Age: Est DOB: 03/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Aly is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: more info to come

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $500-$1250 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Amira

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Pitbull Terrier Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2024
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Amira and Shoshana are two beautiful pitbull mix puppies who needed a second chance from an overcrowded rural shelter in Kansas. They are a bit timid at first but warm up so quickly and were smaller than we were expecting. They are super sweet who are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Looking for a dog with personality?  Meet Amira!  She’s spunky, playful, and full of energy, always ready to zoom around the yard or chase her favorite toy.

But don’t let the zoomies fool you—Amira is also a total snugglebug. After a day of play, she’s happiest curled up next to you, soaking up all the cuddles she can get.

Amira currently lives with two other dogs whom she loves to play with and a ten year old girl.  Amira gets really excited when children are around!

Amira is working hard on housebreaking.  She keeps her kennel clean all night and knows to go potty outside, but still has accidents inside. She sleeps quietly all night in her kennel.

Amira would thrive with an active family who can keep up with her joyful spirit and give her lots of love (and maybe a soft blanket or two).

Amity

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 02/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Amity is a bright, spunky 5-month-old pup who recently made her way up from Texas and is ready to find her forever home!

This smart girl is currently living with a 70-pound Catahoula mix and absolutely loves roughhousing and playtime—she can definitely hold her own! Amity is playful, curious, and full of that joyful puppy energy. She’s also highly treat-motivated and a quick learner, making training both fun and productive. With a consistent, positive approach, she’s already making big strides in learning how to be gentle with her mouth and body.

Amity truly wants to please and connect with her people. She's been great with school-aged kids and up, and while she hasn't had much experience with toddlers, her eagerness to learn makes her a great candidate for a home committed to ongoing training and gentle guidance.

She knows some basic commands already, and when she starts showing typical puppy mischief, she's easily redirected into "training mode"—which she enjoys! Walks are becoming a new favorite activity for Amity; she may be a little hesitant in unfamiliar areas at first, but she warms up quickly and then has a blast exploring. Amity is doing great with potty training as long as we keep to a schedule. She is also crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night long. She also naps in her crate during the day. We sometimes find her falling asleep in cool, calm spaces as well…our laundry room is a favorite space for her.

Amity would thrive in an active home that enjoys engaging with their dog and is ready to help her continue growing into a well-mannered companion. Whether it’s hiking, playing, or training sessions, Amity is always up for the next adventure—as long as it’s with you. While not required, Amity would do great with another dog that is willing to play and show her the ropes.

If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup who’s smart, eager, and full of potential, Amity might just be your perfect match!

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Chevy, a 3-month-old Boston Terrier mix with a soft, affectionate nature. I’m happiest when I’m by your side, your little shadow quietly waiting for a cuddle. I’m still learning how to be a big girl, so potty training and crate time are works in progress. I’m not the biggest fan of my crate and might protest at first, but I can tolerate short times inside and even take naps or sleep when I feel calm.

Sudden zoomies hit me from time to time, but mostly I love to relax and play with my favorite crinkle toys. I’m gaining confidence every day, and I have just learned how to go down the stairs!

My foster mom says I’ll thrive in a calm, loving home with a steady routine, gentle encouragement, and plenty of snuggles. I’m ready for a new adventure and can’t wait to be your trusty little sidekick.🐾

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Foxtrot (or Fox, Foxy, and even Fortnite thanks to my son and hubby 😋)! The sweetie came to Coco’s from one of our rescue partners in Texas in search of her forever home and is learning what the good life is all about! She has transitioned easily into our busy home with two kids.  Foxtrot is doing well learning some basic commands, potty training is going great, she sleeps in her crate quietly through the night, and she loves everyone she meets.  She adores attention, snuggles, playing chase in the backyard with our resident Shepard mix, and “swimming” in the grass where she sprawls out and drags her tummy along the ground.

Foxtrot does great with our kids overall(4 and 11) and is learning to be gentle with little hands and working on not jumping to greet them. Though not necessary, she would love to find a forever home with another dog to help her continue building her confidence, learn from, and play with.

Overall, she would make for a pretty easy addition to any family!

History: Jasmine is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

Jasmine is reported to be a maltese/chihuahua/mini poodle mix.

A Note from the Foster: Jasmine has been my favorite foster yet! We call her Bunny because she hops around like a Bunny.  She has tons of energy and can walk on a leash for much longer than expected for a 4.2 pound puppy.

