Female Puppies

Alani

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: She is getting used to going to the door when she needs to go potty, yay! She loves to play and has taken a shine to a tug of war rope we got her. She is pretty well behaved besides her puppy crazy puppy times. She likes to chew so we have gotten her crinkly toys and those sorts of things besides the chew bones (not much interest on the chew bones often, more toy oriented) she like slippers so keep those away! She will curl up at your feet (wherever you are) for nap time. She is still learning to walk on a leash, but she doesnt pull, just doesnt walk straight 🤪

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Gender: Female
Breed: Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age

A Note from the Foster: Meet Ann — Professional Human Trainer

Hi! I’m Ann, and I’ve been very busy training my foster humans. It’s going great so far, but I’m ready to find a forever family I can continue my work with.

Here are some of my best training accomplishments so far:

✔️ I’ve trained my human to give me a treat every time I sit.
All I have to do is plant my butt on the ground, and boom—snack delivery.

✔️ I trained my human to open the door whenever I stand by it.
Now I can go outside to potty… or sprint laps around the yard for absolutely no reason other than it’s fun and I’m fast.

✔️ I trained my human to give me a treat for going into my kennel.
They think they taught me to kennel-up, but we all know who’s in charge here.

✔️ I’ve even trained my human to sit on the couch the moment I’m ready for a nap.
Training humans is exhausting work, and cuddle time is the best way for both of us to recharge.

I’m a smart girl who loves playing fetch, chewing on toys, and anything that earns me snacks. I also love other dogs! I’d be thrilled to have a four‑legged buddy in my new home. In my foster home, the senior dog isn’t quite ready to play with me yet, but I’m working hard to win him over.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful girl who will make you laugh and keep you on your toes, I’d love to meet you.

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

Ariel had ulnar osteotomy surgery in January 2026 because of concerns with her right front leg. They didn’t find any issues in her elbow joints, but Ariel was starting to develop a condition called radius curvus, which affects the shape of her forearm. Additionally, there was some misalignment in her right elbow due to an abnormal growth plate in her ulna.

While her left forearm looks normal, it still needs to be watched as she grows. Ariel has been recovering well and is now on a specific rehabilitation plan to help her heal and get back to her active lifestyle.

A Note from the Foster: Ariel is a sweet girl with lots of energy, she likes to play and chase her toys all day long! She LOVES chew toys!! She is working on potty training and jumping up. She is kennel trained with a treat incentive to get her in there and some protesting if left in there for long periods. She's a sweet playful girl

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet this adorable, playful little pup!

Aurora is sweet, affectionate, and already potty trained and crate trained. While she’d absolutely love to snuggle in bed at night, she will settle nicely in her crate if needed.

She enjoys Kong toys filled with treats, and like any happy puppy, she loves to run, play, and explore with her toys. She is teething right now, so she’ll need supervision to keep her safe.

This girl gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She hasn’t met young children yet, but based on her friendly personality, she would likely do great with them. She also walks very well on a leash.

Overall, she’s a wonderful, loving puppy who will make a fantastic addition to a caring family.

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Bailey, (Bailey, Bailey!) a fun-loving, playful pup who brings a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. She’s soft and cute, yes (!) but she’s also got a wild, goofy side and is always ready for her next adventure. Field trips are her favorite, whether that’s cruising around town or heading out to explore something new. She rides great in the car and makes an excellent co-pilot.

She enjoys meeting new people and happily soaks up attention. Little kids still make her a bit unsure, so she’d do best in a home with adults or older kids who can respect her space while she builds confidence. When it comes to dogs, she loves playing with all the dogs she’s met and definitely with her foster sister. Bailey would thrive with a canine buddy or an active household that can keep up with her energy.

She’s also already nailed one important skill: she’s fantastic at sitting, especially when treats are involved.

This sweet girl does have megaesophagus, a well-managed condition that doesn’t slow her down or stop her from living a happy, full life. It simply means she eats her meals in a special high chair to help her swallow safely which, honestly, is ridiculously adorable. Her routine is established, pretty easy to manage, and she handles it like a champ.

If you’re looking for a pup who’s cute, adventurous, a little chaotic, and endlessly lovable—with a built-in dinner-time photo op—this girl might be your perfect match 🐾💗

History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon!

A Note from the Foster: Bonnieis an extremely smart and playful puppy.  She arrived at Coco’s recently from a rescue in AL with her brother Clyde and the two of them are the sweetest pair.  She is curious, not easily spooked, and loves other dogs.  We haven’t had her around cats yet, but I think she will do fine with them too. We go outside regularly throughout the day and are working on her potty training.  She is making great progress!  She likes her crate and will go in it on her own and she sleeps for 7+ hours without accidents.   Bonnie loves people too (especially my husband).  Overall, she would be an easy fit in most homes if you are ready for, and interested in, a puppy.  She’s simply adorable!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Cloud-The Sweetest Little Fluff Looking For Her Forever Family

Cloud is a beautiful malamute-mix puppy with the softest coat, the gentlest eyes, and a heart that wants nothing more than to belong. She’s a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, her personality shines through in the sweetest ways. Once she trusts you she becomes a total cuddle bug who melts into your lap and follows you around like a little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and has the most adorable zoomies when she gets to romp around outside.

Cloud currently lives with children and a 70-pound resident dog named Luna, who has become a mentor and playmate. She is interested in other dogs but needs a little time to warm up. She’s gentle with kids and enjoys being part of the family.

Cloud is still a puppy so she’s learning the basics. Potty training is a work in progress but she’s getting better every day with routine and some treats. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night but during the day she’d rather be out where the fun is happening. She has a serious case of FOMO and wants to be part of the family’s daily rhythm. She’s smart, eager to please, and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement.

