History: Silas is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Silas ✨ — a 3-year-old Mini Poodle with a playful personality and a curious spirit who is just starting to discover how wonderful life in a home can be.
At around 3 years old, Silas is still learning the routines of being a beloved house pup. He is currently working on potty training and doing well with consistency, but like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, he may still have occasional accidents as he continues to learn.
Silas is also working on leash training and is getting more comfortable exploring the world one step at a time. He enjoys walks and sniffing around, taking in all the sights and smells that come with his new adventures.
If Silas had it his way, playtime would be on the schedule every day! He absolutely loves being around other dogs and will happily bark to let them know he’s ready to play. His playful energy makes him a great match for a home with another friendly dog who enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling.
Even though he loves to play, Silas also has a sweet and affectionate side. He is a bit nervous at first, but is learning people are safe and is starting to give little kisses here and there.
Because Silas is a poodle, he will need regular grooming every 4–8 weeks to keep his curly coat looking and feeling its best.
Silas is looking for a patient and loving home that will continue helping him build confidence as he learns the routines of family life. With time, consistency, and lots of love, he will blossom into a loyal and joyful companion.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
