Nadia

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 09/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. We continue to help in these areas as the winter season continues!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Nadia—also known as pretty girl, sweet girl, and the goodest girl—and I can’t wait to meet my forever family! I’ve been with my foster family for about a month now, and I’ve decided that family life is definitely my thing.

I’m 4 months old and around 30 lbs of pure happiness. I’m a sweet, friendly girl who loves everyone I meet. When you talk to me, my little butt wiggles uncontrollably, and I’m always ready to give kisses or snuggle up on the couch at night.

I’m working hard on my manners because I really want to be a good girl - and treats definitely help motivate me! I currently live with a large resident dog and love having a built-in playmate. I also love going for walks, and my foster mom and dad say I’m great at it, I don’t even pull! I’d be thrilled if my forever family enjoyed walks or runs with me, and/or had a big yard where I can zoom around. In the mornings I’m like the energizer bunny but once I get my wiggles out, I settle right in.

Some of my favorite things include playing outside, going for walks, and toys—especially stuffed animal squeaky toys (the squeakier, the better!). At night, I love to snuggle with my head in your lap or tucked against your shoulder. During the day, I hang out in my foster parents’ home office and help them work. They say I’m the perfect coworker—I relax in my bed, stay quiet, and look adorable.

I’ve got potty training mostly figured out as long as I get regular outdoor breaks. I had a few accidents at first, but now I know outside is the place to go. I’m quick about it so I can get back to playing or cuddling! I sleep through the night in my crate (in the same room as my foster parents). While I don’t love daytime crating, I settle after a short protest and take a nice nap.

If you’re looking for a dog who is incredibly sweet, loving, goofy, energetic, and smart, I might just be your perfect match.

Pick me, pick me!! 🐾💖

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
