History: Nemo is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Nemo!
This special little guy is 7 years old and has been making so much progress over these four weeks with his foster family! He loves their resident cairn terrier and is learning the ropes from her. He alerts them when he needs to poop, but marking is still a work in progress. He wears belly bands without issue and they hope neutering will help.
He is starting to really enjoy sofa snuggles, outside time, and treats. Still timid when people approach to pet but enjoys being pet once he knows you. He learns commands quickly and makes us smile with his goofiness at times.
He recently learned how fun walks can be and is rapidly figuring out how to walk on a leash. He has learned how to jump up on the sofa and is slowly figuring out stairs. At night he stays calmly in a bed in our room.
He has shown no aggression with three different dogs. No data on how he does with cats or kids but there hasn’t been one sign of aggression from him so likely he’d be fine.
He’s a 10 pound sweetheart, doesn’t shed and is SO soft. The foster family can’t wait to find him the right forever home- is it yours?
Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
