History: Lagoon is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Lagoon!
He's an adorable little fluff nugget with the sweetest personality. He can be a bit timid but warms up quickly. Lagoon loves other dogs and is often seen trotting happily after my two resident dogs. He loves attention and snuggles and pounces playfully at my feet. With his tiny stature, he also likes to get a better view by standing up on his back legs to make himself taller as he scopes things out.
Lagoon is currently kenneled at night and when I'm gone and does well. I'm sure he would also be happy to sleep in bed with you. He does his business outside consistently, but his one area for improvement is that he also marks often inside. (He's affectionately earned the nickname Sir Marks A Lot.) With his younger age, there's a chance that will improve after his neuter, but there's no guarantee. We have not ventured out for leash walks yet as I've been giving him time to settle in. Soon, though, we'll try some walks and he'll get to go on a field trip to watch my nieces play ball. He does great riding in the car in a kennel for safety.
Lagoon melts hearts wherever he goes. He brought so much joy to the residents during our Senior Buddies visit, and also at another senior living community. If you're looking for a darling little companion that will keep you smiling and giggling with his antics, Lagoon just may be your guy!
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
