Nova

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: American Bully Mix
Age: Est DOB: 03/2021
Weight: 60 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Nova was locally surrendered to rescue and is behind sweet. She is full of life and love and ready to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Ms. Nova is the potato of love.  She is full of love, sass, joy and cuddles.  Oh, and food, and little bit of drama.  Here is what she likes:

Stuffed toys--she will shake them, they deserve it.  She will chew on them, they started it.  They are all hers, but she will share, but she will want to take them outside if you let her.

Cuddles--you will never be lonely, you will always have her to cuddle with on the couch.  You will always get kisses and get to listen to snoring and best of all, you will get to pet the softest, silkest ears and head on the planet.

Food--all the food.  She has been on a diet, not a big one, but a little cut down on food cause she was a little chunkier than she should have been.  SHE IS NOT A FAN.  Watching her run to her kennel morning and evening for her meals is adorable though.  She does this little twirl right before she goes in to check to make sure we know where we need to go and that she is almost there.  Then she throws herself in and sits.  She has learned where the treats are kept and will stare at us and then walk over and stare at them.  She learns.

This all equals out to a dog that loves people, wants to be around people, and to find her forever family.  She does very well with our dogs, and is learning to play with our two year old dog.  We have a fenced yard and as it warms up she is enjoying cooking herself outside in the sun and overseeing the neighborhood.  She will be happy with other dogs, or as a single dog.  She is not a fan of car rides.  She will sploot and I think makes herself weigh 20lbs more, add 15 min to your departure time, but once she is in the car she is fine.

Overall she is a good dog, with lots of personality and love to give.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
