History: Goldy is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Goldy is special so she’s asking that we find a special person to give her a home. Is that you? Let’s see.
Goldy is brimming with love and she needs to know she’s safe and that you will treat her with patience, gentleness and respect. All dogs require assurance that they are welcome in an unfamiliar place and Goldy is no exception. Since she lived in an environment that was sadly lacking in any kind of affection, she still is a little nervous about being approached and takes her time coming to someone to be touched. It’s not that she is standoffish but her immediate reaction is to be cautious. It’s best to be slow and quiet around her.
She is a little hard of hearing so to get her attention, one has to make sure she hears or sees you clearly. Hand gestures are best.
Goldy’s kidneys don’t work the way they should and she is on a special diet but thankfully is not showing any symptoms of her condition and should live a normal dog life in the future. She has lots of energy so she likes walks and stays by your side on a leash and doesn’t pull or resist.
That’s a good short intro to Goldy. If you’re interested, her foster would be thrilled to introduce you to her. Goldy’s unique personality makes her a lively companion who will both delight you and surprise you.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