She is very playful and loves other dogs.  We walk along the path on the lake and when see passes another dog she hops on her hind legs and waves her front paws at them and wants to touch their faces.    She loves squeaky toys and small balls.   She has not had much exposure to children, but she likes all my friends and wants to be held.

Jasmine sleeps through the night in a kennel and does not have accidents at night. Potty training during the day is a little slower.  She goes on several walks a day, but still has accidents in the house.    She does not seem to be food motivated so I am trying to figure out how to reward her besides praise.

History: I am Miss Cinnamon’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Miss Cinnamon is a beautiful pittie girl who needed help from an overcrowded rural shelter in Texas. She was a favorite right from the get-go when meeting her as she would melt into your lap and her eyes are so soulful.

She arrived to rescue and surprise! She was expecting a litter of puppies and needed an emergency c-section. With the help of our wonderful veterinarian and vet techs along with foster mom’s help, puppies did good and momma too!

This adorable land seal family is officially ready to each start their journey in finding forever homes of their very own soon.

A Note from the Foster: Hi I'm Hofmann! I am the SWEET and LOVEY one! I love to cuddle and snuggle with my foster mom. Whenever she comes to play with us I'm the first to climb in her lap! I hope my forever family will be really good at belly rubs, because they're my favorite!

Gender: Female

Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

A Note from the Foster: What an honor it is to foster Honor! She brings us so much joy and endless puppy snuggles. Honor is a simple lady. All she asks for is someone to love her, show her how fun (and not scary) new things are, and give her lots of toys to chew on.

Honor is doing very well with going potty outside, working on kennel training, and responds well when redirected from doing something she’s not supposed to do (ex. grabbing a shoe to chew on instead of a toy). For a puppy, she has been very easy compared to our previous fosters. She is very smart and learns quickly! She is also food motivated and wants to do the right thing to get praise/rewarded.

Honor is being fostered with another dog in the home (50 lbs). She wants to play, but tends to get scared when our dog gets vocal. She can definitely co-exist with other dogs, but may not play until she gets more comfortable.

If you’re looking for the sweetest pup around, Honor is your gal!

A Note from the Foster: Kamalie “Kammy” is a sweetheart. She is a puppy so still needs to learn some manners of course. She has taken correction well though. She has basically spent the day with her tail wagging and wanting snuggles and to chew on bones. She met my cat and chased him to say “hi” at first, but has left him alone since then. My cat is very assertive though. She has done fine with the other smaller dogs in my home. She is a very sweet girl that just wants snuggles and to be near her person.

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Lainey - aka your new bestie! I’m just a girl with giant ears looking to find my fur-ever home. Here are my highlights:

🐾People-Friendly 😁👋: I love every person I meet and watch strangers in public with a wagging tail to see if they’ll come say hi.

🐾Dog-Friendly 🐶: I get along great with my furry foster siblings. I do tend to resource guard things I find high value but over time I figured out sharing with the resident dogs in my foster home. Once I even had a puppy sleepover (with no toys and treats) and we played the whole time, even though we just met!

🐾Cat-Friendly 🐱: I’m always playing with the resident cat! Sometimes we play too hard or I chase her when she runs but I can be redirected pretty easily.

🐾 Medium Energy 🎾🦴: I’m happy to play with you and go for a walk, but I can also self entertain and enjoy the occasional snuggle.

🐾Easy to Train 🥰: I’m an incredibly smart puppy! I’m crate-trained and potty-trained and know most basic commands (sit, down, leave it, etc). I also have some pretty cool party tricks like shake, high five, boop (touch with my nose), roll over, and spin! I’m very food-motivated which has made training a breeze!

🐾Good in the Car 🚗: I do well riding in the car - usually sitting on someone’s lap or with a doggy seatbelt. In the car I’m usually laying down or sticking my nose out the window.

I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who would just love to be part of your family! I love hanging out with my foster family - playing, walking, or even just chilling. I’m easy to train and like going out to make new friends. I could be your most amazing friend if you give me the chance!

History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. These kiddos are SO sweet, social, friendly, and already have a great start at basic obedience and mannerisms.

A Note from the Foster: Manna here!! My foster mommy says I am just a little peanut with a whole lot of sweetness.

Folks now grab your sunglasses before you check out the shiniest of my coat. Not to mention my striking floppy ears!

Along with my beauty comes a whole lot of sweetness; this includes lots of snuggles, kisses and silliness.

How about a puppy with gentle kisses and puppy bites. My foster mommy says that is perfect for a family with children.

At my foster home, I am having so much fun playing with the other puppies and dogs. I am also respectful to the furballs called cats.

