History: Harbor is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome who is working on his trust and confidence and hopes to find his forever home soon!
Harbor has a Grade 3 Mitral valve murmur. Normal measurements. It is recommended every 6-12 month veterinary exams and Echocardiograms to check his heart.
A Note from the Foster: Harbor, also known as Harvey, has a gentle heart. In just a few weeks, he has come a long way. He loves to cuddle with our resident dog. He is also warming up to affection from people. If you don’t rush him, he will curl up next to you on the couch. Being petted seems new to him so we are careful to go at Harbor’s pace to help him feel less anxious. Because of this, he would probably do best in a home without small children. He does well with other dogs, even if he is a bit timid at first. He is learning to run, play, and walk on leash. Harbor would love to find a forever home where his humans will be patient with him as he learns that it is safe to relax and enjoy all of the good things that life holds for him. Harbor has a heart murmur which will require an annual check, but he does not have any restrictions.
Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
