Jimbo

Adoption Status: Pending

Jimbo is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Male
Breed: Dachshund Mix
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Jimbo 🐾

Jimbo is an approximately 3-month-old Dachshund mix with a big personality packed into a little body! This sweet and playful boy is full of puppy charm and is always ready for his next adventure.

Jimbo absolutely adores his foster mom and loves to follow her around the house like her tiny shadow. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen, folding laundry, or relaxing on the couch, you can count on Jimbo to be right by your side.

He plays wonderfully with kids and has a playful, affectionate nature that makes him a great family companion. Don’t let his small size fool you; Jimbo hangs out with bigger dogs and enjoys trying to play alongside them. He’s confident, social, and learning new things every day.

Potty training is going great, Jimbo still has some accidents but is using a potty pad inside and is really motivated by treats so he should get it in no time!

He is not a huge fan of his crate, but can you blame him when mom's lap is so much better?

If you’re looking for a loyal little buddy who will bring laughter, cuddles, and plenty of tail wags into your home, Jimbo might just be your perfect match. 💛

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
