History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A note from the foster: Arnie is a confident, regal orange beauty with just the right amount of sass, who enjoys being with her people. She has a fun personality, and also starting to show her affectionate side. Not a big talker, she is more of a soft, dainty “squeaker”. Currently living with a cat and two dogs, she mostly minds her own business. Arnie could live with other pets, or be happy as an only cat. Looking for a bold, charming girl with star power? Arnie’s your match.

History and a Note from the Foster: Griffin was born outside in Spring 2025 with his brothers Amaru and Bagheera, and caught and brought inside in November 2025. He's been staying in foster care with his brothers since.
He is the cutest, softest, sweetest boy ever. He's still timid around too much activity and noise and new people, but once he learns he can trust you, he is all pets and nudges and purrs. He absolutely loves face rubs and butt scritches. He isn't as adventurous as his brother Amaru, but he loves to play and get pets and love. He's the absolute sweetest thing with the cutest little face. Once he settles into the right home and knows he's safe and loved he will really blossom.
He is perfectly trained with the litter box and has not destroyed anything in the house.
He would be a great fit to a quieter house. He would love to go to a home with one of his brothers, but can likely be adopted alone as well.

History and A note from the foster: *recommend adopting with sister, or with another active cat in the home
Pot and Kettle arrived to us back in October as wee kittens! Shortly after arrival we realized they had ringworm. Ringworm is not a worm as the name suggests, it’s a fungus that causes itchy, scaly patches on the skin and can cause hair loss. This is a zoonotic fungus meaning other animals as well has humans can get it, so extra caution had to be given in the foster home. This was not physically harmful to them; it just required a lot of extra cleaning, weekly medicated baths, meds, and mostly time. Because it takes some time to resolve, they’ve been under strict quarantine. They are now ringworm free and ready to find their happily ev-fur after!
They are the sweetest girls, and I am so glad they’ve had one another to rely one as they got through their treatments. Because they must be more sequestered to avoid the whole house getting ringworm, they are very eager to explore, meet the other cats, and people. They are going to LOVE having a whole house to roam, play, and nap. They are professional eaters, especially for wet food! They’ve started to be super interested in the sink and how this magical device is not only fun but provides the sacred water. They use their box like a pro. They are proper ladies’ sans the moments when the kitten goblin takes over and they have to get some energy out. But after that, right back to prim and proper ladies. Since they’ve been in rescue, I may have heard a handful of ‘mews’, I don’t know what their real strong meow sounds like! Because they’ve been through so much together and have only had each other as playmates, it’s important that they either go together, or into a home that has another playful cat. They have kitten energy and do a great job entertaining each other, so they would really like someone to play with in their fur-ever home.
Whoever adopts these girls are in for a special time – I think they are going to be just amazing cats. Plus, they are adorable black house panthers.

History: Lady is a stunning polydactyl DMH mix who went unclaimed at a local impound and arrived to rescue where she quickly warmed our hearts. She is so sweet and friendly and is hoping to find her forever home soon!
A note from the foster: She is so social and loves snuggles on her own terms. She sits in Ben’s lap and sleeps while he works, and will come join us on the couch as well. She likes playing with toys, too. She still has her nails, but is great about retracting them and is fantastic at getting them clipped. She is fully litter box trained, and is great in the car! She is definitely warming up to our dog and is progressively getting more comfortable near him. She also doesn’t shed much, which is a plus for us!
If we were looking to welcome a cat into our family, we would for sure keep her 😂 she is such a gem!

History: Noel has been diagnosed by ultrasound with feline triaditis. This is a multi organ disease that includes inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, and cholangiohepatits. In laymen’s terms, she has inflammation of the intestines (IBD). This is thought to be the start of the problem as a whole, inflammation of the pancreas and liver + / - the bile ducts. This can also include a bacterial component as well.
At this time, she is doing well. We are treating Noel with a hydrolyzed protein diet to try and control the likely underlying cause of IBD. We have also started her on Prednisolone to help bring down the inflammation of the intestines, pancreas, and live. Long term, we would expect to control her problems with the special diet and then prednisolone if and when she has flare-ups. The common signs one may see are vomiting and inappetence.
A note from the foster: Noel was found just before Christmas, sick and in need of urgent care. Thanks to Coco’s Heart and veterinary support, she is steadily recovering and ready to find her special person/family and loving home that she deserves. She has won the hearts of everyone she meets with her friendly nature and affectionate purrs. She is a very sweet and petite kitty weighing a little over 5 lb. but working on gaining weight and strength each day.
Noel loves to be near her people and would love nothing more than to cuddle on your chest or next to you on a fuzzy, warm blanket. We have a four-year-old male cat that she has been co-existing with, and pretty much ignores. I think she would be fine in a home with another cat with the right temperament. She is revealing a playful side with interest in toys, and I am hoping this will continue with time. Mostly, she needs a quiet environment and a space to get away from hustle and bustle if needed. We have two dogs that were very interested in her at first but quickly learned to respect her space. I have noticed that she will not come around as much if they are near, such as watching a movie or relaxing. They are medium-large size and seem to intimidate her, although she has learned to stand her ground. She is a Tortie after all! A calm or smaller dog companion would be a better fit due to her size and health journey. Extra stress is not the best for this little lady.
Noel shows me how grateful she is at a second chance each day with her lovable personality. She is headed in the right direction at 12 years old and hoping for someone special to take care of her and spoil her. She does not ask for much-just love and some gentle head rubs.

