A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Walter 🐶
I’m a 7-month-old lab mix with a big personality, a bigger heart, and endless curiosity.
I’m fully potty trained (gold star ⭐️), and I’m crushing sit and shake. Other commands like stay, down, and leave it? I know them… I just like to think about my options first. I’m very intelligent, a little stubborn, and extremely food motivated—which means I’ll absolutely thrive with consistent training (especially if snacks are involved). I just know I’d be the teacher’s pet in a training class.
My ideal home is an active one—I love daily walks and take tug-of-war very seriously, but I’m equally serious about conking out for a solid nap or two. After dinner, I just want to snuggle, and when the clock strikes 6 pm, I’m ready for my calming tunes and lights out. I even sleep through the night in my own room like a very good boy.
I’m a total social butterfly who loves people and other dogs. I haven’t met any little humans or cats yet, so those are still a mystery. I don’t bark much—mostly just outside or when I’m feeling extra excited to play. I definitely prefer having company and would love a home where I’m not flying solo all the time.
I live for snuggles, squeaky toys, and being wherever you are. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, and well-mannered puppy who will keep you laughing and very loved, I might just be your perfect match.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
