Panther

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Male
Breed: Golden Retriever & Mini Poodle Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2024
Weight: Approx 10 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Panther is a super sweet young doodle who needed a second chance at a good life. He is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face! He also is experiencing some separation anxiety in his foster home that they are working through. He will need a committed adopter willing to continue working with him on this in his forever home!

A Note from the Foster: Panther is an adorable very mini mini-golden doodle. Equal parts snuggly and rambunctious he loves to do just about anything as long as he’s with you!

He does not like to be kenneled and it can be a bit stressful for him. Due to his previous life experiences he has not learned to keep his kennel clean. He’s learning on both fronts, but would really prefer to spend as little time in there as possible. He does not sleep in a kennel at night, preferring instead to snuggle up right next you. He will sleep all through the night and does not need to get up to go out.

He would benefit from another confident and playful adult dog as a role model for some of the areas he is learning to build some confidence (and manners) in. He absolutely loves playing chase with other dogs and is trying really hard to get his foster dog siblingsq to snuggle him. He is working on house training and has made good progress. He is learning to walk on a leash and enjoys spending time outside with people. He does great with every person at every age that he’s met.

Panther does display some signs of separation anxiety, but has also had some big changes in a short period of time and is adjusting better every day! Panther’s ideal home would have a family that is committed to spending lots of time with him and including him in as much of their lives as possible so he doesn’t need to be in that darn kennel or away from them, because he’s happiest when he’s with you. He would also benefit from some training and routine to build confidence. He is quite smart, treat motivated, and catches on quickly. He’ll answer to “puppy”, comes when called, and has learned sit with very little effort. He really is such a love and will flourish with the right family!

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $500-$1250 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
