Female Puppies

Alani

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of 2 local heeler puppies who needed a second chance. They arrived to rescue happy and such sweet girls who are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: She is getting used to going to the door when she needs to go potty, yay! She loves to play and has taken a shine to a tug of war rope we got her. She is pretty well behaved besides her puppy crazy puppy times. She likes to chew so we have gotten her crinkly toys and those sorts of things besides the chew bones (not much interest on the chew bones often, more toy oriented) she like slippers so keep those away! She will curl up at your feet (wherever you are) for nap time. She is still learning to walk on a leash, but she doesnt pull, just doesnt walk straight 🤪

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

Ariel had ulnar osteotomy surgery in January 2026 because of concerns with her right front leg. They didn’t find any issues in her elbow joints, but Ariel was starting to develop a condition called radius curvus, which affects the shape of her forearm. Additionally, there was some misalignment in her right elbow due to an abnormal growth plate in her ulna.

While her left forearm looks normal, it still needs to be watched as she grows. Ariel has been recovering well and is now on a specific rehabilitation plan to help her heal and get back to her active lifestyle.

A Note from the Foster: Ariel is a sweet girl with lots of energy, she likes to play and chase her toys all day long! She LOVES chew toys!! She is working on potty training and jumping up. She is kennel trained with a treat incentive to get her in there and some protesting if left in there for long periods. She's a sweet playful girl

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes

House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Bailey, (Bailey, Bailey!) a fun-loving, playful pup who brings a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. She’s soft and cute, yes (!) but she’s also got a wild, goofy side and is always ready for her next adventure. Field trips are her favorite, whether that’s cruising around town or heading out to explore something new. She rides great in the car and makes an excellent co-pilot.

She enjoys meeting new people and happily soaks up attention. Little kids still make her a bit unsure, so she’d do best in a home with adults or older kids who can respect her space while she builds confidence. When it comes to dogs, she loves playing with all the dogs she’s met and definitely with her foster sister. Bailey would thrive with a canine buddy or an active household that can keep up with her energy.

She’s also already nailed one important skill: she’s fantastic at sitting, especially when treats are involved.

This sweet girl does have megaesophagus, a well-managed condition that doesn’t slow her down or stop her from living a happy, full life. It simply means she eats her meals in a special high chair to help her swallow safely which, honestly, is ridiculously adorable. Her routine is established, pretty easy to manage, and she handles it like a champ.

If you’re looking for a pup who’s cute, adventurous, a little chaotic, and endlessly lovable—with a built-in dinner-time photo op—this girl might be your perfect match 🐾💗

A Note from the Foster: Meet Chai 🐾

Chai is a little pup with a big personality. This brave girl isn’t afraid to explore the world around her and is always ready for her next adventure. Curious and confident, she loves checking out new places and discovering everything life has to offer.

Chai is also very social with other dogs and enjoys having playmates around. Whether it’s a game of chase, playful wrestling, or just hanging out together, she thrives with canine friends and would likely love a home with another dog.

Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 01/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Ella 🐾

Ella is a sweet and playful pup who’s ready to find her forever home! She’s doing great on potty training and is already showing how smart and eager to learn she is.

Ella loves to play and has a fun, happy energy that makes her a joy to be around. She gets along wonderfully with both kids and other dogs, making her a great fit for a family or a home with furry friends. She also enjoys going on walks and would love a family that can include her in their daily adventures.

This girl is very food motivated, which makes training a breeze, and she’s currently working on crate training. With a little consistency, she’ll continue to thrive and learn quickly.

After playtime, Ella’s favorite thing is to snuggle up close—she’s a total cuddle bug who loves being near her people!

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and affectionate companion, Ella might be your perfect match!

Ellie

Ellie is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes- would do best w/ another dog
Cat Friendly: Yes
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster:

-She would do great in a home with another dog. My dog isn't particularly playful, but they still get along great and having a confident dog has helped Ellie understand that the world isn't such a scary place.

-Ellie does like to lean/herd my dog, which she doesn't mind but obviously some might.

-She walks great on a leash and is ~90% potty trained. We had one accident her first night and another one today. Today I was in a meeting and not paying attention to her cues, so that was probably my fault. She is fantastic about going outside on a regular schedule.