History: We received a plea from a local animal control impound about Petey the cat looking for rescue! A wonderful foster home of ours picked him up and brought him home shortly after. He is a handsome hunky boy who is looking to find his forever home soon!
A note from the foster: This big, hunky tabby is a combination of sweet with a little spice. He’s affectionate, loves attention, and enjoys being close to his people—but he’s also got some sass and likes his boundaries respected. He gets along well with the resident cat with proper introductions, however he is not a fan of the resident dogs, and would prefer a dog-free home. He’s a really cool cat. If you’re looking for a charming boy with lots of personality and love to give, he’s your guy. 💛

History: We recently welcomed three local cats into rescue. They are working on their socialization and doing well overall. They are each hoping to find a forever home of their own soon!
A note from the foster: Rufus is adjusting well to life indoors. He is curious and loves to play with or without a friend. Often he entertains himself with his discoveries - legos, socks, golf balls. It is entertaining to watch. He seeks attention when he wants it and politely meows at dinner time. He gets along well with other cats and after some apprehension coexists with a dog.

History: We received a plea to help an adorable group of young cats who needed a second chance at a good life. They arrived to rescue eager to start their journeys in finding their forever homes!
Tookins- has 2 congenital abnormalities to make sure are noted.
-Mild tricuspid valve insufficiency
-Mild renal dysplasia
She does not need any medications or special diets at this time. She should have her heart echoed again in 1 year, and possibly yearly after that. She should also have her kidney values and a urine checked every 6 months to monitor her kidneys as she is at risk for developing renal disease with her kidneys being abnormal.
A note from the foster: Tookins is SUCH a sweet and loving girl! She's been friendly and social since the moment I brought her home. She likes to lay on me on the couch and sleeps next to me in bed. Also, she often touches my face so sweetly with her paw and it melts my heart. Tookins has beautiful, unique markings and very soft fur. She also does well riding in the car in a kennel.
Tookins plays with toys a bit. One of her favorites is the round track with the ball and the scratching mat inside. She's also been a hoot to watch as she bats around a strip of fleece or a small stuffed mouse. Lately she's been getting the zoomies from time to time which is also pretty fun to watch!
She has done well with the small dogs in the house. They don't snuggle or play much, but they're all very comfortable around each other. I also had a very shy foster kitten for a couple weeks at the start. The kitten loved Tookins, but it took her much of the time to warm up to the kitten. She preferred to roam the house with the dogs, although towards the end I'd find her laying on the futon next to the catio (where the kitten was).
Tookins is carrying some extra weight, so I'm careful about measuring her food and avoiding extra treats. Our vet team also found that she has a heart murmur and some slightly abnormally-formed kidneys. Luckily both issues are very mild at the moment and not causing any problems or needing medication. However, her kidneys may put her at a higher risk for developing early renal disease. She'll need bloodwork and a urinalysis done every 6 months to monitor her kidneys so any changes can be caught and addressed right away. She'll also need yearly echocardiograms to monitor her heart, and again catch any issues early on. We understand that not all families will feel comfortable committing to these regular tests for the duration of her life, and that's ok. I know there's a perfect family out there for her that will, and I'm happy to keep loving on her till we find them. She's only two years old and deserves the best chance we can give her at a long and healthy life!

History: We recently welcomed three local cats into rescue. They are working on their socialization and doing well overall. They are each hoping to find a forever home of their own soon!
A note from the foster: Xavier is a big love of a cat. He is shy and nervous at first, but when he warms up he is a cuddle bug. After being initially hesitant about being picked up, he now enjoys the closeness a little snuggle brings him to people. He is eager for attention and frequently rolls around on his back looking for belly rubs. However, you can't let his mellow demeanor fool you. He is an active toy player, eager to chase anything attached to a string.
