Thursday

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Cattle Dog Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Thursday is a sweet, soft and loving pup. He and his 4 siblings came from an overcrowded shelter in Texas.  They came without their mom at about 7 weeks of age.  He spends her day snuggling and playing with her litter mates, and is being well socialized by my resident dogs, and lots of visitors.  He loves to be held and get lots of affection.  He is an easy-going pup and naps when he is not playing and exploring. He is not house trained, and has not yet been in a crate due to his young age.

Of note, Australian Cattle dogs/Blue Heelers tend to be high energy dogs, are loyal and are working dogs. They do best in an active household without small kids, and a house that has a fenced yard so they can get lots of exercise. Bonus is a family member that runs and loves to exercise. Please  consider these characteristics when adopting this breed of dog.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
