History: I am Sora’s puppy and was born in rescue!
Sora is a beautiful girl who was surrendered to rescue by a commercial breeding program and a BIG surprise to everyone- she was expecting! She has been a wonderful momma dog to her last litter of puppies and is now on the journey to being spayed and finding a forever home of her own while her puppies look for their families too!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.
A Note from the Foster: Baby Brin here!! I am 9 weeks old, weighing in at 13 lbs.
I have a beautiful brindle coat and a curled tail. Along with my beauty comes sweetness; this includes lots of snuggles, kisses and silliness.
I am a confident little girl. My first day at my foster home I walked right up and down the stairs to go outside potty. Some puppies might be unsure of big steps, but not me.
I am working hard on-going potty outside. I am walking gentle on the leash at potty time.
I sleep soundly in my kennel all night and for naps during the day. I am a good girl!!
At my foster home, I am having so much fun playing with the other puppies and dogs. I LOVE doggie toys. Chewing on toys keeps me very busy.
It’s also super fun when we play outside. There are so many new sounds and smells.
There are furballs called cats here. I am curious to meet them.
Treats, treats, treats = delicious! This will come in handy for my training.
Come get me soon my forever family!!

History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of Aussie mix puppies needed a second chance from a rural area in the southern states. They are all things soft, fluffy, and SO sweet. Introducing our Litter of All Cozy Things ❤️
A Note from the Foster: This spunky little girl lives up to her name—she’d always rather be snuggled up with you than playing with her littermates! Cozy is full of energy, super playful, and loves being the center of attention. She’s still learning to walk on a leash but making great progress, and she’s doing well with potty pads too. If you’re looking for a cuddly shadow with a playful side, Cozy is your girl!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Eve – Your Future Best Friend!
Hi there! My name is Eve, and I’m a spunky, 19-pound ball of love looking for my forever home! I’m a black bully mix with the cutest little paws and a heart as big as the North Dakota sky (that’s where I was rescued from!).
I might let out a bark or two when I get excited, but don’t worry—it just means I’m ready to play! Whether it’s chasing toys, zooming around the yard, or snuggling up after a long day, I’m always up for fun. I’m still working on my potty training and learning my manners, but I promise I’m a quick learner (especially if treats are involved!).
If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and loyal pup to join your family, I just might be the perfect match! Let’s meet and see if we’re meant to be.
Love & Tail Wags,
Eve

A Note from the Foster: Kamalie “Kammy” is a sweetheart. She is a puppy so still needs to learn some manners of course. She has taken correction well though. She has basically spent the day with her tail wagging and wanting snuggles and to chew on bones. She met my cat and chased him to say “hi” at first, but has left him alone since then. My cat is very assertive though. She has done fine with the other smaller dogs in my home. She is a very sweet girl that just wants snuggles and to be near her person.

History: We recently held our annual Out of the Cold Rescue Effort and welcomed back 200+ animals to rescue. This rescue effort helps animals out of the cold, frigid weather of North Dakota and welcomes them to loving foster homes at Coco’s Heart who work towards finding forever homes for these sweet pups.
A Note from the Foster: Koala is one of a litter of 8 puppies and once we decided on a “bear” theme, she was the first to earn her name when she wrapped her little paws around our arms and held on like a koala bear! She still likes to be carried that way. Koala is a super sweet, funny girl who always manages to sneak one of our resident dogs toys back into the puppy pen with her. She’s got a stubby little tail that she wags with her entire body when she’s excited, and she loves everyone and everything so she’s excited a lot! If you’re looking for a pup who will make you laugh every day, Koala’s your girl!

