A Note from the Foster: Cruiser is such a sweet and curious guy. Fiercely independent, but wants to know what is going on around him. He is starting to enjoy pets and cuddles on his terms, and will seek the fosters out to talk when hungry or being something. He loves to play, both independently or with one of the other cats in the home, and can get quite silly with his play. He is also quite helpful, always having to oversee the litter box being cleaned, and will point out issues. He does well with other cats and dogs, and with kids who can stick to boundaries.

A Note from the Foster: Hi! I'm Jack, or "jack-jack" as I'm often called. While my brother may be shy, my foster Mom tells me I don't have a shy bone in my body. I've also been labeled as fearless, as I am willing to try anything to get what I want. This may have led to me briefly spraining my front foot, but no worries, I feel just fine now. I think my brother may have taken all the fear I should have, so I make sure to look out for him. I like to sometimes cuddle with my foster mom when napping, but my favorite place to nap is with either the resident cat or my brother. I like to be with others, and will cry if left alone. I'd do best in a home with other cats or small humans. I do well with chaos, as I may be the cause of it at times. My foster mom says its a good thing I'm so cute.

History: We received a plea to help an adorable group of young cats who needed a second chance at a good life. They arrived to rescue eager to start their journeys in finding their forever homes!
Tookins- has 2 congenital abnormalities to make sure are noted.
-Mild tricuspid valve insufficiency
-Mild renal dysplasia
She does not need any medications or special diets at this time. She should have her heart echoed again in 1 year, and possibly yearly after that. She should also have her kidney values and a urine checked every 6 months to monitor her kidneys as she is at risk for developing renal disease with her kidneys being abnormal.
A note from the foster: Tookins is SUCH a sweet and loving girl! She's been friendly and social since the moment I brought her home. She likes to lay on me on the couch and sleeps next to me in bed. Also, she often touches my face so sweetly with her paw and it melts my heart. Tookins has beautiful, unique markings and very soft fur. She also does well riding in the car in a kennel.
Tookins plays with toys a bit. One of her favorites is the round track with the ball and the scratching mat inside. She's also been a hoot to watch as she bats around a strip of fleece or a small stuffed mouse. Lately she's been getting the zoomies from time to time which is also pretty fun to watch!
She has done well with the small dogs in the house. They don't snuggle or play much, but they're all very comfortable around each other. I also had a very shy foster kitten for a couple weeks at the start. The kitten loved Tookins, but it took her much of the time to warm up to the kitten. She preferred to roam the house with the dogs, although towards the end I'd find her laying on the futon next to the catio (where the kitten was).
Tookins is carrying some extra weight, so I'm careful about measuring her food and avoiding extra treats. Our vet team also found that she has a heart murmur and some slightly abnormally-formed kidneys. Luckily both issues are very mild at the moment and not causing any problems or needing medication. However, her kidneys may put her at a higher risk for developing early renal disease. She'll need bloodwork and a urinalysis done every 6 months to monitor her kidneys so any changes can be caught and addressed right away. She'll also need yearly echocardiograms to monitor her heart, and again catch any issues early on. We understand that not all families will feel comfortable committing to these regular tests for the duration of her life, and that's ok. I know there's a perfect family out there for her that will, and I'm happy to keep loving on her till we find them. She's only two years old and deserves the best chance we can give her at a long and healthy life!
