History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: Nathan is a 6-month-old male Lab mix with a curious nose and a whole lot of personality! This spunky, active pup is always ready for fun, whether that’s playing outside, digging in the snow, or entertaining himself with a favorite toy, ball, or bone. While he has plenty of playful energy, Nathan also has a sweet, cuddly side and enjoys settling in after a day of adventure. He really likes being close to his people!
Nathan is a smart boy who already knows some basic commands and is very food-motivated, making training both effective and fun. House training is going well—he has no accidents when kept on a consistent schedule. He settles easily and sleeps in his crate at night and spends time in the crate during the day when we’re away.
At times, Nathan can be a little unsure, but with reassurance he gains confidence quickly. Continued positive experiences and training will help him in this area even more. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and respects their cues when they’ve had enough of his puppy energy…most of the time.
Nathan would thrive in an active home that can continue building his confidence, provide structure, and of course, plenty of love. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent companion, Nathan may be your perfect match! 💙

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