Cloud is a truly special puppy who will blossom into an incredible companion with the right family. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, playful girl who will adore you with her whole heart, Cloud might be your perfect match.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

I am Stella’s puppy and was born in rescue

Stella is a beautiful girl who arrived to rescue with some obvious vision limitations but despite this has been wonderful in her foster home. It was after arriving to rescue that she was found to be expecting puppies and has been a great momma to her adorable litter of unique kiddos who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Miss Dolly is a ray of sunshine! She’s the first one out of her litter mates to run to someone and snuggle with them on their lap. She has melted so many hearts already! She is the runt of the litter but doesn’t show it! Small but mighty as we say in our house. She does well with children as well as other dogs.

Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Dorothy!!  She’s 1 of the 4 Golden Girls from Cori’s litter.  Dorothy is a sweet 8 week old shepherd mix who would make the perfect cuddle companion. She’s a cute little fluffball who loves to play with toys and pounce around after her sister.  She is doing well in her crate and hasn’t had an accident in it.  She is doing wonderfully with potty training when taken outside regularly.

She absolutely loves being part of a family and has settled in very quickly.  She’s loves playing with her sister and warmed up to our two bigger dogs right away.

Dorothy doesn’t mind the cold and has been jumping around playfully in the snow on her potty breaks.  She’s been treat motivated and very smart with going potty and coming back in the house for such a young pup.

Dorothy can’t wait to find her forever family!  You’ll be so happy with this cuddly little fluffball!!

Dream

Adoption Status: Pending

‍Dream is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History:  We received a plea to help a litter of what was 6 Great Pyrenees mix puppies from a rural area in Northern MN. Upon arrival, there were 10 puppies and we opened our doors even wider to welcome them all into rescue. They are sweet, friendly, and loving puppies who are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Dream, your new little shadow with the most mesmerizing eyes. She’s a striking puppy whose focused gaze makes it feel like you’re the center of her universe. Her coat is a deep dark brown‑black, and in the right light you’ll catch subtle brown highlights that give her a unique, beautiful look.  Pictures do not do her unique beauty justice.

Even though she’s only been in a home for less than two days, Dream is already proving how smart, adaptable, and capable she is. She’s learning potty training, using puppy pads when she needs to, and makes a true effort to go outside. Her food motivation makes teaching new skills easy, and she’s always ready to try something new.

When Dream settles in for a belly rub, she fully relaxes and closes her eyes as she enjoys the moment. She’s unfazed by loud noises, confident in new environments, and has a natural curiosity that leads her to observe everything happening around her. While she does have a calmer temperament than many active breeds, she still loves to wrestle, romp and instigate playtime with her sister.

She’s learning puppy manners well, offering gentle licks instead of nibbles and sitting politely for treats or when waiting to be let out of her crate. She is good at staying in her crate when sharing it with her sister, but she’s also content simply stretching out outside, sometimes flopping on her belly to chew her leash as if she’s perfectly happy doing her own thing for a while.

Dream is playful and social but also confident enough to explore independently.  She’s curious, expressive, and not shy about offering her little puppy opinions. Dream is a wonderful mix of independence, clever, playful, and watchful—a pup who will grow into a loyal and steady companion for a very lucky family.

A Note from the Foster: This is Echo!

She is a black shepherd mix, with beautiful Brindle markings and even a marble colored eye.  She is as wonderful as she is unique and beautiful.

At just four months old she is the sweetest puppy.  She has potty training mastered, not one accident in my house, she is crate trained with no problems, sleeps all night long and when I leave the house she lays down in her kennel like a good girl.  Echo loves and respects the senior resident dog and loves to play with other puppies too!  She even likes the cats, and is just so interested in what they do and that they can climb!  lol  People are fun too, she isn't afraid of the neighbors and loves the pets and attention she gets.

Echo is sweet, super affectionate, happy, playful, so smart, loyal and learns and listens well. She gets how to sit and fetch is coming along strong. She loves toys and something good to chew on.  She plays until it's time to nap and she prefers that to be at your feet.

She would be great for any family, and would love a yard to run in, or nice long walks to get her zoomies and energy out.

History:  Three adorable littermates, Fiza, Freesia, and Flier needed help from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and arrived to rescue ready to get their second chance. They are each so sweet and unique and hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Freesia! 🌸

Freesia is the cutest little puppy and is thriving in her foster home! She loves playing with toys, chewing on bones, romping outside in the snow, and playing with her 55-lb foster Lab brother.

Like any puppy, she’s still working on potty training — but she has made amazing progress and hasn’t had any #2 accidents in the house! She sleeps in her crate ALL night and goes potty right after being taken out in the morning. She also does great in her puppy playpen — give her some toys and water and she’s happy as can be.

Freesia responds well to treats during training and also loves praise and encouragement. She’s a smart girl who’s eager to learn!

Freesia would thrive in a home where she can cuddle, play, and continue building her confidence. She does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to just about any loving family!

She truly is an amazing puppy who deserves a forever home… maybe that could be yours? 💛

Gender: Female

House Trained: Too Young!

History: I am Bruni’s puppy!

Bruni is a stunning young lab mix who needed help locally in Northern MN along with her adorable 5 little sidekicks. They settled into a wonderful foster home and now are officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hello, my name is Genie and I am part of the sidekick’s litter. I am the vibrant playful one in the group. I am always playing or discovering new things. If anyone is making noise it’s me. I’m not loud by any means I just want to be out and about and learning new things! The world is a fun place and I am eager to be in it.

