History: A 3-year-old Pomeranian with the face of a teddy bear and the heart of a loyal best friend.
Nova looks just like a tiny brown bear cub—and she knows it. With her fluffy coat, expressive eyes, and quirky personality, this girl is one-of-a-kind. She’s the type of dog who will make you laugh with her little antics one minute and curl up beside you like a shadow the next.
Nova loves to be near her people—she’s happiest when she’s part of the action (or napping on your lap during the action). Because of her attachment to her humans, she can have some separation anxiety, so she’ll thrive with someone who’s home often or can help her feel safe when left alone.
She’s sweet, silly, and totally unforgettable—and she’s hoping her forever person is out there looking for a sidekick just like her.
If you’re ready for a little bear cub with a big heart, Nova is waiting to meet you!
A Note from the Foster: Who needs a little brown bear who is sweet as honey and snuggly as can be?
Meet me! I am Nova! I am an adorable, little three year old Pomeranian pup who was recently rescued from breeders. I am so happy to be here and ready to start a new life.
I have so much to learn & hoping you can help me. I am not potty trained to go outside, but I am potty pad trained. Being outdoors is new as I was always kept inside. I think the fresh air is wonderful! I am so thankful I am only three years old and haven’t missed experiencing too much. Even though I am the best snuggler and happy indoors, I am ready to go wherever you are willing to take me.
I might fuss initially when I have to go to bed at night. What youngster doesn’t? I do very well in my crate overnight and sleep through the night. I do protest being put in a crate during the day when my peeps are out and about. I have spent my life up until now in one full-time. I am so done with that and I am going to tell you about it. I am a girl who needs to be out with her pack.
I get along with other dogs as I am a breeder release and have been around many. I need to learn basic commands and manners. Nothing was taught to me. I am very smart, so some education will go a long way. If you have another dog to show me the ropes, this would be beneficial, but not necessary. I certainly will soak up ALL the attention.
I will be anxiously waiting to hear from you soon. In the meantime, I will be learning what it is to be a dog. I will dream each night that someone like you finds me and I find my forever family.
Love,
Nova 🐻

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
