A Note from the Foster: Meet Your New Best Friend 🐾
Hi! I’m a fun-loving, tail-wagging professional snuggle expert looking for my forever humans.
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way:
✔️ Fully potty trained (because I’m a classy pup)
✔️ Excellent house manners
✔️ Elite-level cuddler
✔️ Expert sleeper….all night without needing a potty break
✔️ Vision challenges… but zero life challenges
That’s right — my eyesight isn’t perfect, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I have something called Achromatopsia, which is a fancy way to say day-blindness. This means when it’s really bright out, I can’t see very well. It causes me to move slower and more cautiously until I get used to the area. My foster family is trying out different goggles and sunglasses on me to see if it helps, but don’t worry, even without them, I get around just fine. I memorize my favorite spots, and I navigate with confidence. Sometimes I might bonk into something new, but I just shake it off and keep going. Resilient? Absolutely. Dramatic about it? Never.
My Personality:
I’m playful, goofy, and always ready for a good time. Bones to chew on or crinkle toys? I’m in. Cozy movie night? I’m already curled up next to you. I love being around my people and will happily follow you from room to room like your loyal little shadow.
Special Skills:
· Championship-level cuddling
· Tail wags that could power a small village
· Making everyone I meet smile
· Turning ordinary days into happy ones
What I’m looking for? A loving home with kind humans who see that a little blurry vision doesn’t dim a happy spirit. I don’t need perfect eyesight to see that life is good — especially if it includes belly rubs.
Ready for a best friend who’s full of joy, resilience, and love? It’s me Jake, I’m your dog. 🐶💛
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
