History: Pawblano Popper is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome who is working on his trust and confidence and hopes to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi friends! My name is Pawblano Popper, but my foster family calls me Pablo for short.
I’m a tiny little guy with a big personality that’s still starting to shine as I settle into my new life. I can be pretty shy at first, but every day I get a little more comfortable and curious about the world around me.
Most of my days right now are spent wandering around the house, finding cozy places to lay down, relaxing near my people (but not too close yet), and catching up on lots of rest. My crate is my safe space, I sleep through the night in there and will often choose to hang out in there during the day, too.
I’m also beginning to discover toys! I’ve picked up a few dog toys here and there, and my foster family thinks I’ll become more playful as I continue adjusting to a calmer, happier life. I really enjoy being around the resident dog as well. I don’t really play yet, but I seem comforted having another pup nearby.
I have the sweetest little howl that I like to show off every now and then. It’s quiet, adorable, and sounds more like a tiny song than a bark. My foster family says it’s one of the cutest things about me.
The outside world is still very new and scary to me. Going outside and walking on a leash has been hard so far, and I tend to freeze up and get nervous. My foster family is helping me slowly build confidence and learn that outside can be safe. Right now, I’m using wee wee pads and doggy diapers while I continue working on leash skills and potty routines.
I’m also learning that being picked up and handled can be safe and gentle. I’m still a little fearful sometimes, but I’m already making progress and getting more comfortable each day.
Because I didn’t receive the care I needed earlier in life, I have a few medical things that are being addressed now, including a heart murmur and some other minor health concerns. My rescuers and foster family are making sure I get the care and love I deserve so I can continue feeling better and healthier.
What I really need is a patient, loving home that will let me continue coming out of my shell at my own pace. I may be shy at first, but there’s a sweet, funny little dog in here who is ready to blossom with the right family.
Love,
Pablo 🐾

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
