Breed: Pitbull Terrier Mix
Age: Est DOB: 10/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!
History: We welcomed a litter of pitbull mix puppies from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and they arrived to rescue SO sweet and each hoping to find a forever home of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Lily: 20 pounds of pure personality in a fun-sized package!
At 5 months old and about 20 lbs, Lily is a petite pittie mix with beautiful German Shepherd-like coloring—and maybe a dash of something smaller for scale. Her ears have a satellite system of their own — they tilt and swivel in every direction, always tuning in to your affection.
Despite her compact size, Lily still manages to sound like a herd of buffalo scampering across the kitchen floor. She is packed with personality — from her dramatic baby grumbles to her pouncy, bouncy, full-body-wiggle playfulness. She loves being outside and is happy exploring on walks, sniffing for critters or chomping snowflakes straight out of the sky. Indoors she loves a good nylabone gnaw, squeaky toy or bully stick. Of course, nothing beats a good pair of Mom or Dad’s shoes, but she’s easily redirected to appropriate toys or a rousing round of tug.
Lily does great in her crate during the day and overnight. She may voice a few objections about it at first, but she settles in quickly and snoozes like a champ - in every position possible! She’s doing well on potty training. She’s accident-free during the day on a schedule but she’ll still need an overnight break until her body catches up with her big spirit. Luckily she’s such a solid snoozer, she goes out and does her business on auto-pilot so she can get back to counting sheep.
Lily is a spirited companion for kids, playing enthusiastically but knowing when to ease up. She enjoys following the lead of other dogs and respects their boundaries. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we suspect she’d take the hint from one solid swat and quickly accept them as the true household authorities.
Lily is a silly, roly-poly little meatball with the sweetest face and warmest heart, ready to bring her big love to her forever family. Small body. Massive joy. Endless entertainment!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
