History: Kitty is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

Meet Kitty!

I always wanted a cat but am allergic… so instead I got the cutest little Shih Tzu named Kitty! 💕

Kitty is a tiny 10-lb lovebug who is deeply connected to her people. She wants to be beside you, on your lap, or tucked near your feet at all times. She especially bonds closely with women and is happiest when she has her special person nearby.

She’s a great car rider, loves cozy naps at the foot of the bed, and fully embraces her role as the perfect little purse dog. Kitty is also a wonderful eater and has settled beautifully into home life.

This sweet girl does have some fears, especially around young children, so she is looking for a quieter home without little kiddos. Older, respectful kids may be okay.

Kitty has the most unique look with her beautiful light hazel eyes and soft pink-toned features. She does have a small cataract in one eye and will be seeing an eye specialist to make sure everything is checked out properly. She is currently foster-to-adopt while she finishes her vetting, including her spay and dental scheduled for early June.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