-She's great on a leash - curious of her surroundings but friendly when people approach us. She does not pull or have to be coaxed anymore to keep it moving.

-She is very food motivated. A slow feeder is a must and she has been very easy to train with treats in hand. She has already learned "sit" and is working on "down" and "come".

-She sadly does not love her kennel so much anymore. She will settle in it and sleep in it when people are around, but kenneling her up and walking away results in puppy/separation tantrums. I've been staying nearby until she settles before walking away.

-She is cat friendly but still a curious puppy. My cat has no problem setting boundaries and she listens to them.

-She has been friendly with all adults. I'm confident that she'd be kid friendly, however, she is a little unaware of her size when she plays, so big kids or teenagers would probably be a better fit than littles.

-She is sometimes afraid of sudden movements/noises, but rebounds to her happy-go-lucky quickly and overall doesn't exhibit any concerning anxiety. I live near MSP and she does fine with freeway noise, plane noise, and the thunderstorm we had last week.

She is still very much a curious puppy that likes to wander and get into things, so should be under constant supervision (especially around shoes and countertops). She is overall a great pup that will make some family very happy to have her.

‍Freesia is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History:  Three adorable littermates, Fiza, Freesia, and Flier needed help from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and arrived to rescue ready to get their second chance. They are each so sweet and unique and hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Freesia! 🌸

Freesia is the cutest little puppy and is thriving in her foster home! She loves playing with toys, chewing on bones, romping outside in the snow, and playing with her 55-lb foster Lab brother.

Like any puppy, she’s still working on potty training — but she has made amazing progress and hasn’t had any #2 accidents in the house! She sleeps in her crate ALL night and goes potty right after being taken out in the morning. She also does great in her puppy playpen — give her some toys and water and she’s happy as can be.

Freesia responds well to treats during training and also loves praise and encouragement. She’s a smart girl who’s eager to learn!

Freesia would thrive in a home where she can cuddle, play, and continue building her confidence. She does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to just about any loving family!

She truly is an amazing puppy who deserves a forever home… maybe that could be yours? 💛

A Note from the Foster: Gigi may be the tiniest of her siblings, but don’t let her size fool you! This little girl is full of heart, courage, and personality. She’s the perfect mix of sweet and spunky, always ready to snuggle up close or dash off on her next mini adventure. Brave and curious, Gigi keeps right up with the bigger pups, showing off her speedy moves and playful spirit.

Gender: Female
Breed: Rottweiler Mix
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed a group of deserving friends recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. They are all settling into foster homes and doing great, each dreaming of finding forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! I’m a 4-month-old foster pup looking for my forever family!🫶🏼

At first, I can be a little shy, but give me a bit of time and I warm up quickly—I promise I turn into your biggest little fan. Once I feel safe, I love people SO much and want to be wherever you are.

I’m a very playful girl and would really love a home with another playful dog who can wrestle with me all day long. I’m still learning how to meet new dogs properly, so I do best with slow introductions—but once I’m comfortable, I’m all in for playtime! I’m also figuring out cats right now🐈‍⬛. I don’t mind them and I respect their space.

I’m still a puppy, so I’m working on potty training! I don’t have any poop accidents👍🏻, but I do still have the occasional pee oopsie. I’m getting better every day though! I’m also warming up to my kennel—sometimes I whine if I hear a lot going on, but otherwise I’m pretty quiet and calm.

I’m a smart girl too!⭐️ I already know “come,” “sit,” and “down,” and I’m working hard on “drop it” and “focus.” I learn really fast, especially when treats are involved… I am VERY food motivated and will do just about anything for a snack.

🌎The big world can still feel a little scary to me sometimes, so I need someone patient who will help me learn that new places, people, and dogs are fun and safe. I promise I want to be brave—I just need a little help getting there.

