Teddy

Adoption Status: Pending

I am available as a foster to adopt!

Gender: Male
Breed: Chihuahua & Mini Poodle Mix (best guess)
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Teddy, a tiny bundle of joy. He has just the right combination of puppy playfulness and cuddliness. He is very smart and quickly learned to climb the steps to the chair so he can join the resident poodles on his foster mom’s lap. He is somewhat of a Velcro dog and follows his foster mom everywhere. He loves the resident poodles and they are learning to love him too because of his quiet and gentle persistence.

He is doing very well with potty training but has not mastered it. He sleeps quietly in his kennel all night and keeps it clean. However the second he hears his foster mom and the resident poodles stir, he makes it known that he is ready to get out and enjoy the day. He has not had a lot of experience with the leash but I am confident he will master that quickly. So far he has not met any children but given his friendly personality I am sure he will do well with them as long as they are calm and respectful of his tiny size. He will bring so much joy to someone and is excited to meet his forever family.

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
