History: Fynn is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Fynn (AKA Kirby) came into rescue as a former breeder dog. He has had to learn an entirely new world and is still learning. Kirby is a sweet, happy little dog and deserves the best home. He has come a long way and is ready to find his forever home.
Kirby prefers to sleep in his kennel at night and does a great job. He will often nap in his kennel during the day but prefers his door open. I keep his kennel in my bedroom, and he has access to it all the time. As soon as we get up in the morning Kirby really wants to give his person some love before going out to potty. He is always so excited to get up in the morning.
He is a great eater and loves snacks of any kind. When he goes outside prefers his person t to go outside too. During the winter he gets to his business quickly and in the summer he potties and then it is outside play and explore time.
When I leave the house Kirby goes in his kennel. He does have some separation anxiety and sometimes barks when I leave the house and when he hears the car pull into the driveway. He has gotten much better at this and doesn’t continuously bark when I’m gone.
Kirby needs a home with a small/medium size dog that will play with him and will be a good role model. He has come a long way from being a breeder but still needs the support from another dog to show him what being a companion dog is all about. Kirby is potty trained and does best on a schedule so he know when he is going to go out and potty.
Kirby would do best in a quieter home. He will need patience and love, especially in the beginning. His person/family will need to keep boundaries to help Kirby understand that he isn’t the king of the home.
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
