History: Lille is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Lille - the sweetest little love bug ever!
Lille is everything wonderful wrapped up in a petite package. She is spunky, goofy, brave, gentle and loving. In just a short amount of time in her foster home her beautiful personality has already started to shine through.
Lille loves to play with her dog siblings and run laps around the coffee table with them. She can go from rambunctious to napping in what seems like a split second! Although she loves having dog siblings, I do think that Lille is self-assured enough to also be the only dog in the home. She follows me (foster mom) into every room I go in. As I'm making dinner I can feel her wet nose boop the back of my leg. She loves to lay next to me on the couch and rest her head on my leg or arm, and when I pick her up to carry her around I feel like she just melts into my arms. She is so gentle - never once showing any fear when I wipe her paws or pick her up. Although she is such a brave and affectionate girl, her future family will need to continue to work on her confidence. Everything is new for her and she just needs kind people to teach her how amazing living in a loving home can be!
Potty training is a work in progress but she is picking it up quickly. We can tell Lille aims to please, but she just doesn't always know what's expected of her! She is taken out regularly in a fenced in yard. You could also use an outdoor pen. Although she is picking it up quickly, she does still have accidents inside. She was just introduced to walking on a leash and so far it does not come naturally to her, so it will take a patient adopter to teach her the ropes of leash walking and help her realize it's not so scary.
Lille is anxious in her kennel but does settle down. Instead of barking she paces and cries. However, if she can have eyes on you she will lay in her kennel without a fight. She just doesn't like to feel alone! She is content in her kennel when foster mom works from home and sleeps through the night in her kennel without a peep as long as she can be near you and see you.
Lille has some goofy quirks! She loves to watch TV. She will also sit next to me and fall asleep sitting up. She has also become obsessed with learning to climb stairs. It took her about 5 days of trying over and over before she finally got it! She still climbs them very cautiously and methodically, but she is so proud of herself for figuring it out.
Lille is such a delight to have around and we love watching her learn and grow. We can't wait for her to meet her forever family!
Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