Oh, and I LOVE my Benebones… like, a LOT. We’re still working on sharing because I think they’re pretty special.🦴

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, smart puppy who just needs a little guidance to shine, I might be your perfect match 🐶✨

Juniper

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Rottweiler Mix (very petite)
Age: Est DOB: 01/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Yes
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently received a plea to help from a rural area where dogs are often found as strays- unclaimed and with no home. Many who are fending for themselves in the midwest elements (cold, heat, etc). They are deserving kiddos who each hope to find a family of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: My name is Juniper aka Chunky, and I sure am spunky!  I’m a pretty petite pup; my foster mom says Rottweiler is unlikely to be a big part of my DNA. 🧬

I love playing hard and then snuggling my people or my big sister Glimmer.  My other sister Cricket doesn’t like puppies, but Mom says that’s her problem, not mine, and she would be lucky to have me as a friend.  Anyway, Cricket told me she didn’t want me in her face, so I don’t bother her anymore.  Isn’t that respectful of me?  Do you know what else I’m respectful of?  Cats! 🐈

I think I would like a house with another dog who likes to play or a big kid (of any age!) to run around with, because I really like getting my exercise!  And I’m good at keeping a loose leash on a walk…although don’t you kind of agree that leashes sometimes look like chew toys?  I love chew toys, by the way!  The squeakier the better! 🐁

I’m quiet and clean when I’m in my crate and sleep through the night.  I don’t make poo messes in there, and I only potty if I have way too much to drink right before bed.🥤

I sure would love to start settling in with my new family this spring!  Could you give me a forever home? 🏡

A Note from the Foster: Magnolia is a happy-go-lucky girl who is just happy to be by your side! She loves being outside and going on walks. She walks pretty well on a leash, we are still working on not pulling and staying calm when we see a squirrel or another dog. She is completely crate trained and does great in her crate overnight. She is also doing great at potty training! Besides 2 small accidents when we first brought her home she is doing well letting us know when she needs to go out. She has such a sweet silly personality, she loves to play and has a lot of energy but when she crashes she crashes HARD. She’s a great mix of playful and calm. I think she would do great in a high energy household or one with another dog or dogs. (:

A Note from the Foster: Mayla is a sweet, sensitive dog who is still learning to feel comfortable in new situations. She can be quite shy when first meeting new people and tends to do best when given time, space, and a calm approach to build trust. Once she feels safe, her personality slowly comes through.

She enjoys playing with our resident dog and would love a home with an older dog to help with her confidence. She also keeps busy with her bones and stuffed toys.

She can be vocal at times, particularly when she’s excited, unsure, or trying to communicate her needs. She sleeps well in her kennel in our room but let’s us know when she’s ready to get up.

Potty training is still a work in progress. She does well when taken outside, but isn’t a big fan of the frigid cold and is still having occasional accidents indoors. With consistency and patience, she continues to make progress.

Because of her sensitivity, she would likely do best in a patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. We continue to help in these areas as the winter season continues!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Nadia—also known as pretty girl, sweet girl, and the goodest girl—and I can’t wait to meet my forever family! I’ve been with my foster family for about a month now, and I’ve decided that family life is definitely my thing.

I’m 4 months old and around 30 lbs of pure happiness. I’m a sweet, friendly girl who loves everyone I meet. When you talk to me, my little butt wiggles uncontrollably, and I’m always ready to give kisses or snuggle up on the couch at night.

I’m working hard on my manners because I really want to be a good girl - and treats definitely help motivate me! I currently live with a large resident dog and love having a built-in playmate. I also love going for walks, and my foster mom and dad say I’m great at it, I don’t even pull! I’d be thrilled if my forever family enjoyed walks or runs with me, and/or had a big yard where I can zoom around. In the mornings I’m like the energizer bunny but once I get my wiggles out, I settle right in.

Some of my favorite things include playing outside, going for walks, and toys—especially stuffed animal squeaky toys (the squeakier, the better!). At night, I love to snuggle with my head in your lap or tucked against your shoulder. During the day, I hang out in my foster parents’ home office and help them work. They say I’m the perfect coworker—I relax in my bed, stay quiet, and look adorable.

I’ve got potty training mostly figured out as long as I get regular outdoor breaks. I had a few accidents at first, but now I know outside is the place to go. I’m quick about it so I can get back to playing or cuddling! I sleep through the night in my crate (in the same room as my foster parents). While I don’t love daytime crating, I settle after a short protest and take a nice nap.

