster mom calls me that after someone named Lainey Wilson. So sometimes she calls me Laineyyyyy Wilson (in a sing songy voice). I do like the songs she plays me. I even listen. I came to stay at her house when some nice people picked me up "Out of the Cold" and brought me here.

When I got to rescue I had a pretty bad cold and a hurt eye but Foster mom and the vets took really good care of it and I am doing SO much better. Foster mom says I'm going to be beautiful my whole life. My ears are fluffy and my coat is very soft.

I LOVE being an indoor dog and I adapted really quickly to being a "very good girl!" I'm about 12 weeks old so I am still a pup but - I potty outside and sleep in my kennel without any fuss! Wait til you see how good I am!!

I am pretty quiet most of the time. I like to sit near my favorite people and cuddle. I lay on the floor by feet or on the couch when I'm allowed. Foster mom rubs my soft spotted belly and I LOVE it! I don't do things most puppies do like bark, whine, nip or look for things to chew or be naughty. I am so good that my human Foster brother thinks I am an old dog. Maybe I have an old soul but I am still a puppy! Once in a while I let loose and run and wrestle.

I can't WAIT to meet my forever family and love them so so so much!

Leighton

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

A Note from the Foster: Introducing Leighton, a stunning young Shepherd mix.

She is a stoic soul — loyal, intelligent, and confident. She has a noble way about her, with a watchful eye and stealthy quick reflexes. Yet beneath that regal exterior is a playful pup: she delights in collecting leaves during her outdoor adventures, she un-stuffs her stuffies in record time, and she enjoys spirited wrestling matches with her human brother and sister. When she’s ready to rest, she melts into her people’s arms for long, contented belly rubs. Emphasis on the belly, which she has a lot of!

Wise beyond her weeks, Leighton is quickly learning the rhythms of good manners. She’s moving past puppy nibbles and piddles, showing every sign of growing into a calm, well-balanced companion. Smart and eager to please, she’ll thrive with an owner who can offer consistency, gentle guidance, and a touch of structure to match her loyal heart.

At times, this royal She can be a bit demanding. Despite her petite size and fur as soft as silk, she has a big girl bark that commands attention. She possesses the spirited confidence of a young monarch—bold, opinionated, and entirely aware of her own importance. Already matching her mother in size at just 12 weeks, it’s clear her lineage includes a noble giant — she may be soft, snuggly, and pocket-sized now, but she will likely grow into a queen-sized companion. With time, patience and a leader who can match her, she is well on her way to becoming a truly regal beagle.

💛 Leighton’s ideal home:

    •    A calm, loving household that values patience, structure, and affection — with lots of appropriate toys to gnaw on!

    •    A person or family who appreciates her intelligence and steady spirit (she’s learning to play gently with children and does well with the foster family's school-aged kiddos, but younger children would need more supervision)

    •    Someone ready to offer consistent training, kind leadership, and plenty of outdoor adventures (leaf collecting encouraged!)

    •    Experience with the shepherd breed would be helpful, but not required. Please read up on this breed which can be a wonderful, loyal family pet, but does require more consistent, long-term training and socialization. This sweet girl is well worth it!

If you’re looking for a puppy with regal grace, soulful eyes, and a heart as golden as her name, She is ready to take her place by your side — and reign lovingly over your home. ❤️

Lilo

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Husky Mix
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

A Note from the Foster: This little girl has completely stolen my heart. She is such a sweet, spunky, soft, cuddly ball of energy, and truly an angel in the house. She has zero bad habits: she doesn’t chew on anything she shouldn’t, doesn’t get into the garbage, and she’s not much of a beggar. She just wants to play, cuddle, and be near her people.

Her only challenge is that she’s still learning to read puppy cues. She plays hard and doesn’t always realize when smaller pups have had enough. I currently have three other little ones, and she thinks they’re her personal tug toys. She’s not aggressive—just enthusiastic—and she does wonderful with bigger or more confident dogs who will teach her appropriate boundaries. Because of this, her next foster home should not have small dogs or puppies. A younger, playful larger dog would be perfect for her.

A little about Lilo:

16 lbs, ~4 months old

Husky mix (likely with heeler based on her brother)

Spayed & adoption-ready

Kennel trained

Potty training in progress: she knows to go outside, potties about every 30–45 min when awake, and uses a potty pad about 90% of the time if I miss a break

Great with bigger dogs

Kids & Cats:
She has not been around kids or cats.

I don’t anticipate issues with kids—she isn’t jumpy, mouthy, or overly rough with people.

A Note from the Foster: 🎾 Three Foster Puppies That Are a League of Their Own! 🐾

Step right up and meet the all-star sister trio who are stealing hearts everywhere — Molly (aka Maybelle), Dottie, and Miss Kitt!

