History: Lottie is a super adorable medium size lab mix who arrived to rescue from our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort back in November and we soon learned she was expecting! Lottie has been such a great momma and her and her pups are officially ready to start their journeys in finding their forever homes soon!
A note from the foster: Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my bio. I came into rescue newly pregnant, which was a huge surprise for my foster mom. I delivered 7 beautiful puppies of all different colors. My puppies have all been adopted and now I'm ready to find my family.
When I was pregnant, I was the calmest dog you ever met. Now that I no longer have the responsibility of being a mom, I have come out of my shell more. I still try to protect my house as if my puppies were still here and will let you know when anyone is walking by. I can be leary of strangers, but once I realize they are not a threat I am as friendly as can be.
I love being with my people. The closer, the better. I will even give you my paw, just for that extra contact. I love people of all ages.
I am very food motivated which makes training easier. I know sit, shake, down, kennel and stay. I am working on not pulling on a leash and not jumping up on people, but again I just like to be close to people. I do like to try to chase birds and rabbits on walks, so I do have a slight prey drive.
I am learning what it means to be a dog and love it! I have become interested in toys and bones. However, nothing makes me happier than curling up next to my person and getting some scratches.
Thanks again for reading!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status:Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
