History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
This adorable litter arrived to rescue with their mom, Astra (already adopted!) who is a 30-ish pound beagle mix with an amazing and social personality!
A Note from the Foster: I know what you’re thinking—"Wait, I thought her mom was small!" It’s true! Biology is full of surprises, and it turns out I’ve got some "big dog" genes that decided to shine. While it was thought I might have more beagle genes in me I’m currently on track to be a sturdy medium-to-large girl, but I promise that just means there is more of me to love, more of me to hug, and more of me to keep your feet warm on the sofa.
I might become a little bigger than an average beagle but I am a total lady when it comes to my manners. I can be a little bashful when we first meet. I’m a "look before you leap" kind of girl, but once I know you’re safe, I'll always be by your side. My favorite hobbies? Lean-ins and lap-time and chewing on a nice toy.
I’m also working really hard on my "adulting" skills!
Potty Training: Doing great! I’m catching on fast.
Crate Training: I find my crate to be a peaceful spot for a nap.
Leash Skills: I’m learning that walks are the best part of the day.
If you're looking for a great snuggle buddy who's always down for an adventure and might just grow as big as my heart, I'm your girl!
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
