History: Nori is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
Nori is a 4-year-old female Norwich Terrier primarily managed for severe, chronic bilateral otitis externa with ear polyps, which may ultimately require surgical intervention.
On 04/20/2026, Nori was diagnosed with severe prolific coalescing polyps obstructing both ear canals, severe otitis externa, and Grade III periodontal disease. Ear cytology revealed a mixed infection of yeast, cocci, and rods. Treatment was initiated with oral antibiotics (Clavacillin), oral antifungals (Terbinafine), and topical ear drops (Synotic). At this time, the potential need for a future Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) was noted. On 05/06/2026, a recheck examination showed slight improvement in the polyps. An ear cytology confirmed the presence of yeast. A long-acting BNT ointment was infused into both ears, and the oral antifungal was continued. A follow-up ear recheck is scheduled for 06/03/2026.
A Note from the Foster: Nori is a sweet 4 year-old Norwich Terrier. She remains shy but has so much love to give. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and quiet as a church mouse.
Nori’s best day is to sit on the couch and nap. She has a good amount of energy and is so easy to have around the house. She is loyal and loves to stay close. She is wonderful with my resident dogs. So respectful of their space and needs. She would be best in a home without small children. They move so fast.
Please do not let her ear issues steer you away from loving her. She will be worth your time and patience.
She will be eligible for our Foster to Adopt program as her spay is scheduled for 7-6-26. She would love to be in her forever home as soon as possible.
Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
