Female Puppies

Alani

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: She is getting used to going to the door when she needs to go potty, yay! She loves to play and has taken a shine to a tug of war rope we got her. She is pretty well behaved besides her puppy crazy puppy times. She likes to chew so we have gotten her crinkly toys and those sorts of things besides the chew bones (not much interest on the chew bones often, more toy oriented) she like slippers so keep those away! She will curl up at your feet (wherever you are) for nap time. She is still learning to walk on a leash, but she doesnt pull, just doesnt walk straight 🤪

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Bailey

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Bailey, (Bailey, Bailey!) a fun-loving, playful pup who brings a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. She’s soft and cute, yes (!) but she’s also got a wild, goofy side and is always ready for her next adventure. Field trips are her favorite, whether that’s cruising around town or heading out to explore something new. She rides great in the car and makes an excellent co-pilot.

She enjoys meeting new people and happily soaks up attention. Little kids still make her a bit unsure, so she’d do best in a home with adults or older kids who can respect her space while she builds confidence. When it comes to dogs, she loves playing with all the dogs she’s met and definitely with her foster sister. Bailey would thrive with a canine buddy or an active household that can keep up with her energy.

She’s also already nailed one important skill: she’s fantastic at sitting, especially when treats are involved.

This sweet girl does have megaesophagus, a well-managed condition that doesn’t slow her down or stop her from living a happy, full life. It simply means she eats her meals in a special high chair to help her swallow safely which, honestly, is ridiculously adorable. Her routine is established, pretty easy to manage, and she handles it like a champ.

If you’re looking for a pup who’s cute, adventurous, a little chaotic, and endlessly lovable—with a built-in dinner-time photo op—this girl might be your perfect match 🐾💗

Blanche

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Howdy y'all, my name's Blanche, but I prefer to consider myself "Man's Best Friend". I arrived with my friends Sophia, Dorothy and Rose and have been living with Sophia in my foster home. My average day consists of playing, napping, cuddling and eating (unfortunately NOT cheesecake, but a girl can dream).

I am a young puppy with big bursts of energy and lots of cuddles and kisses to give out. I've been growing quickly and am learning all sorts of new things. The toys here are so fun and I sure have a great time playing with Sophia and the big resident dog - the smaller ones are a bit annoyed by me, so I just stay away from them.

I'm doing an amazing job potty-training! I go outside as soon as I wake up and then my foster mom has me on a pretty strict timer. Sophia and I have only had a handful of accidents combined since arriving - the best part about going outside lots is the TREATS! I also don't mind the snow and cold too much, but I bet warm sunshine on a lanai would be even better!

I sleep in my kennel and keep it nice and clean. I don't mind my crate too much. Sometimes I fuss and pout a bit, but then I settle in and go to sleep. I've slept through the night once or twice (about 6.5 hours). I usually need to get up to use the ladies room in the night once or twice. My foster mom takes me out and then I go back in my crate and go back to bed pretty quickly.

The most important thing for me right now is to stay on my consistent schedule! This helps me understand what is expected of me and makes learning all the new things a dog needs to know easier.

I'd love nothing more than to be your new best friend. I'll even travel down the road and back again with you (with a leash of course). I promise...my heart is true. I'm a pal and a confidant.

Love, your most beautiful Golden Girl Blanche

She loves to play with her siblings before quietly sneaking off to curl up in your lap. Celine

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Yes

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster:

Tiny, loyal, and already house-trained. I’ll protect your heart and your doorway.

About Me:

Hi, I’m Celine, your future ride-or-die with four paws and a whole lot of personality. At just four months old, I’m already sleeping through the night, potty trained, and learning tricks like “sit” and “lay down” (because I’m gifted, obviously). I’ve got opinions, I’ve got cuddles, and I’ve got some serious shadow energy. If you move, I move. Simple as that.

What I bring to the table:

Crate-trained.  I settle in calmly when you leave the house

Potty-trained and sleep-trained

Loves walks. I’ve learned from my foster sisters how to stay close, not pull, and keep pace like a polite little pro

Fast learner. I pick things up quickly and actually enjoy being taught new things

Cuddle connoisseur. I prefer to sleep in your bed or close by, especially if there are other dogs around

Tiny but mighty protector. I’ll alert you if someone unexpected shows up (even if it’s your niece at the doorway at 2 a.m.)

