Ellie

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 08/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed a litter of lab mix puppies from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and they arrived to rescue SO sweet, although a bit timid at first. They are settling in well and are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Ellie is a 4½-month-old scruffy lab/terrier mix with a constantly wagging tail and the sweetest, softest heart. She currently weighs about 21 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized adult (around 40–45 lbs).

Ellie may be a little shy at first, but she is making wonderful progress every day. She has started accepting and enjoying pets, and once she feels safe, her gentle, loving personality shines through. Her tail tells the story — it’s almost always wagging!

She is very interested in the other dogs in her foster home and would likely thrive with a friendly canine companion to help boost her confidence and show her how great being a dog can be. Ellie loves watching, learning, and quietly joining in. Another dog is not required as long as she continues to be socialized as she grows and learns!

Ellie would do best in a home that offers patience, kindness, and encouragement, where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. In return, she promises loyalty, sweetness, and the kind of love that grows deeper every day.

✨ Sweet, gentle, and blossoming — Ellie is ready for her forever family. ✨

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