My foster family works hard to ensure that I am exposed to as many different sights, sounds, touches, feels, people, and so on as possible so that I am set up for success for my future family. Things like this are very important at my young age! However, because I am a puppy there are lots of things for me to still learn that my forever family should plan for, such as leash training, kennel training, potty training, obedience, and so much more… but key skills to help me adapt to these things have already begun.

A Note from the Foster: Haley is the sweetest pup ever. She loves to play with people or by herself. She is quite the little shadow but also explores independently. Snuggles are her most favorite! She can be timid with people at first but wiggles her butt so much showing that she wants attention even if she needs a minute to warm up! She is learning to be content in her kennel by hanging out there during the day and at night. Sometimes she whines or lets out a little howl but eventually settles. Potty training is going well with occasional accidents of not let out enough. Cat friendliness is unknown, due to her your age she will likely be trainable to co-exist. She is curious about babies. She doesn't quite understand why they are so small and babbly, but she can relax around them.

History: Hallie Mae is a beautiful and spunky little lady who needed a second chance from a rural area. She has a big personality in a little body and has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hallie Mae wants to show you her head tilt and you better say you like it!

Ahheem…you’ll have to excuse my foster mom.  She’s a bit obsessed with my personality.  My name is Hallie Mae and I’m a pretty sweet (yet sassy) gal.

I love to run and play with the other doggies in my foster home.  They are about as goofy as I am!  I’m also pretty keen on humans.  Nothing beats a cuddle and kiss…am I right?  I’m a bit of an attention hog so the more love you give me, the happier I’ll be.

I’m still working on all that puppy stuff.  I’m not fond of my kennel, but I settle down after a bit and take a snooze.  Potty training is a work in progress, but I’m pretty smart so it shouldn’t take too long to master.  I’m getting used to a leash (and learning it’s not a chew toy) and I love a good car ride.  I’ve learned that “pup cups” come from drive throughs and I’m not mad about it.

I’m looking for a family that will love me as much as I love them, adores puppy kisses & wagging tails & smiles when I tilt my head (you better like it).  Treats and cheese tax are non negotiable.

History: Breaking news from the kennel wire: A basket full of Arkansas puppies just completed the most lopsided trade in Minnesota sports history! Heading north to Minnesota in exchange for “future considerations”. The pups arrived, immediately demanded sweaters then signed long-term contracts as professional lap warmers. Arkansas says they’ll miss them; Minnesota says they just upgraded their roster with elite snuggle stats and zero salary cap!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Hartsy!

Hartsy is a 10 week old bundle joy. She’s a tiny ball of energy with a big personality.  If there’s attention to be had, you can bet she’ll be first in line and she’ll soak up every second of it.

Once she gets those wiggles out, she transforms into a total love bug. Soft, snuggly, and happiest curled up close, Hartsy is the perfect mix of playful spark and sweet, heart-melting cuddles.

Honey

Adoption Status: Pending

I am available as a foster to adopt!

Gender: Female
Breed: Chihuahua & Mini Poodle Mix (best guess)
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Honey. We dare you not to fall in love with this sweet girl. We’ve only had her for a week but Honey has already snuggled her way into everyone’s hearts. Breaking the scale at a whopping 4lbs, she plays with dogs ten times her size and doesn’t skip a beat. We have kids ranging from 6 to 14 and she’s great with them and both our dogs. Honey hasn’t met a cat but I assume she’d do great. She’s only 10 weeks old so potty training is still a work in progress but she does great going outside when let out frequently. Honey sleeps in a kennel next to the bed at night and settles in quickly. I work from home so she spends most of the day lounging with her fur friends or chewing on all the toys she can drag around. Are you ready to add some sweetener to your life? You can’t go wrong with a little Honey!

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of puppies who arrived to rescue with the help of Lightshine Rescue whose efforts are focused on a rural reservation in South Dakota where resources are low.

A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Indie. My foster mama also calls me Peanut and Sweetie.  I am a tiny little Shepard mix, weighing in just under 10 lbs at 9 weeks. I was the smallest in my litter but that doesn’t stop me from wrestling and tumbling with my sister. I am learning to sit but my tail wiggles make it hard to stay there. I am really good about using the training pads. I’m a bit nervous about outside noises so going out there is a work in progress. I am learning to kennel up on my own. I sleep in there all night with no noises until I hear foster mama up and moving around.

I have 2 foster sisters, and I am obsessed with them! I love to follow them around and try to get them to play with me. They think I’m too little, but I really want to play!! When they play with each other, I try to join in.

My foster mama has toddler grandkids who come visit. I haven’t learned not to jump on them but they love to get kisses. I calm down quickly so they can pet me and we can snuggle.

I am looking forward to finding my forever home.  Will you be my snuggle bug?

Jazzie

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Mini Goldendoodle
Age: DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: In Progress

History: Jazzie is a beautiful little lady who was recently surrendered to rescue. She is so loving and working hard on her confidence building. She hopes to find her forever home soon! She is shy and timid so a patient and understanding family will be important for her success long-term.

A Note from the Foster: Jazzie (we sometimes call her Honey) is a smart, curious and energetic little doodle. Her favorite things to do:  Eat, play and snuggle.  She is usually close on the heels of her foster mom.  In fact we put a bell on her collar, so we know where she is.

When she arrived at rescue, she had really long hair.  She went to the groomer and came out a new girl!  The groomer said she was “more than patient and calm for the entire grooming process”.

She is still learning about the big new world.  She spends a lot of our ‘walk’ time looking and listening and not doing so much walking.  She barks at people she doesn’t recognize and is still nervous about new sounds and quick movements.