I love fetch, solo or with friends,  and will proudly parade my ball like it’s a treasure

Take correction well from both dogs and humans… though I might talk back just a little before I follow through

Playful with other dogs, still building confidence with bigger ones

Loyal, expressive, and always by your side

Looking for:

Someone who sees the beauty in a smart, sensitive pup with a little sass and a lot of heart. I want to be your best friend, your walking buddy, your personal home security system, and your cuddle partner all rolled into one. If you believe dogs belong on the bed and in your life full-time, I think we might be meant for each other.

Let’s start out forever. I’ll even let you pick the first movie, as long as we can cuddle.

Love,

Celine — Petite Guard Dog. Big Spoon. Full-Time Best Friend.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! They call me Ducky. I'm a VERY good girl. I sleep peacefully in my kennel all night. I follow basic commands. I always potty outside. I love to snuggle on the couch but I also love chasing the tennis ball. I love human kids, other doggos, and the cats at my foster home. My coat is silky smooth and my ears are SO soft. My long lashes, cowlick on my neck, and my floppy ears are everyone's favorite things about my look.

I am such a good girl and well mannered that when they take me to puppy showcases people can't believe I'm still a puppy. Maybe thats why they have overlooked me?! Foster mom says that I'm amazing and perfect in every way and my family is going to find me soon. She doesn't understand why black dogs are overlooked and how no one has seen what a gem I am yet.

Do you think I could join your family? I promise to be the best dog ever.

Love, 🐤 Ducky 🦆

Breed: Heeler Mix
Age: DOB: 12/10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Too Young!

History: I am Mayzee’s puppy and was born in rescue!

A beautiful stocky heeler mix named Mayzee arrived to rescue when she was found as a pregnant stray in a very rural area where she was fending for herself with another dog. She arrived to rescue very scared and uncertain of people around her. She had her litter of puppies and her journey with her puppies in rescue have been unique to work towards gaining her trust while helping her with her confidence.

Her puppies are doing well however and are each ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

Heeler and heeler mix dogs are a working dog breed and would thrive best in an active household that is excited to provide lots of physical exercise and go through training. These dogs are very smart and love learning. They do best when they have a job to do and are generally not couch potatoes. They can also make great family pets as long as they are still given the appropriate outlets for their energy and drive. We recommend doing research on the Heeler aka Australian cattle dog breed prior to applying to adopt to ensure they are a good fit for your family.

Ellie

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed a litter of lab mix puppies from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and they arrived to rescue SO sweet, although a bit timid at first. They are settling in well and are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Ellie is a 4½-month-old scruffy lab/terrier mix with a constantly wagging tail and the sweetest, softest heart. She currently weighs about 21 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized adult (around 40–45 lbs).

Ellie may be a little shy at first, but she is making wonderful progress every day. She has started accepting and enjoying pets, and once she feels safe, her gentle, loving personality shines through. Her tail tells the story — it’s almost always wagging!

She is very interested in the other dogs in her foster home and would likely thrive with a friendly canine companion to help boost her confidence and show her how great being a dog can be. Ellie loves watching, learning, and quietly joining in. Another dog is not required as long as she continues to be socialized as she grows and learns!

Ellie would do best in a home that offers patience, kindness, and encouragement, where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. In return, she promises loyalty, sweetness, and the kind of love that grows deeper every day.

✨ Sweet, gentle, and blossoming — Ellie is ready for her forever family. ✨

A Note from the Foster:  Meet Enya, a petite husky mix pup from northern Minnesota with a big personality packed into a small, fluffy frame. Don’t let her size fool you—this girl can absolutely hold her own with her larger siblings and isn’t afraid to show a little spunk when the moment calls for it. History: I am Astrid’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Momma Astrid arrived to rescue expecting a litter of puppies after landing herself at a rural impound in North Dakota. She arrived just in time to settle into her foster home before her pups came and they have all been doing well! They are now each officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever home of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Glimmer is a true sweetheart!  She loves to snuggle and is pretty sure she’s still a lap dog (at 20+ pounds). She’ll play toys all day, and if she needs a little rest, she’ll bring them in your lap to chew on them. Speaking of chewing, she has always shown amazing bite inhibition with humans.  Sometimes I’ll test it while she’s chewing a toy…it’s pretty near bulletproof.