If you’re looking for a dog who is incredibly sweet, loving, goofy, energetic, and smart, I might just be your perfect match.

Pick me, pick me!! 🐾💖

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

Momma Chai arrived to rescue with her 5 adorable little kiddos and have been doing well in rescue. They are now officially ready to each find forever home of their very own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Peony, but my foster family says I should really be called “Queen of the Goofy Ears.” 👑🐶

I’m a 5-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 25 pounds of pure fun. My most famous features are my giant brown eyes (perfect for convincing humans to share snacks) and my very tall ears that help me hear things like treat bags opening from across the house.

My hobbies include:
• Running around my foster family’s big fenced yard like a tiny athlete
• Making friends with all humans (seriously, I love everyone)
• Playing with other dogs and kids
• Practicing my basic commands so people tell me I’m a “very smart girl”
• Accepting treats for training…and also for existing

I’m currently learning crate training and doing really well with potty training because I’m a fast learner when snacks are involved. 🍖

I haven’t met cats yet, but honestly I love everyone so I’d probably think they’re just weird little dogs.

What kind of home am I looking for?

Pretty much any home that will love me, play with me, and continue teaching me how to be the best dog ever. I promise to provide goofy entertainment, lots of love, and world-class ear modeling in return.

So if you’re looking for a sweet, energetic puppy with the cutest ears in town, I’m ready to pack my toys and move in.

Love,
Peony 🌸

Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age

History: We welcomed a group of deserving friends recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. They are all settling into foster homes and doing great, each dreaming of finding forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: 🐾 Hello 🐾 my name is Pitta, like the bird. I’m an adorable 4 month Rottweiler mix.

I am very shy at first but once I get comfortable I’m a very playful, sweet, loving (velcro) puppy. I get along with both resident dogs!  I feel like I will do best with another dog to play with ALL day long! I don’t like being alone so of course I follow my foster mom and dad everywhere they go. I don’t know what personal space is 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just a girl 💕 I’m very food motivated! As I’m learning simple commands like sit, stay, down yummy treats sure do motivate me 🦴

I’m also currently training on how to feel safe in my crate, as it’s very new and a little scary. But my foster mom says it takes me a few minutes for me to settle in and get comfortable in my crate, with lots of love and yummy treats. I have been sleeping through the night in my crate, but I need to be in the same room as you or I get lonely.

I’m still learning how to navigate being on a leash! It’s just so much fun going on walks I need to stop and smell everything!

My foster mom says she’s very proud of me!! I haven’t had an accident in my new foster home but I do have a lot of potty breaks. We are slowly getting my routine down!

We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!

A Note from the Foster: These Astra pups are ready to blast off with your heart! Momma Astra had an amazing litter of 9 that is now getting old enough to be out on their own. This sweet, energetic litter is full of playful personalities and endless love. They adore romping around with their siblings, chasing toys, and soaking up every bit of attention they can get. After playtime, they’re just as happy to curl up for cuddles and give plenty of puppy kisses.

History: Breaking news from the kennel wire: A basket full of Arkansas puppies just completed the most lopsided trade in Minnesota sports history! Heading north to Minnesota in exchange for “future considerations”. The pups arrived, immediately demanded sweaters then signed long-term contracts as professional lap warmers. Arkansas says they’ll miss them; Minnesota says they just upgraded their roster with elite snuggle stats and zero salary cap!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Rossi 💗

With her stunning brindle coat, soft white accents, and those deep, sweet eyes, Rossi is as beautiful as she is gentle. This little girl has a calm, easygoing nature and tends to take in the world thoughtfully before jumping in—she just likes a moment to figure things out.

Once she’s comfortable, her playful and curious side shines. She loves exploring, playing with other pups, and quietly tagging along behind her people—she’ll happily become your little shadow. Rossi is also a top-tier snuggler and enjoys cozying up whenever she gets the chance.

She’s had great exposure to kids and other dogs and does wonderfully, though she can be a bit cautious at first in new situations. Give her a little patience and reassurance, and you’ll see her confidence bloom.

