History: Mittens is a BEAUTIFUL cocker spaniel who needed a second chance at a good life. One of our coordinators said she is the most beautiful black coated girl with striking white speckled paws. She is such a sweet girl who deserves to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Mittens is a beautiful parti-cocker spaniel. Her black and white spots on her legs that are so unique and has soulful brown eyes are beautiful.
Mittens is learning how to be a dog and no longer a breeder… She seeks comfort in her kennel yet is exploring her new world. She is quiet as a mouse, not a sound out of this girl. She loves treats and chin scratches. She enjoys being outside and handles a leash just fine. She is increasing her walking distance everyday. Not bothered by other people or dogs at all; quietly observes her new surroundings.
She eats and drinks like a charm and does potty and poop outside on a schedule. Since she is new to dog life outside of a kennel patience will be needed in understanding an accident from time to time.
She is getting used to household sounds and day to day life in a home sleeping, following her people or being outside. She sits quietly in her kennel in the car and looks out the window or sleeps. Mittens will be a sweet companion and is so deserving to find her forever home.
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