These three adorable pups may share the same family, but each one brings her own unique spark to the team. From confident leader to gentle snuggler to playful firecracker, they’ve got every personality covered — and together, they make the perfect lineup of love, fun, and puppy charm

Meet Molly (aka Maybelle)!

Hey there! I'm Molly, but you can call me Maybelle

- the confident leader of our sister trio! I'm bold, curious, and always ready for a new adventure.

When it's mealtime, I don't waste a second - I like to finish my food quickly so I can get back to playing!

I'm fearless when it comes to my foster dog brother - I love to play with him, "talk" to him, and make sure he knows I'm in charge (in the most adorable way, of course).

I adore my human foster sister, too. When she's not around, I miss her terribly - but when she walks through the door, I can't help but wiggle, bounce, and cover her in puppy kisses!

If you're looking for a brave, playful pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, I just might be the one for you!!

UPDATE!

I have learned to sit

I’m very good at walking on leash, my foster mom is super impressed

I now go sit by the door to let my foster mom know I need to go outside to go potty!

Breed: Mini Aussie
Age: DOB: 06/2025
Dog Friendly: Would do best as only dog
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Older or No Kids Ideal
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Paisleigh is a beautiful girl who is looking for a second chance. She is shy and timid at first and will thrive in a confident and patient family to help her with her confidence and trust building!

A Note from the Foster: Paisleigh is a spunky, smart and playful 6 month old puppy.  She arrived at Coco’s recently from a breeder release and is a tiny adorable bundle of love.  We have been calling her Penelope or Ms. Penny.

Paisleigh is not house broken yet,  but has some tells that help me know when she needs to go outside.   We go outside regularly throughout the day but with the recent snow and her diminutive size, potty training is going slowly.  She does keep her crate clean during the day when I need to use it.   She is pretty independent and has let our resident dog know that she is the boss.  Paisleigh sleeps soundly all night, in our room, snuggled under the covers.  She likes her crate and would do well in there at night too. She will bark occasionally if startled or if our resident dog is barking at the UPS driver.  But it is not loud or persistent by any means.  She doesn’t seem to know how to play yet, so we are working on that too.  All she really wants right now is to be held and snuggled and assured that she is safe.

Paisleigh loves  people but is a bit bossy with our resident dog so I think she would do well in a home without other animals.  Overall, she would probably be an easy fit in most homes if you are ready for, and interested in, a puppy.  She’s simply adorable!

A Note from the Foster: Paisley is adorable and super friendly! Her playful energy and boundless curiosity are so fun to see. Sheentered her foster home like she had always lived here. She loves meeting new people and other dogs. There is an older golden retriever in the home she is learning the best skills from and another puppy that keeps her exercised and entertained.

She is walking good on a leash with a lot of stops to sniff and explore. She enjoys playing in the yard and is learning to come when called. She will sit nice for a treat. She is very playful but also loves cuddling.

Paisley is working on potty training with regular outdoor time. She loves to chew so she needs to be redirected with toys. She is doing really well in her crate.

Paisley is so smart, with a little more training, she will be the best little girl!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! I’m Pickles, an affectionate, adventurous and curious girl that loves almost everything. Dogs, cats, kids, bones, walking on a leash, car rides, naps, bath time, keeping my kennel clean and sleeping through the night. Things I’m getting used to- the vacuum and the school bus (TOO LOUD). I’m silly, with a great nose for random socks, so don’t leave those around or I’ll carry them until you bribe me with something else. :)

I can’t wait to meet you!

She definitely still loves her playtime, don't get me wrong, but also loves a good snuggle when she is tired. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate overnight for about 8 hours. History: We received an urgent plea to help a momma dog with her 9 newborn pups in a rural impound where they were living on the cold concrete. They were able to secure a foster family and made it to rescue! They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: HI! My name is Poppy !! So far my life has been a little bit of a series of adventures - my 8 littermates and I were found out in the cold, and a Good Samaritan brought us to shelter.  I have to admit - it was a little scary and cold but at least we were safe.  Then there was a super long drive, and we ended up with my first foster mama.  Boy, were we ever lucky.  She did everything she could to make sure we were healthy, loved, and safe.  I miss her - especially because I KNOW I was her favorite based on our long cuddle sessions and what she whispered to me. I got wet from her tears on my last day.

I am on another adventure now with 2 of my siblings in a new foster home.  It took me a few days to decide that I could love this new foster mama too - and now she whispers sweet things like:

Poppy, you are perfect.

Poppy, you are SUCH a beautiful girl.