Rossi is the kind of pup who forms a deep, loyal bond and will be right by your side through all of life’s little moments—just waiting for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly hers.

Ruth

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Ruth is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: Heeler Mix
Age: DOB: 12/10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: I am Mayzee’s puppy and was born in rescue!

A beautiful stocky heeler mix named Mayzee arrived to rescue when she was found as a pregnant stray in a very rural area where she was fending for herself with another dog. She arrived to rescue very scared and uncertain of people around her. She had her litter of puppies and her journey with her puppies in rescue have been unique to work towards gaining her trust while helping her with her confidence.

Her puppies are doing well however and are each ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

Heeler and heeler mix dogs are a working dog breed and would thrive best in an active household that is excited to provide lots of physical exercise and go through training. These dogs are very smart and love learning. They do best when they have a job to do and are generally not couch potatoes. They can also make great family pets as long as they are still given the appropriate outlets for their energy and drive. We recommend doing research on the Heeler aka Australian cattle dog breed prior to applying to adopt to ensure they are a good fit for your family.

Over a 2 day period of time, starting on Jan 29th, Ruth started to talk “bull-legged” in all legs. The signs progressed to the inability to walk. On Jan 30th, a CBC and chemistry (check liver, kidney, electrolytes, calcium, and phospohrus) was done. This was all normal. X-rays were normal as well. At that time, she was started on an antibiotic (clindamycin) and carprofen (pain med). On Jan 31st, she was seen by a neurologist. A spinal tap was done to check for any infectious or inflammatory causes. She was started on a steroid and pregabalin (pain med) at that time as well. With time, these tests all came back normal or negative. The clindamycin was stopped on Feb 5th since the infectious disease panel was negative. She was then tested for myasthenia graves (a neuromuscular disease). This came back negative as well.

Starting on about Feb 7th, she was able to start walking and as of now (Feb 13th), is back with her littermates and is back to normal. She has. recheck scheduled with the neurologist early March. At this time, we do not have an official diagnosis. She is currently still on prednisone (steroid) 1x a day and the pregabalin still.

We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: We have always known that Shadow is special, but we just learned about another thing that makes her unique!

Shadow was recently diagnosed with Achromatopsia or 'day blindness'.  This condition makes it difficult for her to see in sunlight and in bright lighting.  Her vision is estimated  to be normal at night and in dim lighting.  She has some adorable 'doggles' that she is getting used to wearing on sunny days when the light is reflecting off the snow and making it extra tricky for her.  She also relies on her people to guide her down tricky things like the deck stairs on sunny days.  But don't worry, her gentle nose boops on your leg are just about the sweetest thing ever!

In many ways, Shadow is like any other dog who loves to play and lounge around her home and yard.  She loves her people(adults and kids) and her foster doggy sister!  She is equal parts playful puppy and loyal companion.  She likes to be near her people and doggy sister but also likes her own space to snooze.  She is confident and curious when out on walks in the neighborhood at dusk but she still needs a little time to warm up to unfamiliar people...especially when meeting them in brighter indoor or outdoor settings.

Shadow would love to find a family of night owls...maybe a night dog too, who are willing to wait for her to show her sparkling personality!

History: We recently welcomed an adorable litter of lab mix puppies from a rural overcrowded shelter. They are SO unique and sweet in their own individual ways. They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet this sweet little shadow with the soulful eyes and the cutest head tilt you’ve ever seen 💕

This darling girl is the perfect mix of cuddly companion and curious explorer. She has a gentle, affectionate nature and absolutely adores being close to her people. Whether she’s curling up beside you on the couch, resting her head in your lap, or following you from room to room, her favorite place is wherever you are.

She’s incredibly snuggly and thrives on connection. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Cozy blankets? Even better. She has a soft, calm sweetness about her, but don’t let that fool you—she’s also wonderfully inquisitive! She loves investigating new sounds, exploring the yard, and learning about the world around her.

She’s making fantastic progress with her training. Her potty training is going very well, and she’s learning to communicate when she needs to go outside. She’s also working hard on leash training and is improving each day, happily trotting along and looking to her person for guidance. Crate training is going smoothly too—she settles nicely and is learning that her crate is a safe, cozy space of her own.

