History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Junior – Wanna Be Best Friends?
Woof! My name’s Junior, and I’m a 1-year-old Catahoula mix with a big heart and an even bigger smile. I think everyone—people AND dogs—is my friend, so get ready for lots of tail wags and happy vibes!
Here’s What I Love:
Meeting new people and dogs (seriously, I love everyone!)
Playing fetch, going for walks, and exploring outside
Chewing on bones and learning new tricks (I’ll do anything for a treat!)
I’m super smart and already know some basic commands. I sleep quietly in my crate at night and keep it clean. During the day, I do well in my crate too—just put me somewhere calm because I get a little FOMO when I see the fun happening!
A Few Things I’m Working On:
Walking nicely on a leash (I get excited, but I’m learning!)
Understanding when other dogs are done playing (I just love playtime so much!)
House manners—this is my first time living in a home, so I’m figuring out what’s a toy and what’s not.
I’ve got lots of energy, so I need exercise every day. After that, I’m happy to chill and chew on a bone.
My Dream Home:
I’d love a home with a playful dog buddy—or I’d be just as happy being your one-and-only as long as we go on walks and have fun together. I’m great with older kids, but I might be too bouncy for little ones.
So… what do you say? Want to meet me? I promise to bring love, laughter, and endless adventures to your life!
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