Glimmer does well on a leash. So far she needs pretty minimal exercise (a half mile walk per day plus lots of running and playing around the house seems good).  Glimmer doesn’t love the cold and snow, so she usually just goes potty outside (which she’s getting very good at) and then comes back into the warm house.

She’s been sleeping well in her crate but still needs a potty break somewhere in the middle of the night.  We are also working on potty training during the day.

Glimmer has been working on some new tricks. She’s very good at “sit” and “stay” and is starting to learn “down”  too!  She is responsive and very smart, making training sessions super fun.

Glimmer does great with our resident dog and cat. She is very patient and respectful. She loves to play with them but gives them space when they ask for it.  Unfortunately our resident dog is hit or miss in terms of allowing Glimmer in her personal bubble, but I do think Glimmer would thrive with another friendly, confident dog around.

Glimmer has met kids of all ages, and she’s been very gentle and patient with her toddler friends.

One little quirk about Glimmer is that she’s a bit sensitive. Even as a very young pup, when all her siblings got crazy and wrestled, she preferred to retreat into one of our laps and rest.  Sometimes she gets nervous about new things or lots of commotion.  She’ll get the shivers and then try to curl up in our laps.  It’s very endearing, but we are focused on socializing her and trying to make sure that her new experiences are positive and successful.  This will be something for her to keep working on in her new home.

Glimmer’s mama and siblings have all gone to a new home, and she is still patiently waiting.  Perhaps people are scared off by those beautiful tiger stripes, but she is all pup!  If you’re looking for a sweet, lovable, gentle, and silly companion, Glimmer’s your girl!

She can be timid with people at first but wiggles her butt so much showing that she wants attention even if she needs a minute to warm up! She is learning to be content in her kennel by hanging out there during the day and at night. Sometimes she whines or lets out a little howl but eventually settles. Potty training is going well with occasional accidents of not let out enough. Cat friendliness is unknown, due to her your age she will likely be trainable to co-exist. She is curious about babies. She doesn't quite understand why they are so small and babbly, but she can relax around them.

History: Jessa is a stunning petite lab mix who went unclaimed at a local impound and arrived to rescue seeking a second chance. She is beyond adorable and has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hello,

My name is Jessa, though my foster family calls me Jess. I am a puppy full of love and life, and I am looking for my forever home.

I get along great with everyone; I am cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and dog-friendly. I currently love playing with my 80-pound foster brother, but I would be a great sibling to a dog of any size. I also find comfort in cuddling with the cats in my foster home.

My foster mom says I have a lot of energy. I love to chase balls, chew on bones, and occasionally "borrow" the toddler’s toys. It is all in good puppy fun, though I sometimes nip at pant legs or fingers when I am excited. A quick toy distraction usually does the trick! Once I have burned off my energy, I love to cuddle and will happily sit in your lap all day while you work.

I am currently making progress with my potty training. I stay quiet all night in my puppy pen, and my foster family is about to begin transitioning me to a kennel.

I think I would thrive in a home with children or other pets. I am so looking forward to meeting my forever family!

Best,

Jessa (Jess)

History: Kinsley is a beautiful mixed breed girl who was locally surrendered to rescue when her family was turned away by 3 other local shelters. Her family tried so hard to do right by her and surrendered her to rescue ultimately. Kinsley is a great girl who deserves the world!

A Note from the Foster: Kinsley is an A+ girl.. She is sweet as can be. Takes a little time to learn to trust you but things have changed a lot recently for her so we give her grace and meet her where she is. She knows sit, lay down, and shake. A Note from the Foster: 🌟 Meet Your New Best Friend! 🌟

Say hello to this sweet little girl who is just beginning to discover what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family. She’s a bit shy at first, but once she realizes you’re kind, her whole face lights up. She absolutely adores people—especially kids—and she’s the type of pup who melts right into you the moment she feels comfortable.

💛 What Makes Her Special

Loves people and children: She thrives around kind humans and blossoms with attention.

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female

Breed: Boxer Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age

House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Mayla is a sweet, sensitive dog who is still learning to feel comfortable in new situations. She can be quite shy when first meeting new people and tends to do best when given time, space, and a calm approach to build trust. Once she feels safe, her personality slowly comes through.

She enjoys playing with our resident dog and would love a home with an older dog to help with her confidence. She also keeps busy with her bones and stuffed toys.

