Genie

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: DOB: 01/2026
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Too Young!

History: I am Bruni’s puppy!

Bruni is a stunning young lab mix who needed help locally in Northern MN along with her adorable 5 little sidekicks. They settled into a wonderful foster home and now are officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hello, my name is Genie and I am part of the sidekick’s litter. I am the vibrant playful one in the group. I am always playing or discovering new things. If anyone is making noise it’s me. I’m not loud by any means I just want to be out and about and learning new things! The world is a fun place and I am eager to be in it.

My foster family works hard to ensure that I am exposed to as many different sights, sounds, touches, feels, people, and so on as possible so that I am set up for success for my future family. Things like this are very important at my young age! However, because I am a puppy there are lots of things for me to still learn that my forever family should plan for, such as leash training, kennel training, potty training, obedience, and so much more… but key skills to help me adapt to these things have already begun.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