She loves treats and is easy to teach tricks.  She already knows how to sit and shake. She can walk several steps on her back two feet, so our next project is to teach her to dance!

Jazzie has a tiny little underbite which gives her the sweetest smile. She is very spunky and loves toys.  Her favorite place to nap is on your lap.  She sniffed the cats at Angel’s with interest, so I think she’d be OK with cats.

Her list of positives:

-She is great in the car; she just curls up and takes a nap.

-She is a good sleeper.  She loves her sleeping crate as long as she can see her foster mom.  She wakes up once or twice during the night for a potty break, but she settles right back down. She keeps her crate clean.

Things we are working on:

Daytime crating:  She doesn’t like being in her daytime crate if she thinks she is missing out on something going on elsewhere. She has FOMO!

Counter Surfing:  Yes, this little 13 lb. puppy would love to surf your counters.  She tries so hard to jump up there, especially when we are putting food into her bowl (but hasn’t made it – YET!).

She would be fine in a home with other dogs.  However she would also love to be the only so she can have ALL of the attention.

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Jemma

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Jemma is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Dachshund Mix
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon!

A Note from the Foster: Jemma is a tiny little ball of energy and affection wrapped up in the cutest dachshund mix package you’ve ever seen. She’s petite, playful, and always wagging her tail — truly a happy little soul.

She absolutely loves playing with other pups and will happily bounce around with toys any chance she gets. And when she walks, she doesn’t just walk — she sort of bounces and hops along like a tiny little deer. (Yes — her ears bounce right along with her. It’s as adorable as it sounds.) She has the sweetest, most unique little face with beautiful white and tan markings that make her extra special.

But what really makes Jemma shine is how much she adores affection. She’s quickly learning that humans are the absolute best for belly scratches, cozy snuggles and being scooped up for love. Once she settles in, she melts right into you and soaks up every bit of attention she can get. Her happy little tail rarely stops wagging.

Jemma is doing great with potty training and is already learning to find her puppy pad like a champ. She settles nicely overnight — after a brief little “hey, don’t leave me!” protest — and then sleeps quietly through the night.

She’s affectionate, fun, and full of personality in a very petite frame. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend who will play hard, snuggle close, and happily roll over for belly rubs, Jemma might just be your girl. 💛

Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Learning quickly!

History: I am Shima’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

Momma Shima arrived to rescue with her adorable kiddos and have been doing well in rescue. They are now officially ready to each find forever home of their very own!

A Note from the Foster: Juneau is a smart, easy going, and playful puppy! She is really intelligent and would likely do well with things like scent training, tricks, or other things to keep her mind busy. She is doing beautifully with crate training. She loves her crate and will go in there just because she wants to. She is learning quickly with potty training and doing really well. She is sometimes waking once in the night to go potty, but goes straight back to bed. She keeps her crate dry overnight.

She spends most of her day snuggled on her dog bed, playing with toys, looking for sticks outside, inquiring what all the humans are doing, and enjoying some cuddles. She loves belly rubs. She is highly food-motivated and learns quickly.

Juneau loves people of all ages, including kids. She just wants someone to play and snuggle with!

Breed: Rottweiler Mix (very petite)
Age: Est DOB: 01/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently received a plea to help from a rural area where dogs are often found as strays- unclaimed and with no home. Many who are fending for themselves in the midwest elements (cold, heat, etc). They are deserving kiddos who each hope to find a family of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Juniper AKA Chunky is about 10 puppies’-worth of pure comedy bundled into a tiny package. It’s hard to tell from a picture, but “Rottweiler Mix” is generous; she is very petite.

Are you looking for a sweetheart to snuggle you on the couch from 5-9 while you chill after a long day at work?  Look elsewhere.  But if you want to be entertained by silly antics for hours on end, Juniper’s your girl.  Let me clarify — she will snuggle you, but like a cat, it’s going to be on her terms.

Do you have another dog?  Great.  She loves dogs.  I hope that dog has a sense of humor, though, because Juniper will push your dog’s buttons.

The good news is, you can (very easily) just pick her right up, and she’ll behave almost immediately. (Have a chew toy on hand! 😉)

Other than comedic relief, Juniper’s talents include keeping her crate clean at night, being quiet in her crate, and wrestling toys three times her size.  Also, she has an immense amount of confidence.  Good for her!

I believe in being very honest about the pups in my foster care so that they go to the right home.  Juniper is going to make an amazing companion for somebody; she is hilarious, super fun, and an overall awesome girl.

Do you have room in your heart for a spunky goof of a pup?  Meet Juniper!!!

We all slept together the first few nights, then sister Mocha started crawling over the puppy pen. Foster mommy decided we were getting too big for the puppy pen. I sleep nicely in my own kennel all night and for naps during the day. I prefer to sleep on the floor near my foster mommy while she is working.

I have a beautiful black and brown coat and a curled tail. I look a lot like my sister Matcha, but my face has lighter markings.

I LOVE doggie toys and playing outside on the nice warm winter days!  I am working on-going potty outside and walking on a leash.

Treats, treats, treats = delicious! This will come in handy for my training.

Come get me soon my forever family!!

Love - Latte

Lenna

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Bichon Frise
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Lenna is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Lenna is a dainty, ivory colored beauty who has never known all that life has to offer outside of a kennel. In just a few short days of being with us, she’s proven that her curiosity is stronger than her fear, her desire for love outweighs all else, and that she’s ready for all the fun and goodness having a family and home of her own will bring!