This sweet girl would thrive in a home ready to continue her training, shower her with love, and include her in everyday life. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will reward you with endless loyalty, warm snuggles, and a lifetime of joyful companionship.

If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and devoted best friend with a curious spirit and a heart of gold, she’s waiting to meet you. 🐾💕

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Picture it.... Coco's Heart 2026. Meet Sophia! I arrived with my friends Blanche, Dorothy and Rose and have been living with Blanche in my foster home. My average day consists of playing, napping, cuddling and eating (unfortunately NOT cheesecake, but a girl can dream).

I am a young puppy with big bursts of energy and lots of cuddles and kisses to give out. I've been growing quickly and am learning all sorts of new things. The toys here are so fun and I sure have a great time playing with Blanche and the big resident dog - the smaller ones are a bit annoyed by me, so I just stay away from them.

I'm doing an amazing job potty-training! I go outside as soon as I wake up and then my foster mom has me on a pretty strict timer. Blanche and I have only had a handful of accidents combined since arriving - the best part about going outside lots is the TREATS! I also don't mind the snow and cold too much, but I bet warm sunshine on a lanai would be even better!

I sleep in my kennel and keep it nice and clean. I don't mind my crate too much. Sometimes I fuss and pout a bit, but then I settle in and go to sleep. I've slept through the night once or twice (about 6.5 hours). I usually need to get up to use the ladies room in the night once or twice. My foster mom takes me out and then I go back in my crate and go back to bed pretty quickly.

The most important thing for me right now is to stay on my consistent schedule! This helps me understand what is expected of me and makes learning all the new things a dog needs to know easier.

I'd love nothing more than to be your new best friend. I'll even travel down the road and back again with you (with a leash of course). I promise...my heart is true. I'm a pal and a confidant.

Love, the Golden Girl with the wisdom, Sophia

This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Uri 🐾 — an absolutely lovable beagle-mix puppy with lots of beagle charm!

Uri is a happy, gentle girl who’s a joy to be around. She loves lounging on the couch, playing with her toys, and happily bouncing around in the snow. In her foster home, she lives with two senior dog brothers and is wonderfully polite and respectful with them. She’s playful, sweet, and eager to please.

Uri is doing great with potty training and is a quick learner — especially when treats are involved! She’s already giving verbal cues when it’s time to go outside. She adores tummy rubs, cuddles, and being close to her people, and kids are ok too!

She’s still getting the hang of crate training and prefers the door open, but she’s comfortable resting inside for the evening and hasn’t had any accidents. Ideally, Uri would love to sleep near her humans — whether in her own dog bed or nearby.

Uri would thrive in a home with another dog and people who enjoy including her in daily life. She’s content to quietly relax in her bed while you work, cook, or go about your day. She’s patient, gentle, and not prone to mischief when left alone, making her a wonderful match even for first-time dog owners.

Affectionate, cheerful, and full of love, Uri is ready to find her forever home — could that be with you? 💛🐶

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Ohhh sweet little Vannah banana. We’ve only known her a short time and she’s already given us her heart with open arms—literally—she gives actual hugs! She loooves food, is not a fan of scary plastic bags, and will show you just how tough she is when she’s wrestling her stuffies to the floor. Don’t let her regal looking photographs fool you, she is all playful and cuddly puppy. Her zoomies are the cutest, she uses her paws to talk and play, and her whole body wiggles with excitement for her favorite people!

Vannah is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning green-gold eyes, white patches on her chest and paws, and a brown nose and tail that ombré into a golden tan through her middle. At just 3 months old and already 22 pounds, she’ll likely grow into a big girl—which may not be ideal for her curiosity about what’s on your kitchen counters, but is perfect if you’re looking for a big snuggly napping buddy who can keep up with all of your adventures. She’s also a surprisingly gentle puppy with impressive body awareness, even when she jumps up.

