Sir Lenny

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Pointer Mix
Age: Est DOB: 01/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Sir Lenny is learning and growing so much in his foster home. He was timid at first but opened up quickly, revealing a playful, intelligent personality that still loves cuddle time and plenty of belly rubs.

Lenny is making great progress in all things puppy! He is quiet and content in his crate overnight and settles in well during the day when his foster family is busy or out running errands.

He’s doing wonderfully with potty training. While he still has occasional accidents (often due to timing), but goes right away when taken outside. He’s been on several walks and is improving quickly with leash manners.

Lenny loves playing with his foster brother—whether it’s running around the yard, trading toys, or just happily playing side by side. After he burns off his energy, he’s more than ready to curl up for a nap. While he’s perfectly content in his crate, he’d much rather be snuggled up in your arms.  He’s already picking up on basic commands like sit, come, and down, and seems eager to learn more. This smart pup is definitely a quick study.

All in all, Sir Lenny would thrive in an active home that can keep his mind and body engaged. He’d love a playmate or a yard to run in—and a family ready to continue helping him grow into his best self.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