I am working hard on-going potty outside and walking on the leash. There are so many fun smells outside!

I LOVE doggie toys. I can run super-fast when fetching the ball!

I sleep soundly in my kennel all night and for naps during the day. I am a good girl!!

Treats, treats, treats = delicious! This will come in handy for my training.

I will be on the lookout for you, my forever family!!

Breed: See Below

Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age

History: Merida is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

Merida is reported to be a maltese/chihuahua/mini poodle mix.

A Note from the Foster: Merida is a sweet little girl who is learning day by day that people can be her friends.  She is a bit timid around humans but absolutely becomes the puppy she is around other dogs.  She is a teeny tiny little thing who loves, loves, loves to be outdoors.  She smells constantly of grass because she loves rolling around in it. She has started to explore and thinks rocks, sticks, leaves, and weeds are super interesting.  She loves to carry sticks around and pounce on those pesky weeds growing in the rocks.  It has become her personal goal to remove every wood chip from the landscaping to her stash across the yard. She will pick up wood chips and sticks that barely fit in her mouth but she never gives up! She arrived at her foster home scared of everything and stayed in her safe crate except to go outside.  She has discovered comfy pillows to snuggle in, squeaky toys to chase and pounce on, and is starting to eat treats left on the floor for her.  She is a smart little gal and is making great progress.  She is still a bit unsure when approached to get picked up but once held she snuggles in.   She LOOOVES belly rubs and flips right over when she feels the need!! Potty training is going well on a schedule as she learns that outside is where she should go. She keeps her kennel clean all night and during the day if her family is out. She is a pretty easy pup as she spends a lot of time sleeping in her sof pillow but has started to understand that those little squeaky things her foster mom leaves laying around are for playing with, running around is kind of fun, and that she is a champion pouncer! She looks and acts like a little bear cub when she gets going-including her back end going faster than the front.  She makes her foster family laugh!   She would do best in a home with another playful dog (her middle aged foster brother is a lump) and with a family willing to be patient as she becomes more acclimated to the good life of outside, toys, and love.  This sweet, adorable, and happier every day little girl is ready for her family!

History: Natasha is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi there! I’m Natasha! 💕 I’m a 6-month-old Poochon (that’s Poodle + Bichon = extra cute and extra smart 😉), and I’ve been living my best foster life for the past two weeks—and let me tell you, I am rocking it.

I sleep through the night like a champ (beauty sleep = essential), go potty outside like a big girl, and I’ve already learned how to sit for treats! I loooove treats. I’m also a pro at car rides—no car sickness here, just tail wags and window gazing.

At my foster home, I have two awesome doggy friends, Kevin & Lucy. We play chase in the fenced yard (I’m really fast!) and sometimes I toss the ball around all by myself like a total goofball. It's kind of my thing. 😄

People? I adore them all—men, women, kiddos, you name it. I'm gentle and sweet, and I always greet new friends with tail wags and puppy eyes. I’m also cool with dogs big and small, and even cats! I don't chase them... I mean, why would I when I could just cuddle instead?

Whether you already have pets or you're looking for your very first furry family member, I’ll fit right in. I’d be happy as your one-and-only or part of a whole crew. I'm adaptable, affectionate, and basically a tiny love bug with four legs and a heart full of joy. 💗

So, what do you say—wanna be besties forever?

Love,
Natasha 🐶✨

However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Phoebe

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 02/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: In Progress
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Smart and sassy Phoebe is going to make a wonderful addition to an active family. Phoebe has a ton of fun energy.  She loves to play inside and out. She loves squeaky toys and things that she can chew on. Peanut butter Kongs are a favorite. She loves to walk and explore the outdoors. She’s so curious and will pick up sticks on her walk.  Phoebe loves hikes and has gone at least 3 miles on an outing and could do more.

Phoebe is adventurous and excited by her surroundings . She will need puppy classes and a devoted owner to help her learn how to walk on a leash and be calm as she socializes with the outside world.

Phoebe really wants to please her human and she’s incredibly responsive to teaching with consistency. We’ve been working on the command “eyes on me“ when she barks at people or dogs while we’re on walks .  She’s doing well with it but it’s been a bit difficult for me to train her because I also have her sibling.  Once she’s the sole focus of a family I think she’ll learn very quickly.

Other pets:  Phoebe loves to roughhouse with her brother.  She doesn’t understand that cats and smaller dogs don’t want to play the same way she does.  It would be great for her to have another dog to carouse around with. If you have cats or smaller dogs you’ll need to be invested in good consistent training to help her learn to be gentle with them.

