A Note from the Foster: Meet Junior — Your Future Adventure Buddy!
Hi! I’m Junior, a 1‑year‑old Cattle Dog/German Shepherd/Catahoula mix who loves people, dogs, and exploring the world. I’m a happy, energetic guy who learns fast and can’t wait to find my forever family.
About Me:
I’m doing great on the leash and make an awesome walking or running partner.
I love playing fetch, exploring outside, and hanging out with other dogs.
I get along with all dogs, though I may need slow introductions with some males.
I’m very food‑motivated and learn tricks and commands super quickly.
I’m potty trained and crate trained, and I do really well in my crate — day or night.
After exercise, I settle down nicely with a toy and have recently started choosing to relax near my humans. I love being close!
What I’m Working On:
House manners like not jumping up or counter surfing... I'm getting better at sitting nicely when I get excited about something!
Being less vocal when I don’t get my way. I'm really trying to be more patient.
Learning what’s a toy and what isn’t, but I do know "leave it" and will stop if someone reminds me.
This is my first time living in a house, so everything is new, but I’m trying hard and improving every day!
My Ideal Home:
I’d love a home with a playful dog friend or with humans who will keep me active and keep teaching me. I’m really hoping someone will give me a chance — I have so much potential and so much love to give.
I can’t wait to meet you!
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