She is mostly a chill girl, although she’s recently discovered the art of zoomies – and let me tell you—the freedom of running around for joy feels amazing! Most of the time she’s content to curl up in your lap or at your feet, or simply to follow you from room to room just to be near you. Snuggles are a must for this girl, a total sweetheart who just feels safer when you’re around. She enjoys squeezing in between couch pillows for a nap, playing with our kids in a game of chase, and spending time with our golden retriever (who absolutely adores Lenna)!

Lenna is still very much a puppy, but without all the destructive chewing, biting, needing to potty constantly, up in the middle of the night… there are some definite benefits to adopting an older puppy! She is still learning the routines of home life, being in her crate without you near, potty training, figuring out stairs and what to do with dog toys, etc., but she’s such a smart girl and catches on so quickly. Send in your application today so you can be part of Lenna’s healing and joyful transition to the good life!

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Lily

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Pitbull Terrier Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly:  Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed a litter of pitbull mix puppies from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and they arrived to rescue SO sweet and each hoping to find a forever home of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Lily: 20 pounds of pure personality in a fun-sized package!

At 5 months old and about 20 lbs, Lily is a petite pittie mix with beautiful German Shepherd-like coloring—and maybe a dash of something smaller for scale. Her ears have a satellite system of their own — they tilt and swivel in every direction, always tuning in to your affection.

Despite her compact size, Lily still manages to sound like a herd of buffalo scampering across the kitchen floor. She is packed with personality — from her dramatic baby grumbles to her pouncy, bouncy, full-body-wiggle playfulness. She loves being outside and is happy exploring on walks, sniffing for critters or chomping snowflakes straight out of the sky. Indoors she loves a good nylabone gnaw, squeaky toy or bully stick. Of course, nothing beats a good pair of Mom or Dad’s shoes, but she’s easily redirected to appropriate toys or a rousing round of tug.

Lily does great in her crate during the day and overnight. She may voice a few objections about it at first, but she settles in quickly and snoozes like a champ - in every position possible! She’s doing well on potty training. She’s accident-free during the day on a schedule but she’ll still need an overnight break until her body catches up with her big spirit. Luckily she’s such a solid snoozer, she goes out and does her business on auto-pilot so she can get back to counting sheep.

Lily is a spirited companion for kids, playing enthusiastically but knowing when to ease up. She enjoys following the lead of other dogs and respects their boundaries. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we suspect she’d take the hint from one solid swat and quickly accept them as the true household authorities.

Lily is a silly, roly-poly little meatball with the sweetest face and warmest heart, ready to bring her big love to her forever family. Small body. Massive joy. Endless entertainment!

Mackenzie

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler Mix
Age: DOB: 12/10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: I am Mayzee’s puppy and was born in rescue!

A beautiful stocky heeler mix named Mayzee arrived to rescue when she was found as a pregnant stray in a very rural area where she was fending for herself with another dog. She arrived to rescue very scared and uncertain of people around her. She had her litter of puppies and her journey with her puppies in rescue have been unique to work towards gaining her trust while helping her with her confidence.

Her puppies are doing well however and are each ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

Heeler and heeler mix dogs are a working dog breed and would thrive best in an active household that is excited to provide lots of physical exercise and go through training. These dogs are very smart and love learning. They do best when they have a job to do and are generally not couch potatoes. They can also make great family pets as long as they are still given the appropriate outlets for their energy and drive. We recommend doing research on the Heeler aka Australian cattle dog breed prior to applying to adopt to ensure they are a good fit for your family.

A Note from the Foster: Miss Mackenzie is ready to fill your house with joy!  She is a happy, bouncy, cuddly, and loving little girl.  Well, not so little.  At 12 weeks and 15 pounds she will surely be a medium-sized dog when she grows up.  That won’t stop her quest for the best snuggles or best spot on your lap for sure!  Where there is a will, there is a way and she has the will! She is very nearly potty trained with very few accidents in the house anymore and is learning to use the bell by the door to let us know when she needs to go out.  She knows “sit” and “come” and will do just about anything you ask for a treat. She sleeps in her crate all night and goes in willingly and quietly then turns and looks for her treat. She LOVES food!  She also loves everyone she comes into contact with-two legged or four legged, adult or child.  She would make the best pet for a family with or without kids-she just needs people to love and a belly to be scratched.  This pretty little lady would love to meet you!

Breed: Boxer Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Mayla is a sweet, sensitive dog who is still learning to feel comfortable in new situations. She can be quite shy when first meeting new people and tends to do best when given time, space, and a calm approach to build trust. Once she feels safe, her personality slowly comes through.

She enjoys playing with our resident dog and would love a home with an older dog to help with her confidence. She also keeps busy with her bones and stuffed toys.

She can be vocal at times, particularly when she’s excited, unsure, or trying to communicate her needs. She sleeps well in her kennel in our room but let’s us know when she’s ready to get up.

Potty training is still a work in progress. She does well when taken outside, but isn’t a big fan of the frigid cold and is still having occasional accidents indoors. With consistency and patience, she continues to make progress.

Because of her sensitivity, she would likely do best in a patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.

History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of puppies who arrived to rescue with the help of Lightshine Rescue whose efforts are focused on a rural reservation in South Dakota where resources are low.

A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Mitzy. My foster mama also calls me Ditzy and Honey.  I am a tiny little Shepard mix, weighing in just under 10 lbs at 9 weeks. I love wrestling and tumbling with my sister. I am learning to sit but my tail wiggles make it hard to stay there. I am really good about using the training pads. I’m a bit nervous about outside noises so going out there is a work in progress. I am learning to kennel up on my own. I sleep in there all night with no noises until I hear foster mama up and moving around.