History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Lainey! I love people so whether I know you or you’re new to me, I want to be your friend. I’ll love you forever if you play with me and if you aren’t playing with me, I’ll join you in whatever you’re doing!
I LOVE toys. I prefer to spread all the toys out so I know what my options are. I usually pick a squeaky toy, but you never know so it’s best to be sure. When I first got to my foster home, I was a super energetic, playful girl because I was so excited to have a home. Now, I still have my puppy energy, but I’m also adjusting to home life and I like to spend about half of my time napping in my crate or cuddling in bed with my foster mom.
I’m doing SUPER DUPER well with learning my big girl skills. I settle quickly in the crate and playpen because I have better things to do than sit and whine (like chew on my toys). When we go outside, I know exactly what to do and have very few accidents when on a schedule. My foster mom is so impressed with how smart I am and has had to come up with more tricks to teach me because of how quickly I learn! I already know how to sit, lay down, leave it, and am doing really well learning how to stay but sometimes my wiggly body doesn’t agree with my brain so we just say that it’s a work in progress. I also know some pretty cool party tricks like shake, high five, boop (touch with my nose), roll over, and spin! I’m very food-motivated which has made training a breeze!
I’m doing really well with learning how to share my treats and toys with the other dogs, but sometimes I need a reminder from foster mom what I’m supposed to do. Slow and monitored introductions to new animals would be best, but now I get along great with my foster family’s resident animals almost all of the time and know to walk away when the other dogs let me know they’re sick of my shenanigans.
I’m a super smart, playful girl who would love to be part of your family! I love hanging out with my foster family and making them laugh (sometimes I can be a bit clumsy and I make goofy faces when I’m playing with my toys). I learn super quickly and make a great walking buddy. I’m so excited to meet you and can’t wait to show you my favorite toys!

History: We recently welcomed a group of aussie mix puppies from an overcrowded shelter and wow, they are sweet, beautiful, and SO friendly! They are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon.
A Note from the Foster: Hi! I am Mallory but my foster family just calls me "Sweet Pea", especially when we are cuddling or when I am waiting quietly for them to pick me up. I have the most beautiful eyes, and I know how to use them to make hearts melt. It is my superpower. I love my crate and always go right into it when it is bedtime or when my mom has to go to work. I always keep it clean and the only time I ever made any noise in it was when I had a really bad tummy ache. My mom let me out and I went straight outside! I know that is where I am supposed to do my business. My foster family is very good about taking me out on a schedule. I think they want me to tell them when I need to go but I don't know how to do that yet. I hear I am pretty smart, and I LOVE treats, so I think I will figure it out quickly. I am very calm for a little girl and will play or chew quietly on some toys. Unless your toes are within reach, then I might try to chew them. I am learning that it isn't ok to chew on toes and pants, but I am very little, and sometimes I forget. I live with a really big dog who doesn't mind too much when I try to play. I can listen when she tells me to knock it off (she has the most beautiful hair to chew on). I love to be outside and explore but I also love the treat I get when I hear this word "come", I think it means "here is a treat you little cutie". I don't live with little kids, but I met the neighbor kids and LOVED LOVED LOVED playing with them! I am so little I bet I would even love a cat if I met one. Everything is so new and exciting! If you are looking for a sweet and cuddly, smart and sometimes sassy, medium energy cutie pie to complete your family then I am your little girl!

History: We recently welcomed Moonie and her brother, Gidget to rescue from a local (ish) shelter who reached out in hopes we can welcome them to Coco’s Heart and help them with their confidence as they both arrived a bit shy. They have been doing well in rescue and are coming out of their shells by the day!
A Note from the Foster: Moonie is a sweet, young girl that continues to gain confidence as she settles into her foster home. She is timid with new people and situations, but with reassurance and giving her a little time to warm up, Moonie is learning that people can be kind…and willing to give treats. In the short time she has been with her foster family, she is approaching them for pets and gives them licks to let them know when she would like more attention. She has also learned that belly scratches are pretty great!
Her medium size has kept her foster family wondering what mix of breeds this beautiful girl really is. She has done well with the older and calm energy of the kiddos in her foster home (ages 11 and 8). With a tail that always seems to be wagging, Moonie has so much love to give.
Outside is Moonie’s favorite place to be. She likes sniffing all the smells and enjoys the warm sunshine. She has been respectful of the cues from the resident dogs in her foster home and has initiated play when outside. Due to her age, Moonie does enjoy chewing. She redirects easily to chew on her bone or chew treats.
Moonie sleeps quietly in her kennel at night and keeps things clean. She is doing great with potty training on a schedule. Her foster family has just begun practicing basic obedience (come, leash manners, kennel and sit). She has quickly learned that she will get yummy treats if she goes into her kennel.
Moonie would do best in a home that can provide a calm and reassuring environment to help her continue to learn that people are pretty great. With time and patience, Moonie will continue to flourish.

