History: Huey is a handsome little fella who arrived to rescue recently and immediately warmed our hearts. He is officially ready to start his journey in finding his forever home and hopes to find them soon!
A Note from the Foster: Huey is a happy and affectionate puppy who loves other dogs, does well living with a cat and chickens, and LOVES people. He loves giving kisses and doing zoomies around the house. He hasn’t been around kids but I’d imagine he’d love playing with them and would just try to kiss them nonstop.
Huey is very petite at only about 5 lbs and he has velvety soft fur. He does well entertaining himself with toys but also loves playing with other dogs. He listens well to corrections from them when they don’t want to play too. His favorite toy seems to be a white fluffy ball that he loves to throw around and chase after.
We’re working on potty training and he does well using potty pads. I’d recommend keeping him on a schedule and rewarding for potties outside each time. He loves food and treats which usually helps with training!
I think he’d love to have dog siblings but would also be happy without since he’s taken to me so well. He’s super loving and sweet and his wild side makes me laugh every day. He's been a joy to have in our little pack!
Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