She can be vocal at times, particularly when she’s excited, unsure, or trying to communicate her needs. She sleeps well in her kennel in our room but let’s us know when she’s ready to get up.

Potty training is still a work in progress. She does well when taken outside, but isn’t a big fan of the frigid cold and is still having occasional accidents indoors. With consistency and patience, she continues to make progress.

Because of her sensitivity, she would likely do best in a patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.

History: I am Maia’s puppy!

Momma Maia is a beautiful medium size shepherd mix who needed help just prior to our Out of the Cold Rescue effort in rural North Dakota. She has been a wonderful momma and her and her pups are now officially ready to start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Melina.

I’m the sweetest pup who absolutely loves people, stuffies, and gnawing on my favorite bones. I play hard with my foster brother, then crash on the couch. At night, my favorite thing is snuggling with my foster parents.

I’m still pretty young, so I’m working on my potty training. I’m doing well in my crate overnight and can currently go about 7 hours before needing to go outside. I also do great riding in the car and travel well for outings and adventures. While there aren’t kids in my foster home, I’ve done great at adoption events and had no problem with kids petting me. I love the attention!

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup who’s learning the ropes and ready to be your new best friend, I might be your girl.

Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed a litter of lab mix puppies from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and they arrived to rescue SO sweet, although a bit timid at first. They are settling in well and are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Say hello to Millie, our sweet new foster pup who made the journey all the way from Arkansas to Wisconsin—and is loving the freezing cold like she was born here! ❄️

Millie is about 5 months old and would be part of our Foster to Adopt program. She has the most unique, gorgeous coat—primarily black with a soft dusting of brown and white and the cutest bright white toes that really pop. Her fur is incredibly soft with a slight wave, and we suspect there’s a little oodle mixed in there somewhere… especially since she doesn’t seem to shed at all. ✨

Her personality is just as special as her looks. Millie makes the cutest little sounds when you pet her, wiggles with excitement when you talk to her, and has the sweetest, happiest disposition. She’s playful and fun, but also gentle and affectionate—truly the kind of pup that melts right into your heart.

She’s gaining confidence every day and doing excellent with potty training, with only a few accidents as we learn her cues. She keeps her kennel clean overnight and settles in beautifully, which tells us she’s a smart girl who wants to please.

Millie is going to make an incredible companion—loving, joyful, and full of personality. We’re so excited to watch her continue to blossom and can’t wait to see her find the perfect family to call her own 💛

We love to eat snowballs and chase each other, but I’m a little too slow to catch them. They have been teaching me a lot of stuff and I love to steal their toys.

I can be shy, but once I warm up to you, I love to cuddle. I’m can be a little sassy and love to talk to you, but don’t worry, I know my place. I sleep all night quietly in my kennel and have been working hard on my potty training. I learn very quickly because I’m very smart!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Oceane, the happiest little brindle beauty you’ll ever meet! This 8‑week‑old shepherd-mixed-breed pup has a heart as big as her puppy paws. Oceane adores everyone in her foster home - kids, older dogs and has yet to meet the cat. She’s playful, curious, and learning her manners quickly (treats help a lot). She is more on the submissive side and a little timid. We're allowing her some time to still settle into foster life and for her personality to blossom.

Oceane’s ideal day involves a romp in the yard (if its not too cold), a few squeaky toys, and plenty of cuddles on the couch. We are working on crate-training and she is doing very well. Barely any whining and gets her meals in her kennel. We are also working on house training and to sit for snacks. She is very smart and has begun to go potty outside, keeping to one little area. With her loving nature and big brown eyes, Oceane is ready to bring lots of cuddles, love, laughter, and endless tail wags to her forever family.

If you’re looking for a best friend who will grow up by your side, Oceane’s your little lady! Come meet her today and see why everyone falls in love at first sight.

A Note from the Foster: These Astra pups are ready to blast off with your heart! Momma Astra had an amazing litter of 9 that is now getting old enough to be out on their own. This sweet, energetic litter is full of playful personalities and endless love. They adore romping around with their siblings, chasing toys, and soaking up every bit of attention they can get. After playtime, they’re just as happy to curl up for cuddles and give plenty of puppy kisses.

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed an adorable litter of lab mix puppies from a rural overcrowded shelter. They are SO unique and sweet in their own individual ways. They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Pooka 💕

Pookie is a sweet little lab mix girl who is still very much in that baby stage of life—and it’s honestly the best part. If you’re looking for puppy breath, tiny snores, and lots of nap-time snuggles, she’s your girl.

