History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Eileen—known to her foster mom as Elly—is a sweetheart senior gal and true couch queen looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. She’s a resilient three‑legged wonder who gets around beautifully. Stairs are no problem, and she does great on walks and hardwood floors.

Her house manners are impeccable. Elly has had not a single accident in the house and is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go out. She’s also a great eater and settles nicely in her crate after a few minutes.

Elly is affectionate without being demanding and absolutely lives for ear scritches and back scritches. When she’s not enjoying cuddles, you’ll find her embracing her royal title as a couch queen, curled up in her favorite cushy corner.

She’s a peaceful, easygoing presence—well‑behaved, and content just being near her people. If you’re looking for a low‑key, sweet senior who will bring comfort and quiet companionship, Eileen (Elly) might be your perfect match.

Adoption Fee: $510 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