I have 2 foster sisters I follow them around watch them play, hoping they’ll let me join in. They think I’m too little, but I really want to play!!

My foster mama has toddler grandkids who come visit. I haven’t learned not to jump on them but they love to get kisses. I calm down quickly so they can pet me and we can snuggle.

I am looking forward to finding my forever home.  Will you be my snuggle bug?

Mrytle

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Weight: 30 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Mrytle is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance from a rural impound out of North Dakota. Myrtle had a cardiology evaluation that showed mild subaortic stenosis and a mild aortic valve leak. At this time, both conditions are mild and not expected to affect her quality of life. Her cardiologist recommends a follow‑up echo when she is around a year old (when she reaches adult size), but no special day‑to‑day care or activity restrictions are needed.

A Note from the Foster: She really loves to go for walks and enjoys both in and outdoors. The snow does not bother her. She actually likes to play in it and sometimes would rather stay out than go in. As a younger dog she is very playful and full of energy. Travels well and does well in or out of her kennel. Occasionally she will complain softly for a minute or two when first put in her kennel. Super friendly and gets along with our other dogs. At first, she can be a little overly playful with some dogs. Don’t know how she would react to cats. She does barks at the rabbits and deer that come into our yard. She has kept her kennel clean and has not had an accident in the house for quite some time. We have a string of bells on the door and she will usually ring them when she wants to go out. Given her early medical concerns we have been a little soft on her but are starting to teach her basic commands to sit and stay.

Breed: Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. We continue to help in these areas as the winter season continues!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Nadia—also known as pretty girl, sweet girl, and the goodest girl—and I can’t wait to meet my forever family! I’ve been with my foster family for about a month now, and I’ve decided that family life is definitely my thing.

I’m 4 months old and around 30 lbs of pure happiness. I’m a sweet, friendly girl who loves everyone I meet. When you talk to me, my little butt wiggles uncontrollably, and I’m always ready to give kisses or snuggle up on the couch at night.

I’m working hard on my manners because I really want to be a good girl - and treats definitely help motivate me! I currently live with a large resident dog and love having a built-in playmate. I also love going for walks, and my foster mom and dad say I’m great at it, I don’t even pull! I’d be thrilled if my forever family enjoyed walks or runs with me, and/or had a big yard where I can zoom around. In the mornings I’m like the energizer bunny but once I get my wiggles out, I settle right in.

Some of my favorite things include playing outside, going for walks, and toys—especially stuffed animal squeaky toys (the squeakier, the better!). At night, I love to snuggle with my head in your lap or tucked against your shoulder. During the day, I hang out in my foster parents’ home office and help them work. They say I’m the perfect coworker—I relax in my bed, stay quiet, and look adorable.

I’ve got potty training mostly figured out as long as I get regular outdoor breaks. I had a few accidents at first, but now I know outside is the place to go. I’m quick about it so I can get back to playing or cuddling! I sleep through the night in my crate (in the same room as my foster parents). While I don’t love daytime crating, I settle after a short protest and take a nice nap.

If you’re looking for a dog who is incredibly sweet, loving, goofy, energetic, and smart, I might just be your perfect match.

Pick me, pick me!! 🐾💖

She loves meeting new people and other dogs. There is an older golden retriever in the home she is learning the best skills from and another puppy that keeps her exercised and entertained.

She is walking good on a leash with a lot of stops to sniff and explore. She enjoys playing in the yard and is learning to come when called. She will sit nice for a treat. She is very playful but also loves cuddling.

Paisley is working on potty training with regular outdoor time. She loves to chew so she needs to be redirected with toys. She is doing really well in her crate.

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

Momma Chai arrived to rescue with her 5 adorable little kiddos and have been doing well in rescue. They are now officially ready to each find forever home of their very own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Peony, but my foster family says I should really be called “Queen of the Goofy Ears.” 👑🐶

I’m a 5-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 25 pounds of pure fun. My most famous features are my giant brown eyes (perfect for convincing humans to share snacks) and my very tall ears that help me hear things like treat bags opening from across the house.

My hobbies include:
• Running around my foster family’s big fenced yard like a tiny athlete
• Making friends with all humans (seriously, I love everyone)
• Playing with other dogs and kids
• Practicing my basic commands so people tell me I’m a “very smart girl”
• Accepting treats for training…and also for existing

I’m currently learning crate training and doing really well with potty training because I’m a fast learner when snacks are involved. 🍖

I haven’t met cats yet, but honestly I love everyone so I’d probably think they’re just weird little dogs.

What kind of home am I looking for?

Pretty much any home that will love me, play with me, and continue teaching me how to be the best dog ever. I promise to provide goofy entertainment, lots of love, and world-class ear modeling in return.

So if you’re looking for a sweet, energetic puppy with the cutest ears in town, I’m ready to pack my toys and move in.

Love,
Peony 🌸

A Note from the Foster: Hello, my name is Pua and I am part of the sidekick’s litter. I am the explorer of the group. I’m always leading everyone to new places or new experiences. I like to discover and experience things.

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Raleigh 🐾

My foster mom says I am a stunning, bundle of joy. A few things about me: I love to run around and play with my toys, the simple things in life get me excited and I just can’t hold it in! I’m an energetic girl who still appreciates a cozy snuggle. My foster mom laughs at me because sometimes I’ll try to jump right in her arms. What can I say? I just love to snuggle and be held. I also love playing with the resident dog in my foster home, he’s a lot bigger than me but we get along just fine. I’m also getting really good at ‘sit’ and will go to my foster mom and sit without being told because I want a yummy treat.

