Mona

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Age: Est DOB: 05/2019
Weight: 11 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Mona is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: This sweet 6-year-old Pomeranian is a gentle soul who’s looking for a patient, loving home where she can truly blossom. She may be shy at first, but underneath that nervous exterior is one of the kindest, most tender-hearted pups you’ll ever meet.

Mona is very timid and needs time to feel safe around new people. When she’s unsure, she may tremble - but she has never shown any aggression. No barking, no growling - just quiet hope that she’s in good hands. Once you start petting her, she’ll simply stay by your side and soak it all in, learning that she’s safe and cared for.

She’s currently working on her potty training. Because she can feel overwhelmed outside, she sometimes freezes and has trouble going to the bathroom. She’s made some progress, but she’ll need a patient adopter who understands her pace and can continue helping her build confidence. Like many shy dogs, she may have occasional accidents indoors, especially when she’s feeling unsure.

With time, consistency, and love, I believe Mona will come out of her shell and show her full, beautiful personality.

She is scheduled to be spayed on April 3rd and will be ready to join her forever home just a few days afterward.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