Poppy, ohhh you are too sweet.

Poppy, I promise I will find you a family that deserves you.

The other thing she will tell me is "GO GET WALKER" which is this BIG German shepherd that is a really super fun Babysitter.

I don't like to make foster mama mad so if she tells me a stern no - I don't do it again. Like - her fingers, toes and chin are NOT for biting despite they look like they should be. She also says we can only go in our designated potty spot inside our puppy pen - so that's the only place I go if I have to.  She does take us out every 2 hrs to play /potty and I LOVE it.  I was clearly born in the cold because I can tough it out longer than my siblings can.

But I am ready to stop wandering and put an end to my home adventures. I would love, love, love to find the family that will be mine for the rest of my life.  I may take a day or two to warm up to you, but once I do - I promise my love for you will be forever.

(As of 12/5 Poppy is 11 weeks old and 19 lbs. Mama Willow is roughly 45 lbs so expect Poppy to be bigger than Mama).

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Pumpkin, and it’s not just because of my color, I’m also as sweet as pumpkin pie!

I’m a little shy at first. I’m still learning that humans are here to give me love, and I haven’t met one yet who doesn’t make my tail wag! It doesn’t take long for me to warm up and trust you and I’ll be your shadow.

I am learning all of these new things about living in a home with a family! I have been sleeping in my crate all night with no complaints or messes. During the day if my foster family leaves I go into the kennel as well, although I do have a few things to say about that if I hear you still in the house, I settle down quickly. Practice makes perfect right?!

A few other things I’ve been doing are learning to walk on a leash and go potty outside. I’m picking these up quickly! I’m currently living with kids and another dog, I tend to be the submissive type, but I crave attention from both hoomans and fur-friends! Once I get used to this kind of positive attention, I am going to continue to thrive! My playful puppy side is already starting to shine!

Could you be the family that gets to enjoy my full potential?! After all, Tis’ the season, get yourself some pumpkin flavored puppy love!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi all my name is Ro, but my fosters call me Roro! I have been having a great time with my foster family! They have a lot of resident dogs and I love it! I think it would be great to have a medium to low energy dog in my future home. I love to play with other dogs and when I get tired, I love to find a nice dog to cuddle with! So far, I haven't shown much interest in toys other than to cuddle them, I would much rather wrestle another dog when I play. I have been learning how to read other dogs body language to know if they want to play with me or not!

My foster parents say I'm doing well in training. I keep my area clean throughout the day and night when I am alone! Potty training is going well for me! My fosters have a doggie door and I will go in and out when I have to potty....if its light outside. When it is dark I get a little scared and need to have my foster parents with me. I have been doing well in learning what is and isn't ok to chew on! So far, I have learned that cords are bad and will make my fosters come running, foster parents noses are also a no no! I am doing well with simple redirection to a chew toy! Kennel training hasn't been my favorite. I tend to scream at first but after a few minutes I pass out.

When training my fosters find I am more motivated by affection then food. If I'm not hungry I couldn't care less about treats. I am starting to learn about leashes and so far I'm not a not a fan of them, but they are fun to chew on and try to play tug with.

Most of the time I prefer to graze on food throughout the day because I never know when I'm going to be hungry!

So, if you are looking to adopt a cuddle motivated puppy that will love your resident dogs as much as you do, I'm your gal, and you should send in an application for me!

History: We received a plea to help an absolutely precious litter of puppies who found themselves living on the cold concrete of a rural impound and needed a second chance. They are stunning pups who hope to find their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hello, it’s me Rookie!

I am 8 weeks old, weighing 9.6 lbs.

Foster mommy says I am fluff ball of cuteness!

I am a package of silly and snuggles! I am a social girl who loves people!

At my foster home, I am having so much fun playing with my siblings.

I LOVE the doggie toys and cozy spots to sleep.

I am working on-going potty outside.

I sleep in my kennel all night and for naps during the day.

I am a very young puppy so I will need someone who can be home with me for potty breaks during the day.

It will also be important for my socialization and training a puppy needs at an early age.

Come get me soon my forever family!!

Love  ~ Rookie

History: I am Astrid’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Momma Astrid arrived to rescue expecting a litter of puppies after landing herself at a rural impound in North Dakota. She arrived just in time to settle into her foster home before her pups came and they have all been doing well! They are now each officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever home of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Rue is the sweetest, fluffiest girl around!

She loves to play with toys and has some truly adorable sass in her. She is also the cuddliest little love bug! She is smart, patient, and sits down politely to be picked up.

She is a favorite around these parts, and when she melts into your arms you can’t resist her love!