Despite being so little, Pookie is already doing amazing with potty training. Even in 0-degree weather, she’s been pooping and peeing outside in record time. Of course, because she’s still a baby, an accident or two may happen along the way—but she’s showing incredible awareness that when we go outside, it’s time to potty.

Pookie loves chewing on her toys, playing with the other dogs, and being around kids. She’s curious, playful, and full of puppy joy. She is a bit mouthy, but that’s completely normal for her age, and she’ll thrive with continued guidance, structure, and good leadership. We’ll keep working with her while she’s with us to help set her up for success.

If you’re ready to welcome a cuddly, playful, still-learning baby puppy into your home, Pookie is going to steal your heart. 🐾💗

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

Momma Chai arrived to rescue with her 5 adorable little kiddos and have been doing well in rescue. They are now officially ready to each find forever home of their very own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi friends!! I’m Poppy. I’m the sweetest girl, at least that’s what my foster mom tells me.

I came from Out of the Cold with my mom and siblings. I am happiest when I am playing with a toy or near my humans, and I LOVE to give kisses.

I have picked up potty training SO early and am doing super well! My foster parents are very impressed with me, because I am learning to run to the door already when I have to potty. I’m still learning to love my kennel, because it’s lonely, but I am working really hard!

I adore the big black lab that lives at my house, and love to play with him and follow him around. I’d love to have a sibling at my forever home, but I love my humans most of all, so it isn’t required. There is also a kitty that lives with me, and I want to be best friends with him. He isn’t the biggest fan of me, but I love him oh so much! I usually stay about a foot away from him and try to get him to play, if he’s up for it.

Are you my forever family? I can’t wait to come home!!

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Are you looking for a loyal companion in all of your daily activities?  Shadow is ready to report for duty! This sweet girl wants nothing more than to keep you company no matter what you're doing!  Walking around tidying up?  She'll trot along behind you until everything is done.  Sitting at a desk/table to get some work done?  She'll curl up under your chair, or even better, on a blanket by your feet.  Relaxing on the couch? She's ready to curl up in your lap, although at the rate she's growing, she won't fit for long!

She is a very calm puppy, often choosing snuggles over rowdy play.....unless a friendly dog is available for wrestling! She mostly sticks to bones and toys for chewing but she has shown playful interest in socks, shoelaces, and any snacks left unattended...who can blame a puppy?

The world can be a bit overwhelming for Shadow, so she would love a family who will continue exposing her to new sights and sounds and helping her find her bravery. She is great with kids of all ages, but lots of noise and activity can make her nervous. She is showing more confidence around new people, loud traffic noises, and navigating crazy things like snow and ice! She has also shown more spunk when she has an older dog to show her the ropes.

She is very smart and shows a lot of focus and motivation when learning basic commands or solving food puzzles.

She is working hard on potty training, but she is still not so sure about doing her business out in this cold.  She is a Texas girl after all!

She protests in her crate for a few minutes but then settles in for the night or for a few hours at a time during the work day.

Submit an application if you'd like this sweetie to be YOUR shadow!

We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Shirley, an adorable, sweet, laid back pup who is looking for a home with lots of snuggles and good treats! Shirley is completely crate trained - she sleeps all night without making a peep and keeps her crate clean. She even likes to hang out in there now and then. We are working on potty training, and are about 90% there. She occasionally has an accident, but every day gets better at going to the back door to let us know that she needs to go outside.

Shirley loves cozying up to and playing with her foster sister. She's happy to let the other dog be in charge as long as she gets attention too. She has a bit of puppy energy, but is mostly a calm and well-mannered girl. Like most puppies, she'll chew shoes or cords if you don't keep an eye on her, but she responds well to redirection.

Shirley came to Coco's Heart significantly underweight, but she is putting on pounds and now thriving! She's a hungry hippo (but being food motivated is key to easy puppy training!). She has no digestive issues or other special needs, but you do have to keep an eye on her as she will try to grab any food in sight.

Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Picture it.... Coco's Heart 2026. Meet Sophia! I arrived with my friends Blanche, Dorothy and Rose and have been living with Blanche in my foster home. My average day consists of playing, napping, cuddling and eating (unfortunately NOT cheesecake, but a girl can dream).

