History: Malcolm is a handsome goofy boy who needed a second chance at a good life. He is a sweet good boy who hopes to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Malcolm is about 2 years old and slowly but surely getting used to living in a home. He’s starting to greet me with excitement when I get home from work and loves to follow me around for backyard walks.
Malcolm is from a breeder release so everything is new to him. We’re teaching him how to use stairs, he’s picking up going potty outside very quickly, and he’s also learning how to interact with people without being afraid. He recently just discovered how much he loves chew toys and small stuffed animals to fling around and chase after.
Malcolm lives with two other dogs, 1 small and 1 large and takes cues and corrections well from both of them. He’s a little bit scared of the resident cat but gives her distance.
The more he learns to trust the more cuddly he is becoming. He is seeking out human touch and likes to sit in my lap for cuddles and pets. I think he would do well in a house with kids as long as they can be respectful of his shy nature and would like to have other pets around but wouldn’t require them.
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
