History: Silver Fox is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Silver Fox 🦊 also known as “Foxy”— At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, this poodle is already proving to be one smart cookie.
Like a fox learning the lay of the land, Silver Fox is doing well going potty outside consistently in a fenced yard, but may still have accidents as he continues to learn and adjust to life in a home. He has started leash training and so far is picking it up, but will need to continue to build confidence.
Silver Fox gets along well with other dogs, but if he had his way, he’d be the only pup in the den, soaking up all the love and attention from his favorite human. He’s happiest when he can shadow you from room to room, loyally following along like your own little woodland companion.
Crate training has also been going well. As long as Silver Fox can see you, he sleeps through the night without a peep! He keeps his “den” neat and has no accidents in it. However during the day, if Silver Fox is crated and can’t see you or is left alone, he does bark but eventually settles down.
Because Silver Fox is a poodle, he will require grooming every 4-8 weeks or so depending on growth to keep his curly hair nice and fresh looking!
He thrives with older or dog-savvy children who understand his sensitive side.
Playtime is another one of his favorite things, especially when crinkle toys are involved! He loves engaging his curious mind and playful spirit, making him a delightful mix of gentle companion and lively entertainer.
While he can sometimes be a bit skittish—he warms up with patience and kindness. Once he feels safe, his true personality shines: incredibly sweet, affectionate, and always ready to roll over for tummy rubs.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
