A Note from the Foster: Kowalski —Old man puppy with eyes that will melt your heart.
Meet- Kowalski, a shepherd mix with soulful puppy eyes and a delightfully serious expression that doesn't match his happy-go-lucky personality—his foster family can't help but laugh at the contrast. He's all puppy in the best ways: curious, brave, and always ready for the next tiny adventure. This sweet guy lives for variety. One minute he's soaking up cuddles, the next he's on the hunt for a stray toy to pounce on like it's the greatest prize in the world. He's smart, eager, and learning quickly—already making great progress with potty training and leash walking. The only thing Kowalski is not good at yet is sleeping in his kennel at night. He would rather sleep at our feet during the day and next to us at night. It's not his fault; his foster family is weak. He is very young and will learn to sleep in his kennel if you are stronger than we are! Kowalski is also a little lovebug. He's sharing his foster home with a doggy foster brother (Teddy), who's warming up at his own pace—while Kowalski is fully committed to being friends right now. He's the kind of pup who brings joyful, playful energy into the room without even trying.
Kowalski will thrive in a home ready for all the fun that comes with a growing puppy—especially one with kids and/or other pets to keep him company. If you're looking for a cuddly, goofy, adventure-ready best friend, Kowalski is ready to meet you.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