My foster mom also wants me to mention that I sleep through the night in my crate without a peep! Not sure why that’s such a big deal, I love a good nights rest! I’m still working on potty training but getting better every day. After all, I’m still just a puppy.

If you’re looking for a fun loving puppy who just wants to love on her people and be a faithful companion, Raleigh is your girl!

Ruth

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Ruth is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler Mix
Age: DOB: 12/10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

Over a 2 day period of time, starting on Jan 29th, Ruth started to talk “bull-legged” in all legs. The signs progressed to the inability to walk. On Jan 30th, a CBC and chemistry (check liver, kidney, electrolytes, calcium, and phospohrus) was done. This was all normal. X-rays were normal as well. At that time, she was started on an antibiotic (clindamycin) and carprofen (pain med). On Jan 31st, she was seen by a neurologist. A spinal tap was done to check for any infectious or inflammatory causes. She was started on a steroid and pregabalin (pain med) at that time as well. With time, these tests all came back normal or negative. The clindamycin was stopped on Feb 5th since the infectious disease panel was negative. She was then tested for myasthenia graves (a neuromuscular disease). This came back negative as well.

Starting on about Feb 7th, she was able to start walking and as of now (Feb 13th), is back with her littermates and is back to normal. She has. recheck scheduled with the neurologist early March. At this time, we do not have an official diagnosis. She is currently still on prednisone (steroid) 1x a day and the pregabalin still.

A Note from the Foster: We have always known that Shadow is special, but we just learned about another thing that makes her unique!

Shadow was recently diagnosed with Achromatopsia or 'day blindness'.  This condition makes it difficult for her to see in sunlight and in bright lighting.  Her vision is estimated  to be normal at night and in dim lighting.  She has some adorable 'doggles' that she is getting used to wearing on sunny days when the light is reflecting off the snow and making it extra tricky for her.  She also relies on her people to guide her down tricky things like the deck stairs on sunny days.  But don't worry, her gentle nose boops on your leg are just about the sweetest thing ever!

In many ways, Shadow is like any other dog who loves to play and lounge around her home and yard.  She loves her people(adults and kids) and her foster doggy sister!  She is equal parts playful puppy and loyal companion.  She likes to be near her people and doggy sister but also likes her own space to snooze.  She is confident and curious when out on walks in the neighborhood at dusk but she still needs a little time to warm up to unfamiliar people...especially when meeting them in brighter indoor or outdoor settings.

Shadow would love to find a family of night owls...maybe a night dog too, who are willing to wait for her to show her sparkling personality!

History: We recently welcomed an adorable litter of lab mix puppies from a rural overcrowded shelter. They are SO unique and sweet in their own individual ways. They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet this sweet little shadow with the soulful eyes and the cutest head tilt you’ve ever seen 💕

This darling girl is the perfect mix of cuddly companion and curious explorer. She has a gentle, affectionate nature and absolutely adores being close to her people. Whether she’s curling up beside you on the couch, resting her head in your lap, or following you from room to room, her favorite place is wherever you are.

She’s incredibly snuggly and thrives on connection. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Cozy blankets? Even better. She has a soft, calm sweetness about her, but don’t let that fool you—she’s also wonderfully inquisitive! She loves investigating new sounds, exploring the yard, and learning about the world around her.

She’s making fantastic progress with her training. Her potty training is going very well, and she’s learning to communicate when she needs to go outside. She’s also working hard on leash training and is improving each day, happily trotting along and looking to her person for guidance. Crate training is going smoothly too—she settles nicely and is learning that her crate is a safe, cozy space of her own.

This sweet girl would thrive in a home ready to continue her training, shower her with love, and include her in everyday life. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will reward you with endless loyalty, warm snuggles, and a lifetime of joyful companionship.

If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and devoted best friend with a curious spirit and a heart of gold, she’s waiting to meet you. 🐾💕

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Picture it.... Coco's Heart 2026. Meet Sophia! I arrived with my friends Blanche, Dorothy and Rose and have been living with Blanche in my foster home. My average day consists of playing, napping, cuddling and eating (unfortunately NOT cheesecake, but a girl can dream).

I am a young puppy with big bursts of energy and lots of cuddles and kisses to give out. I've been growing quickly and am learning all sorts of new things. The toys here are so fun and I sure have a great time playing with Blanche and the big resident dog - the smaller ones are a bit annoyed by me, so I just stay away from them.

I'm doing an amazing job potty-training! I go outside as soon as I wake up and then my foster mom has me on a pretty strict timer. Blanche and I have only had a handful of accidents combined since arriving - the best part about going outside lots is the TREATS! I also don't mind the snow and cold too much, but I bet warm sunshine on a lanai would be even better!

I sleep in my kennel and keep it nice and clean. I don't mind my crate too much. Sometimes I fuss and pout a bit, but then I settle in and go to sleep. I've slept through the night once or twice (about 6.5 hours). I usually need to get up to use the ladies room in the night once or twice. My foster mom takes me out and then I go back in my crate and go back to bed pretty quickly.

The most important thing for me right now is to stay on my consistent schedule! This helps me understand what is expected of me and makes learning all the new things a dog needs to know easier.

I'd love nothing more than to be your new best friend. I'll even travel down the road and back again with you (with a leash of course). I promise...my heart is true. I'm a pal and a confidant.

Love, the Golden Girl with the wisdom, Sophia

Tiger Lily

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Tiger Lily needed a second chance at a good life and arrived to rescue with the help of Lightshine Rescue whose efforts are focused on a rural reservation in South Dakota where resources are low.