A Note from the Foster: Skye is currently12 pounds  of joy, love and happiness.  She is basically potty trained if you pay attention and let her out every couple hours. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in our room (door shut in case she would roam) and keeps her kennel clean while I'm at work if it's not more than 4-5 hours.  She's just too little to go much longer without a break.

She loves playing with toys - especially squeaky ones! Other favorite pastimes are hanging out in the kitchen hoping something will drop, trying to get the senior resident dog to play and watching the world intently while hanging around outside.

She loves all people and has been great with all dogs.  No exposure to cats yet, but with her size and personality I think it would be ok.

This little one is a fantastic lap dog, enjoys snuggling up and giving kisses. Great with kids and other dogs, or simply on her own. She is fabulous in her kennel overnight and for nap time. Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Tova is a young, energetic little pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s currently in a loving foster home, soaking up attention, learning new things, and proving every day what a bright and affectionate girl she is.

Tova loves to be around her humans. Wherever her foster family goes, she wants to tag along or be carried along. She also enjoys spending time with her dog buddies. She loves to wrestle with her littermate and her 40-pound foster sister. Tova is a brave little girl who enjoys being around others. Like many puppies, she’s still teething and needs reminders not to chew on pant legs or shoes—especially when you’re walking, because she’s sure that means it’s playtime.

Tova gets chilly outside, so her foster mom keeps her bundled up in a little sweater. It's both practical and ridiculously cute.

When it comes to potty training, Tova is off to a great start. While she’s not fully trained throughout the home yet, she consistently uses the designated potty area and pee pads in her playpen. With maturity, consistency, and more freedom as she grows, she should be very trainable.

Her foster mom suspects she may be a shepherd–husky–doberman–bully mix (she does adorable tiny howls!), but whatever her breed blend, she’s all charm and sweetness.

Tova currently lives with two young children who adore carrying her around. She enjoys the attention, but because she can get mouthy and might try to nibble on hair or socks, dog-savvy kids who understand puppy behavior would be the best fit.

At night, Tova happily curls up with her sibling in a fuzzy blanket, ready to recharge for another day of play, cuddles, and following her people around.

If you’re looking for a loving, people-oriented puppy who wants nothing more than to be part of your daily life, Tova might be your perfect match. Apply to meet her today! 🐾💗

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Yes
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi there! My name is Victoria, but you can call me Vicki, V, or “that adorable blur dashing across the living room.” I’m a 12-week-old heeler mix with supermodel good looks, silky soft fur, and a tail that never stops wagging!

Let me tell you a little about myself: I LOVE to play—stuffies, tug-of-war, you name it! I’m a fast learner, too (especially if snacks are involved). I already know how to sit and I’m working hard on my stay, fetch, and roll over games. My foster mom says I’m rocking both leash and potty training—I even keep my crate clean and am peaceful all night long (dreaming of toys and adventures, of course).

And did I mention belly rubs? They are my absolute FAVORITE! I’ll flop over and show my belly to anyone with gentle hands and a little love to spare.

I have a bestie here, an 8-year-old mini poodle, and I think she’s amazing! I try to copy everything she does (sometimes she gives me that “puppy, please chill” look, but I can’t help my zoomies). When we’re tuckered out, I love a good snuggle and nap.

While I don’t live with cats, I met some nice kitties at the groomer while getting my hair done, and we got along just fine. I was polite and curious—no puppy drama, just good vibes all around!

I’m looking for a forever family that will cheer me on as I learn, toss my favorite toys, teach me more tricks, and give the best belly scratches ever. Are you ready for puppy kisses, silly antics, and lots of love? Maybe we’re meant to be! 💚

If you’d like to meet me, go ahead and fill out an adoption application. I’ll be waiting to roll over and greet you with my cutest head tilt!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Willow!
Willow is a four-month-old shepherd mix with stunning coloring and an even sweeter personality. She’s a gentle, social girl who loves everyone she meets — men, kids, dogs, and even cats. She’s the kind of puppy who fits right in wherever she goes.

At night, Willow sleeps wonderfully in her crate without a peep. During the day she’d much prefer to be out and about with her people instead of hanging out in the crate — she’s a curious pup who doesn’t want to miss a thing.

Willow is also a bit of a grazer when it comes to food and isn’t particularly food-motivated (a unique trait for a puppy!). She’s doing well with potty training, though like many young pups, she can get caught up in playtime and forget to head for the door in time. She’s learning quickly with consistency and gentle reminders.

Willow is affectionate, friendly, beautiful, and eager to be part of a family. She’ll thrive in a home that gives her structure, playtime, and lots of love — and she’ll give all of that right back.

If you’re looking for a sweet, social, gorgeous puppy to grow with your family, Willow may be the perfect match.
