Gigi

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 02/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Gigi may be the tiniest of her siblings, but don’t let her size fool you! This little girl is full of heart, courage, and personality. She’s the perfect mix of sweet and spunky, always ready to snuggle up close or dash off on her next mini adventure. Brave and curious, Gigi keeps right up with the bigger pups, showing off her speedy moves and playful spirit.

She’s also a smart cookie who already has potty pad training down flawlessly. Whether her foster mom is at work or everyone is settling in for the night, Gigi does an excellent job using her pad and then curling back up in her crate to sleep peacefully.

Gigi plays hard, loves deeply, and brings a joyful energy wherever she goes. With her striking eyes and irresistibly cute face, she’ll win you over in seconds, but it’s her big personality in that tiny body that will truly steal your heart.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