She’s working hard on potty training and learning basic puppy manners, has been sleeping through the night and will stay in her kennel while we’re away. She’s happy to explore her surroundings but she’s happiest when she’s near her people. She’ll also tell you when she doesn’t want to do something! Vannah loves playing with our big dog and kids, and her tail wags anytime a friendly face walks by. She is looking for a forever home where she can get all the attention, exercise, and love she deserves. She’s ready to meet you, make your day and shower you with kisses!

A Note from the Foster: Victoria here!!!

I am 12 weeks old and just a tiny girl.

Need to locate me – look for my adorable big ears!

My coloring is a beautiful fawn/grey and stunning golden eyes!

Foster mommy says I am a ham and a half!  I am a silly girl who’s on the go! I love to play, play, play!  Don’t let the playing fool you, I will make sure to visit you for many kisses and snuggles in the mist of my adventures.  I love chasing my sister Vivian. She may be bigger than me, but guess what, my zoom zooms are way faster!!

I am confident and have learned to tackle the steps going outside, up, and down, with no problem.

Foster mommy says it’s time to be a big girl. That means my sissy Vivian and I must go potty outside. We get paw bumps for trying so hard and doing a great job!  While going potty outside we are also learning to walk on a leash. I don’t mind at all; I go right alongside my foster family.

I like all the new noises and smells outside; it’s so much fun learning!

Vivian and I are learning to sleep in our very own kennels. We still get to be next to each other, but foster mommy says soon we will each have our own forever families.

I am treat motivated and this will be very helpful with my training

I hope to meet my forever family real soon 😊

Love ~ Victoria

A Note from the Foster: ✨ Meet Wednesday: Professional Shadow, Snack Enthusiast, and Tiny Songstress ✨

Looking for a puppy who believes personal space is overrated? 🐾 Wednesday is your girl. This cattle dog mix follows her foster mom everywhere, lives for snuggles, and strongly prefers her humans within eyeshot at all times. Alone time? Hard pass.

Wednesday loves her food (yes, even her veggies🥕), enjoys her kennel as long as the door stays open, and has the cutest way of self‑soothing—soft little nibs and a gentle “song” of sighs and tiny noises that will melt your heart. She’s got a lot to say… just not in a barky way.

She’s still mastering puppy basics and potty training, but she’s already learned to use potty bells (working on consistency—she’s a baby, after all!). With patience, love, and a family who doesn’t mind a constant sidekick, Wednesday is going to be an incredible companion.

💛 If you’re ready for a Velcro puppy with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Wednesday is ready to meet you

Zena

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Zena needed a second chance at a good life and arrived to rescue with the help of Lightshine Rescue whose efforts are focused on a rural reservation in South Dakota where resources are low.

A Note from the Foster: Meet Zena!
Zena is a spunky, joyful pup looking for a home where she can run, play, and keep the good times rolling. Since arriving in rescue, she’s been living it up with her foster dog brother and two cat roommates — and she’s gotten along wonderfully with every dog and person she’s met.

Zena has plenty of that classic puppy energy, so an active home would be a great match for her. She loves zooming around the yard, exploring on walks, and joining in on whatever fun the day brings. She’s still learning her manners, especially remembering not to jump up when she’s excited to say hello, but she’s eager to learn and very treat motivated.

Potty training is coming along, and she does best when kept on a consistent routine to help her remember when it’s time to go out. She’s also practicing her leash skills — the world is such an exciting place, and she wants to take it all in!

Zena isn’t the biggest fan of the kennel, but with treats and a quiet space, she settles in just fine. She listens well, usually comes when called, and genuinely wants to please.

If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion who’s ready to learn, explore, and love big, Zena just might be your girl.

Adoption Status: Pending

Zoey is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

A Note from the Foster: Zoey is a wonderful seven-month-old French Bulldog we have been fostering for the past two weeks following her release from a breeder.

Zoey has been a fantastic addition to our home and gets along well with both adults and young children. She is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. While she had a few initial potty accidents upon arrival, she is doing very well with consistent attention to her cues. We are currently working on her recall commands and helping her feel more comfortable in her kennel while we are away.

She is truly a gem, and while we would love to adopt her ourselves but our upcoming summer schedule with youth sports will not allow us to give her the full attention she deserves. If you are looking to adopt a French Bulldog, she would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!