I am a young puppy with big bursts of energy and lots of cuddles and kisses to give out. I've been growing quickly and am learning all sorts of new things. The toys here are so fun and I sure have a great time playing with Blanche and the big resident dog - the smaller ones are a bit annoyed by me, so I just stay away from them.

I'm doing an amazing job potty-training! I go outside as soon as I wake up and then my foster mom has me on a pretty strict timer. Blanche and I have only had a handful of accidents combined since arriving - the best part about going outside lots is the TREATS!

Love, the Golden Girl with the wisdom, Sophia

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025

Kid Friendly: Yes

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Tova is a young, vibrant pup with a bold spirit, soulful eyes, and an overflowing heart just waiting to bond with her forever family. She’s been thriving in her foster home for ~6 weeks, and while she’s deeply loved there, she’s more than ready to stop sharing the limelight with her foster sibling and find a place to truly call her own.

Tova enjoys being part of the action and likes having company nearby, whether that’s her humans or her canine pals! She’s confident and curious, happy to tag along, lounge nearby, or jump in when it’s time for fun. Her adventurous side really shines during playtime. Tova isn’t afraid of her 40lb pittie foster sister. She will willingly wrestle her or follow her out in the cold, snow filled back yard!

She currently lives with two dogs, one small and one large and two little kids. So, it’s safe to say she is used to a bit of chaos. 🙃 Tova is working on potty training and will do her business outside when put on a schedule. She has also been using a designated potty area while sleeping in her exercise pen at night.

Tova is already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she’s fully ready to head home.

Puppies don’t stay small forever, and Tova has already changed so much while living in foster care. She deserves a family who will guide her, play with her, and grow alongside her.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, adventurous puppy with soulful eyes and a confident spark, Tova may be your perfect match.

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Uri 🐾 — an absolutely lovable beagle-mix puppy with lots of beagle charm!

Uri is a happy, gentle girl who’s a joy to be around. She loves lounging on the couch, playing with her toys, and happily bouncing around in the snow. In her foster home, she lives with two senior dog brothers and is wonderfully polite and respectful with them. She’s playful, sweet, and eager to please.

Uri is doing great with potty training and is a quick learner — especially when treats are involved! She’s already giving verbal cues when it’s time to go outside. She adores tummy rubs, cuddles, and being close to her people, and kids are ok too!

She’s still getting the hang of crate training and prefers the door open, but she’s comfortable resting inside for the evening and hasn’t had any accidents. Ideally, Uri would love to sleep near her humans — whether in her own dog bed or nearby.

Uri would thrive in a home with another dog and people who enjoy including her in daily life. She’s content to quietly relax in her bed while you work, cook, or go about your day. She’s patient, gentle, and not prone to mischief when left alone, making her a wonderful match even for first-time dog owners.

Affectionate, cheerful, and full of love, Uri is ready to find her forever home — could that be with you? 💛🐶

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Yes
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi there! My name is Victoria, but you can call me Vicki, V, or “that adorable blur dashing across the living room.” I’m a 12-week-old heeler mix with supermodel good looks, silky soft fur, and a tail that never stops wagging!

Let me tell you a little about myself: I LOVE to play—stuffies, tug-of-war, you name it! I’m a fast learner, too (especially if snacks are involved). I already know how to sit and I’m working hard on my stay, fetch, and roll over games. My foster mom says I’m rocking both leash and potty training—I even keep my crate clean and am peaceful all night long (dreaming of toys and adventures, of course).

And did I mention belly rubs? They are my absolute FAVORITE! I’ll flop over and show my belly to anyone with gentle hands and a little love to spare.

I have a bestie here, an 8-year-old mini poodle, and I think she’s amazing! I try to copy everything she does (sometimes she gives me that “puppy, please chill” look, but I can’t help my zoomies). When we’re tuckered out, I love a good snuggle and nap.

While I don’t live with cats, I met some nice kitties at the groomer while getting my hair done, and we got along just fine. I was polite and curious—no puppy drama, just good vibes all around!

I’m looking for a forever family that will cheer me on as I learn, toss my favorite toys, teach me more tricks, and give the best belly scratches ever. Are you ready for puppy kisses, silly antics, and lots of love? Maybe we’re meant to be! 💚

If you’d like to meet me, go ahead and fill out an adoption application. I’ll be waiting to roll over and greet you with my cutest head tilt!