A Note from the Foster: Naomi is a beautiful, gentle soul with the softest caramel coat, light brindle accents, and an adorably wrinkly forehead that makes her look thoughtful beyond her years. At around 20 pounds, she’s the perfect size for couch cuddles and adventure alike!
She came into rescue needing a little extra TLC, and she's already blossoming into such a loving, curious pup. Naomi has been quiet and clean in her crate, sleeping peacefully through the night—and in the morning, she greets us with the sweetest little chirps that sound more like a songbird than a puppy.
She’s doing a great job learning the ropes of potty training—she’s excellent about going when she’s outside and is starting to figure out how to tell us when she needs to go. She’s also warming up to toys (they’re still a bit of a mystery to her), but she loves exploring the house and snuggling into her cozy puppy bed for quiet time.
Naomi gets along wonderfully with our resident dog (a calm 7-year-old Vizsla) and is already a playful wrestling buddy to our foster pup, Brownie. She’s a confident eater, a world-class snuggler, and incredibly sweet with people and dogs alike.
This girl has a calm, thoughtful presence with just the right amount of puppy playfulness. Naomi would thrive in a loving home that will continue to give her the structure, affection, and encouragement she’s been soaking up since arriving in rescue. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, gentle kisses, and the warmest cuddles you could ask for.
Ready to welcome Naomi into your heart and home? She can’t wait to meet you! 🐶💛

She needs a family that can provide plenty of exercise, patience, and guidance as they learn the ropes of being a good dog.

History: I am Loretta’s puppy!
Loretta is a beautiful girl who found herself at an overcrowded rural shelter and was very pregnant. She had her puppies just days prior to coming to rescue and they settled into their foster home with us very quickly. Her puppies are stocky, pudgy kiddos with unique personalities of their very own!
Momma Loretta has been an amazing dog and has recently taken on 3 Great Dane puppies as a surrogate for Momma Lavender who had 15 puppies and could not produce enough milk for them all. Loretta will be ready for adoption once the Great Dane puppies are no longer needing milk. She is so patient with them and took them in as her own- she is the very best girl!
A Note from the Foster: Let me introduce myself: I’m Simone, and I specialize in cuddles, tail wags, and falling asleep in weird positions (with very impressive snoring, I might add). Seriously, if you’ve ever wanted a little snoring loaf of love in your life, I’m your girl.
I absolutely love people—big ones, little ones, doesn’t matter. If you’ve got a lap, I will sit in it. I’m also a huge fan of other dogs, whether they’re the big goofy and kind or the small spicy type. I just want to be friends with everyone.
Right now, I’m working on some important stuff like crate training and potty training. I’m doing pretty awesome if I do say so myself—when I’m on a schedule, I know just what to do when I get outside. I also know how to sit like a polite lady, and I’m practicing my puppy manners like not jumping when I’m excited or using my teeth during play (still learning, okay? I’m trying!).
My hobbies include snuggling, snoring like a tiny grandpa, following you everywhere, and trying to sneak onto the couch even when I’m pretending to be subtle. Spoiler: I’m not.
If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, loving pup who will adore you forever (and serenade you with snores during nap time), I think we might be meant to be.
Can I come home with you?

History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of Aussie mix puppies needed a second chance from a rural area in the southern states. They are all things soft, fluffy, and SO sweet. Introducing our Litter of All Cozy Things ❤️
Slippers may also be hearing impaired. We will learn more at her intake exam coming up!
A Note from the Foster: Slippers is the shy sweetheart of her litter. She’s quiet, gentle, and takes a little time to warm up—but once she does, she’ll happily curl up in your lap for snuggles. She prefers a calm, cozy space and is perfectly content just being near you. Slippers is still learning how to walk on a leash and getting used to crate time, but with patience and love, she’s sure to blossom. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion, Slippers is the one.