A Note from the Foster: I’m Tiger Lily! I’m a 3.5 month old cutie who loves playing with stuffies, my big brother resident dog, and spending time with my people. I’ve begun potty training and have made great progress! My mom has learned that she really needs to limit my water or I’ll guzzle it down. But if I have water at set times and go out consistently, I’ll hardly have any accidents. I sometimes pee when I get really excited, so we do extra potty before and after play and meeting new people. Its a work in progress, but  I should be a pro in no time!

Some great things about me:

I sleep in my kennel quietly through the night with no accidents! I am an early riser (5:45 am) but my foster mom thinks I’ll sleep longer pretty soon here as I settle in more.

I’m pretty calm and am content just playing with my stuffies or watching what my people are up to, but a dog I can play with and learn from would be great! I feel very safe and relaxed when my foster big brother dog is nearby, especially outside at night where there’s weird noises or shadows. I am pretty tired by evening and love to curl up on the couch with my foster mom for evening tv cuddle time.

I’ve already learned sit, and am pretty good about sitting patiently for doors to open.

I am very gentle with taking treats. I love to nibble on your hands but I do it very softly!

I do spend time in the kennel during the day while my mom works. I’m very vocal about not liking it, so probably no shared walls. I do fall asleep eventually - how long it takes depends on how much play I’ve had. But I’m figuring out these routines and becoming more calm in the kennel each day.

There are no kids or cats in my current foster home, so I’m not yet experienced with them.

My foster mom is so sad she can’t keep me longer, but has too busy of a schedule outside of work over the next month.

Tova

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Tova is a young, vibrant pup with a bold spirit, soulful eyes, and an overflowing heart just waiting to bond with her forever family. She’s been thriving in her foster home for ~6 weeks, and while she’s deeply loved there, she’s more than ready to stop sharing the limelight with her foster sibling and find a place to truly call her own.

Tova enjoys being part of the action and likes having company nearby, whether that’s her humans or her canine pals! She’s confident and curious, happy to tag along, lounge nearby, or jump in when it’s time for fun. Her adventurous side really shines during playtime. Tova isn’t afraid of her 40lb pittie foster sister. She will willingly wrestle her or follow her out in the cold, snow filled back yard!

She currently lives with two dogs, one small and one large and two little kids. So, it’s safe to say she is used to a bit of chaos. 🙃 Tova is working on potty training and will do her business outside when put on a schedule. She has also been using a designated potty area while sleeping in her exercise pen at night.

Tova is already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she’s fully ready to head home.

Puppies don’t stay small forever, and Tova has already changed so much while living in foster care. She deserves a family who will guide her, play with her, and grow alongside her.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, adventurous puppy with soulful eyes and a confident spark, Tova may be your perfect match.

A Note from the Foster: Tuesday is a sweet, soft and loving pup. She and her 4 siblings came from an overcrowded shelter in Texas.  They came without their mom at about 7 weeks of age.  She spends her day snuggling and playing with her litter mates, and is being well socialized by my resident dogs, and lots of visitors.  She loves to be held and get lots of affection.  She is an easy-going pup and naps when she is not playing and exploring. She is not house trained, and has not yet been in a crate due to her young age.

Of note, Australian Cattle dogs/Blue Heelers tend to be high energy dogs, are loyal and are working dogs. They do best in an active household without small kids, and a house that has a fenced yard so they can get lots of exercise. Bonus is a family member that runs and loves to exercise. Please  consider these characteristics when adopting this breed of dog.

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Uri 🐾 — an absolutely lovable beagle-mix puppy with lots of beagle charm!

Uri is a happy, gentle girl who’s a joy to be around. She loves lounging on the couch, playing with her toys, and happily bouncing around in the snow. In her foster home, she lives with two senior dog brothers and is wonderfully polite and respectful with them. She’s playful, sweet, and eager to please.

Uri is doing great with potty training and is a quick learner — especially when treats are involved! She’s already giving verbal cues when it’s time to go outside. She adores tummy rubs, cuddles, and being close to her people, and kids are ok too!

She’s still getting the hang of crate training and prefers the door open, but she’s comfortable resting inside for the evening and hasn’t had any accidents. Ideally, Uri would love to sleep near her humans — whether in her own dog bed or nearby.

Uri would thrive in a home with another dog and people who enjoy including her in daily life. She’s content to quietly relax in her bed while you work, cook, or go about your day. She’s patient, gentle, and not prone to mischief when left alone, making her a wonderful match even for first-time dog owners.

Affectionate, cheerful, and full of love, Uri is ready to find her forever home — could that be with you? 💛🐶

This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!

A Note from the Foster: I know what you’re thinking—"Wait, I thought her mom was small!" It’s true! Biology is full of surprises, and it turns out I’ve got some "big dog" genes that decided to shine. While it was thought I might have more beagle genes in me I’m currently on track to be a sturdy medium-to-large girl, but I promise that just means there is more of me to love, more of me to hug, and more of me to keep your feet warm on the sofa.

I might become a little bigger than an average beagle but I am a total lady when it comes to my manners. I can be a little bashful when we first meet. I’m a "look before you leap" kind of girl, but once I know you’re safe, I'll always be by your side. My favorite hobbies? Lean-ins and lap-time and chewing on a nice toy.

I’m also working really hard on my "adulting" skills!

Potty Training: Doing great! I’m catching on fast.

Crate Training: I find my crate to be a peaceful spot for a nap.

Leash Skills: I’m learning that walks are the best part of the day.

If you're looking for a great snuggle buddy who's always down for an adventure and might just grow as big as my heart, I'm your girl!
