History: Viktor is an adorable dog who needed a second chance at a good life. Once stuck in an overpopulated breeding cycle, they now have a chance at finding a forever home with a lucky family and hope to find them soon!
A Note from the Foster: Viktor is a 6 month old pug from a breeder release who is quickly becoming one of our favorite fosters. He was one of the quieter dogs when we picked him up from Cocos but is very quickly coming out of his shell and we are starting to see more of the typical playful puppy side.
He loves men and women equally, loves other dogs and loves kids (we have a 10 and 13 year old). He is starting to play with toys and has started doing zoomies around the house.
He sleeps quietly in his kennel at night but is a little more vocal during the day when we kennel him to work. He loves being near people :)
He hasn’t figured out how to go up or down stairs yet but is curious about them!
He doesn’t like to be picked up (runs away and is squirmy) but enjoys being pet and especially loves scratches on his stomach, his ears and under his chin & is stating to learn how to snuggle more in our laps.
He’s a bit more skittish outside so we double leash and hes learning how to potty train. (We’ve only had him a short time and he’s working hard on that each day).
He hasn’t had his intake exam or full vaccinations yet so we haven’t had a chance to take him on a walk yet but are training him on a leash in our yard.
We have loved having our first pug foster and Viktor has set the bar high for future pugs :) He’s so exited to meet his new family and will make a wonderful addition to any home!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
