History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: Thor is a gem. This sweet and loving young guy continues to learn and grow during his time in rescue. Thor enjoys being with the people (young and old) and dogs in his foster home. He especially loves the kids in his foster home (ages 12 and 9). His favorite place is wherever you are!
Thor is curious and eager to please. He is working on his manners in the house, as sometimes his curiosity gets the best of him, especially where counters are concerned. He corrects easily and is food motivated. Thor is working on his leash manners and basic obedience. He currently knows his name, sit and come. Thor is doing great with potty training with a schedule and sleeps quietly in his kennel through the night. With consistent practice, Thor will continue to learn new skills and be a wonderful companion for any home!
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
