Pedginsky

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Mini Poodle
Age: DOB: 08/2018
Weight: 11 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes- needs another dog in the home
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: In Progress

History: Pedginsky is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome who is working on his trust and confidence and hopes to find his forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Pedginsky, whom we call Ginsky or Gin for short, is a shy, gentle guy who is still learning what it means to live a “normal” dog life. He’s a work‑in‑progress pup who will need a patient, understanding family willing to let him move at his own pace.

Pedginsky is building his confidence day by day. He’ll come close for treats and enjoys being near his people, but he isn’t comfortable with hands-on affection yet and does not like being held. He startles easily, especially with unexpected noises, and will retreat to safety when he feels unsure. Because of this, he does best with calm, predictable routines.

Pedginsky is currently working on house training and is doing best with supervision and consistency. Outside, he enjoys following his person around the fenced yard, though sudden sounds can spook him and send him back toward the door. He is not a bold explorer yet, but he getting braver each day.

Inside the house, he has a puppy pen that serves as his safe space. Even with the door open, he often chooses to relax there, which shows how important having a designated “comfort zone” is for him.

He gets along well with other dogs and would truly benefit from living with a confident, friendly canine companion who can help show him the ropes and boost his confidence.

Pedginsky is looking for a patient, dog‑savvy home that understands shy dogs and will celebrate small wins. He may not be the dog who runs up for cuddles right away, but for the right family, earning his trust will be incredibly rewarding.

Note: Pedginsky's neuter surgery and dental cleaning is scheduled for May 15th and he'll be ready to join his forever family a few days after that.

Adoption Fee: $510 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