Phoebe is going to be a wonderful,  lovable addition to an active family.

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler Mix
Age: Est DOB: 05/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently received a plea to help three heeler mix puppies being surrendered by an Amish breeding program. They are sweet pups despite growing up with limited socialization opportunities and are absolutely beautiful. They are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Pony is the only girl in her litter, and she more than holds her own with her two fluffy brothers! Slightly smaller in size, she’s full of spunk and sweetness. She loves a good wrestling match but is also perfectly content wandering off for some solo exploring or a quiet nap. With her black-and-white heeler-like markings, hints of tan, and floppy ears that bounce when she plays, she’s as striking as she is gentle. Pony is kennel trained, keeps her space clean, and does a great job going potty outside. She’s affectionate, calm, and will melt your heart with her quiet charm.

Weight: 9 lbs as of 6 weeks old
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Too Young!

A Note from the Foster: Hi I'm Russell! I am the CURIOUS yet TIMID one! My foster mom says I think I'm a tough cookie, but a squeaky toy can still spook me out! I like to explore a little bit, work up lots of courage, then run back to the safety of my sisters and brother:) I'm really quite comical to watch when trying new things! It sure will be fun (and a smidge hilarious) to watch me grow into a big confident girl!

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2024
Dog Friendly: Yes- would do best w/ another dog
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Let's start with the eyes. You will not meet another pup with more engaging tan bright eyes than this sweet girl. You can't help but smile when you see her running across the yard, only to be met with a full body hug and all the loving kisses.

She is excited to please and does a great job on command of sit and re-direction/correction. Her confidence and personality l has blossomed after a month in rescue! From being carried everywhere day 1 because she was so scared, to now playfully tackling our resident dog and introducing herself to friends/family who come visit. She is very comfortable in her kennel now and will run their on cue. She has also phased out of needing another dog or human in the room while kenneled up.

3 biggest strengths:
Calm- not many young pups can play their hearts out and know when to lay down and call it quits for a bit- not this girly

Correction- she responds incredibly well to correction/re-direction (again she is looking for someone to help lead her on the right path)

Resilient- she is ready to take on life with a confident leader (hopefully another dog sibling too) to help give her an environment to shine in

2 areas of growth:
Confidence- although her transformation from day 1 in rescue has been exceptional, she still needs some time to build her confidence, especially with newer environments/people/dogs

Leash Walking- so many fun things to see on a walk, and she will make sure we address all of them! One-on-one time leash walking and full attention will help her continue to build this skill!

Siri is going to thrive in a forever home with likely another play mate, some energy to be shared in, and pawrents that are ready for ALL the loving!

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Maltese & Mini Poodle Mix
Age: Est DOB: 02/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Spring is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

Spring’s spay surgery is scheduled for mid-August so she is available for a foster to adopt option :)

A Note from the Foster: Spring is a true sweetheart! She has the cutest underbite and softest fur. She loves her training treats and will sit willingly for them. She was unsure of the leash at first but everyday she does better and better! We found that she likes her vest the best for walks. It’s a big new world so she’s discovering zoomies in the grass, chewing on sticks and squeaky toys. She will toss her balls up in the air and chase them around. We have not heard her bark yet and she’s quiet in her kennel. She had zero accidents for the first 4 days in the house (on a frequent outside potty break schedule) until I missed a cue. Once is pretty awesome for a puppy, so she’s getting there! She’s a little thing and new big noises can startle her and she will run to you for comfort. She would be perfect for someone who would be home often to let her out every few hours and older, respectful children. She gets along with my cat and wants to play with my 8# dog. My neighbor’s big dog has a big bark and that worries her. Spring is great in the car!  She is curious and loves exploring outside and would love to be someone’s sidekick everyday!

History: Tia is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Tia – 3 Pounds of Sass, Sparkle, and Pure Puppy Fun!

Tia is an 11-week-old Zuchon (Shih Tzu/Bichon mix) with enough personality to fill a room—and then some! Don’t let her tiny 3-pound frame fool you—this girl is a full-on furry wrecking ball of fun, sass, and non-stop entertainment.

She’s spicy. She’s sassy. She’s adventurous. And she needs to be in the middle of absolutely everything. If it’s happening, Tia is there—usually leading the charge, stirring up the fun, or stealing the spotlight in a puppy pile.

Whether she’s wrestling with her foster pals, zooming full speed through the house, or dragging toys twice her size across the floor, Tia throws herself into life with total joy.
