Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest
Gender: Male
Breed: Cattle Dog & Australian Shepherd Mix (best guess)
Age: DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!
History: Breaking news from the kennel wire: A basket full of Arkansas puppies just completed the most lopsided trade in Minnesota sports history! Heading north to Minnesota in exchange for “future considerations”. The pups arrived, immediately demanded sweaters then signed long-term contracts as professional lap warmers. Arkansas says they’ll miss them; Minnesota says they just upgraded their roster with elite snuggle stats and zero salary cap!
A Note from the Foster: Gus is the kind of puppy that makes people smile the second they see him. With his snowy white coat, adorable brown and black accents on his ears, and the sweetest, softest eyes, he has a gentle way of stealing hearts.
While some puppies are full-speed chaos, Gus is more of a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He likes to take life at his own pace, happily cruising along, checking things out, and enjoying the moment. His laid-back vibe makes him an easy pup to have around.
Gus is also a top-tier snuggler. If there’s a couch, blanket, or human nearby, he’s more than happy to curl up and settle in for a nap. He sleeps through the night like the good boy he is and is generally calm, quiet, and just happy to be part of whatever you’re doing.
When it comes to food, Gus is a serious fan of dinner time. This hearty little dude shows up ready for meals and treats with enthusiasm — no picky eating here.
He enjoys hanging out with other dogs and will happily try to join the fun, though sometimes he’s the adorably awkward guy figuring out how to jump into the game. And if it all feels like a bit much, he’s perfectly content to watch for a minute… or wander off for a cozy nap.
And when he’s not thrilled about being left alone, he’ll sing you the cutest little puppy howl that’s impossible not to smile at.
Gus is truly a 100% perfect mutt, currently listed as an Australian Cattle Dog mix, but really he’s just a sweet, soulful pup who loves snacks, snuggles, and being near his people.
If you’re looking for a lovable, easygoing puppy who will happily nap beside you and melt into every cuddle, Gus might just be your guy. 💛
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
