Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador Retriever & Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

This stunning litter of petite lab/shepherd mixes available to rescue with their mom, Holly who arrived skin and bones. She has a wonderful temperament like her puppies and they are each hoping to find forever homes soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi my name is Huxley but I am go by sweetie pie, little man, handsome, snuggle bug, the handsomest boy ever!  Really it's an endless list, and they all fit, cause I really am awesome.  My foster mom said so, so it must be true.

I live with three other dogs and they are teaching me all the puppy rules.  Supposedly stealing toys is bad, so is biting others' tails and feet.  Seems like unnecessary rules, but I am learning cause boy they get crabb-beeee and bark at me.  I just come back for more though,  Mom says it's cause I'm a puppy, THAT is NOT what dad says.

I am learning to be in my kennel, and I do well when there are toys for me to play with.  I like shaking things to make sure they are dead, or if they make noise.  I really like chewing, any bones are good, and tug of war and chase.  I eat in my kennel too.  I really like food and am a growing boy.  I am working on sit, and the leash is kinda scary so I give sad eyes.

I am not sure why I have to go outside to go potty, rugs are good right now, but I am getting better and will follow the big dogs outside and try to play with them.  But it's been a little cold, and I don't like that so I go back to the door after doing my business.  CUDDLE TIME!!!

I am pretty much a blank canvas and ready to be trained.  I am smart and I do listen and want a family of my own to cuddle with, play with, and train with.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
