History: Reggie Ray is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Reggie Ray is a charming 5-year old pug who is learning to lean in and enjoy the comfortable parts of life. As a former breeder dog, Reggie is still learning about all of the typical “dog” things, but he’s building confidence and comfort with the spoiled life each day. A guy who started out shaking in the back of his kennel when his foster parents approached, to a dog who wiggles his whole body each morning just dying for his kennel gate to be opened.
Reggie Ray has the cutest, snorty little personality. He’s a curious guy who is taking his time exploring his foster home and getting to know all of the cozy corners and funny noises. Reggie is a sniff connoisseur -- he loves to travel around the entire backyard and find all of the good sniffs of the day! Most days, Reggie spends a good chunk of time playing with toys, exploring his foster home, and playing in the yard with his foster dog siblings! Reggie Ray would definitely benefit from having another confident dog in the house to show him all of the finer things in life.
Reggie Ray loves his crate and views it as his safe space -- he loves to cozy up inside, eat a snack, or lounge and watch his foster family go about their day from his cozy castle. He sleeps well in his kennel and keeps it clean whenever he’s inside of it! Reggie Ray is doing well with structured and consistent potty breaks, but will need further consistency to reach 100% and take on the title of a potty-trained guy. Reg is still working on confidence building, so leash skills and basic obedience have yet to be tackled, but his foster family is confident that he’ll continue to make small, bouncy-pug leaps of progress each day!
Sweet Reggie communicates through the cutest little pug snorts & grunts, and it’s easy to know how he’s feeling. He’s at his happiest when you can see his tail in a perfect little curly swirl! A perfect family for Reg includes folks who are willing to help him learn that he is safe & loved and who will be patient while showing him that he deserves to take up space within a home. With consistency, care, and a watchful & loving eye, Reggie will continue to blossom into a dog who can definitely learn new tricks!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
