Oceane

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. We continue to help in these areas as the winter season continues!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Oceane, the happiest little brindle beauty you’ll ever meet! This 8‑week‑old shepherd-mixed-breed pup has a heart as big as her puppy paws. Oceane adores everyone in her foster home - kids, older dogs and has yet to meet the cat. She’s playful, curious, and learning her manners quickly (treats help a lot). She is more on the submissive side and a little timid. We're allowing her some time to still settle into foster life and for her personality to blossom.

Oceane’s ideal day involves a romp in the yard (if its not too cold), a few squeaky toys, and plenty of cuddles on the couch. We are working on crate-training and she is doing very well. Barely any whining and gets her meals in her kennel. We are also working on house training and to sit for snacks. She is very smart and has begun to go potty outside, keeping to one little area. With her loving nature and big brown eyes, Oceane is ready to bring lots of cuddles, love, laughter, and endless tail wags to her forever family.

If you’re looking for a best friend who will grow up by your side, Oceane’s your little lady! Come meet her today and see why everyone falls in love at first sight.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
