Inna

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Old English Sheepdog
Age: DOB: 01/2021
Weight: 48 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes- needs another dog in the home
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Older or No Children
House Trained: Yes

History: Inna is a stunning girl who needed a second chance to a good life. She will thrive with a patient environment and family who is willing to continue working on her trust and confidence. She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever family soon!

Inna was found to have hip dysplasia by our veterinary team upon examination. We would be happy to provide more information about hip dysplasia upon request.

A note from the foster: Inna is a special lady looking for a very special family! She is looking for someone who will cherish the little 1 inch tail nubbin wags she gives sparingly and will celebrate the joy that comes sporadically in small packages. They are baby steps but so rewarding!

Inna is slow to trust and responds well when there are other dogs with positive energy. She will even participate in some wrestling and chase games with the right partner! One time we caught her experimenting with playing with a ball on her own after watching others do the same!

Inna is potty trained and is quiet in her kennel at night. She goes to her kennel often throughout the day as well. It's a safe place for her! We are so happy when she chooses to come out and spend time with the family and she is approaching people for pets more and more each week!

On a leash, Inna is a dream! She walks right beside the leash holder or a few steps behind and looks for guidance often. So far in a couple stores like the pet store or fleet farm she has been a perfect lady!

She startles easily so needs a family without small children. She also needs a family committed to keeping her safe as she has demonstrated some wander-lust and struck out on adventures on her own. A secure fenced yard would be ideal...she does like to spend time outside!

It's hard to imagine what came before for Inna but her future is bright. Watching her experience happiness is the best part of helping a rescued dog!

Adoption Fee: $550 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
