Sol

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

‍Sol is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Male
Breed: Malamute Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Sol, aka Little Baby Boy, is a great puppy!

His mama is a Malamute, not sure about daddy, but he’s growing really fast, looks like he’s going to be a big boy when he grows up!

Sol has quite the personality, the sweetest, funniest boy.  Just wants to be around his humans and play tug-of-war & get lots of lovin’, he’s a total foodie too—so whatever you want to share with him is perfect!

He loves nap time, going for walks in the woods, learning new things, rides in the car, and playing with his foster brother & sister.

He’s got a real solid temperament and great attitude.

Currently learning how to ask to go outside when it’s time, getting better every day!

Learning to walk on a leash with a harness, doing really well!

We have learned that Sol really knows what he wants out of life, and he has no problem letting you know how much he dislikes being in a kennel.  He would have his best life at a home where he does not need to be kenneled.  He’s a free spirit and can be trusted to be loose in the house, vehicle and yard.

He’s super curious and loves roaming around the house checking things out, he’s really good at finding lost socks and likes to bring them to the owner in exchange for one of his toys!

He has not been around cats or little kids yet, but he’s not overly excitable and doesn’t seem to have a high prey drive, so I think he would adjust just fine.

Definitely a relaxing type dude with some puppy zoomies once in a while.

Sol really wants to find his forever family and bond with them while he’s still a little baby, he can’t wait to meet you!

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
