History: Rambo is a striking young dog with a lot of love to offer the right environment. He thrives with consistency and a confident adopter as well as being the only dog in the home. He likely was not set up for success as a young puppy and never learned those fundamentals in sharing :) Because of this, a non-kid home is also recommended. He is a great boy and with the right family will be a wonderful addition to the family!
A Note from the Foster: Hey there, I'm Rambo! I'm the friendliest guy around and love everyone I meet! If you want to win my love right away when you meet me, I'd highly recommend giving me some booty scratches. They're my absolute favorite!
I'm a pretty chill guy most of the time, I like to chew on a bone or lounge around and look out the window. When I get the zoomies though, it is full steam ahead! 🚂 I will have a few bursts of playful energy per day, including a lot of play bows and invitations to play tug with me. (I will win) I'm also big on handshakes since I'm such a distinguished gentleman.
I know "sit" and I take treats very gently. I willingly go into my kennel where I sleep at night and whenever my foster mom can't supervise. I am still working on my leash manners because I'm just a big dude who's interested in sniffing. No accidents in the house and I ask to go outside when I need to!
When it comes to other dogs, I'm not usually a fan. There might be some out there that I could learn to co-exist with but for the most part I prefer to be the one and only in your life.
Do I sound like the dog for you? I can't wait to meet you!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
